We understand this is not a hotel with hotel amenities & services but there were basic things that were missing or needed improvement.
The apartment was not very well maintained - toilet paper holder was non-existent (had to keep roll on the side of the tub), towel holders were the plastic stick-on kind and had fallen off the wall (no place to hang damp towels), bath faucet dripping, toaster oven & oven had not been cleaned, area beside fridge unfinished/dirty, recesses of closet floor not cleaned, drawer to bedside table broken, floorboards near window give way when stepped on (more than sagging, a little scary). Could not change TV volume using the remote. WiFi extremely slow. Would have been nice for the room to have instructions on how to change air conditioning, as well as some basic guides or brochures on how to get around the city, use the metros, even a basic map of the downtown core to help first-time visitors get oriented.
The location was great - very close to metro station, to the festival quarter and within walking distance of downtown & Old Montreal. Grocery stores, pharmacy, restaurants and bus stops within the block.
Apartments were roomy, bed was comfortable. Air conditioning was loud but worked well.
