Great location, friendly staff and clean. Just make sure you stay on the 3rd or 4th floors.
Location was excellent Friendly and efficient staff, who went out of their way to assist. Lovely room and constant hot water
The room was opposite the lift and by the staircase on level 2 so a bit noisy. The doors should be thicker! You had to sign in to the wifi every time you used it - even 5 minute gaps!
Nice staff, good location for walking around town.
smell of Chinese food wafting in our room in the evenings. Can't park even for a minute near hotel to check in or get bags out of car. Parking not far but not convenient esp in rain, would think that would lower hotel's charge for parking.
Modern touches in funky older building (the floor slanted down from one side of the bathroom to the other, for example). Staff were fabulous, location outstanding, parking easy, and personally I loved the "antique" unique features of the building although some travelers may prefer more recent construction. We are returning to Vancouver this summer and already booked to stay there again, if that is any indication of how much we enjoyed our stay.
Bed was a little firm, and pillows, too, but I travel with my own pillow so that didn't faze me. That's it--wonderful otherwise.
The hotel is located right in the middle of town and is handy to everything. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are decorated nicely and are comfortable with all the amenities you would expect - bar fridges available on request. The bed was comfy with nice linen. There is double glass on the windows to keep out the street noise and black out blinds on the windows so it's dark when you're sleeping. There was a large screen telly with loads of channels in different languages. There was loads of hot water every morning for the shower. The hotel has a great business centre on the 3rd floor. It's easy to walk to the hotel from the Skytrain which comes from the airport.
You can faintly hear people moving about in other rooms and the wifi was difficult to access at first. Staff were able to help with this by giving me a different wifi code. There was a slightly musty smell in my room but I was able to open the window for some fresh air. There is a coffee maker in the room but no tea kettle. There is no exercise room. The check out time was 11am :-(
Location is amazing - right in downtown next to tons of restaurants and shops
outdated hotel, poor wifi, overpriced
Convenience, cleanliness & price
Very slow elevator, poor water preasure so shower hear was not effective.
Location, restaurant and bar on site, close by secure parking. Good value for money at $75.
Noisy adjacent plumbing. Street side room a bit noisy with traffic etc.
Off site parking. Noisy hotel.
The room was well made and had a great bathroom; walk in shower and a bathtub.
The room had a strong musty odour which my wife couldn't stand. Also the room was cold even after adjusting the temperature and using an oil heater.
everytime somebody would use the toilet upstairs the pipes would rumbled, and they do not have parking in their own building, in a rainy day is a little annoying, it is an ok hotel,

Moda is in the middle of everything in Vancouver, and all within very close walking distances---no driving, searching for expensive parking. It was surprisingly quiet. Wonderful staff!
$18 extra for parking the parking sucked I ask for easy parking wasn't
There was mild growing on the ceiling . Room was small and smelled bad.
Incredible staff--their welcoming service and very clean rooms, as well as an opportunity to leave our luggage in a secure room, while shopping made our stay so great! Many thanks, JR
Bathrooms and sound proofing, as well as less loud air conditioning would improve the quality of our room!
I like the style of hotel
one minor problem. I trip the breaker and had to show the staff member how to reset.
Location, cleanliness, crisp white sheets, friendly helpful staff.
Near Robson, Granville, Yaletown. I could walk or cab easily to anywhere I needed to go. The price was half of any of the other hotels I looked at. Bed was comfortable, staff was nice and room was clean. Simple but functional. The adjoining restaurant, wine bar, and sports bars are all great!
This is an old building and the walls are thin. I am sensitive to noise so didn't sleep at all. It feels more like a dorm, as you can hear all the footsteps and conversations in the hallway and the rooms above, below and beside you, not to mention I was right next to a stairwell. The wifi is akin to dial up speed so don't plan to get much done.
Close to the heart of the city
Not enough light in the room, noisy from traffic.
The location was absolutely great if you're a new tourist in the city. You will not have trouble getting around, and there are several good places to eat just a few minutes away.
The bed wasn't very comfortable and so were the pillows. The only elevator was slow (though this was intentional due to its preservation as being one of the oldest thats still operating in North America). The rooms were small. Complimentary wifi will log out as soon as youre device becomes idle and was slow with internet and facetime audio calls.
great location, nice rooms, helpful staff
Clean central with a liquor store restraint a pub and a sports bar all here!
There was a problem with heat but, after notifying the front desk, the problem was handled proficiently. The restaurant service and food was exceptional. I would stay at this location again if the need for this locale was required.
When showering the water remained in the tub... I didn't have the time to address this minor problem and, I did not indicate the fact to staff when checking out.
For what the hotel lacks in amenities they redeem themselves with the best and most professional, respectful, responsible staff I have encountered in a long time. After a night of studying and drinking wine. I left the suite in a respectable mess. I forgot my study notes on the table. The housekeeper saw its importance and rather than throw it out she returned it to the front desk. THAT IS AMAZING!! I will always recommend this hotel. I will always return. Great experience :D I ordered the king suite. It was beautiful. The bathroom... YES.
