Within walking distance of station. Handy for main attractions.
Very noisy road outside. Nobody in reception to greet us, which meant I had to go to the Hilton next door and ask them to ring manager. Didn't know this would be the situation.
Parking was painful and there was nothing in site or really that close. Parked at another hotel down the street. Wasn't clean and the kitchen supplies were minimal at best. Good thing I only had to stay one night. Maybe I should have read some reviews, but I was in a rush and it was short notice. Wouldn't recommend it.
No reception . I had to ring a cell no .no one answered . I was locked outside for 35 mins . Finally called the original no and some one was sent to allow me in . Poor reception setup ...isn't really an hotel - a great n spacious suite - more a block of apartments with a door man ....if he/she is there !! Great district plenty of life n cafés
The fact that the accommodation is close to the metro
the view of my suite was looking the wall
good location and walking distance to Palais des congrés
no reception as such although there is someone who can be contacted Kitchen had very few implements and shower head was missing and never replaced
Location, Location & the modern decor.
Wood floors were very noisy but other then that I would definitely stay here again.
I liked that it was within walking distance to St. Laurent and St. Denis streets where the restaurants and nightlife is. It's also walking distance to the theatres, Chinatown, Old Montreal and St. Catherine's street, and Mont Royal. It's a safe area with lots to do. The suite was perfect for us 3 adults. We were able to make our light meals before heading out.
You definitely need access to a phone to check-in. Since I'm from Canada it wasn't too much trouble. Stairs - It is tough climbing the stairs with luggage.
Location, staff are friendly
Check in is a problem as there is no reception. It seems not very organised.
Interior Design of suite was nice, climbing 3 flights of stairs with luggage was not!!! Parking was a REALLY challenge :-(
Location was good to get to Osheaga. Convenient spot for groceries etc. Staff was nice. Good size for 3 people.
Wifi was useless. It was understood when I spoke with someone on the phone there would be parking, which there wasn't. We booked for 3 people and someone had to sleep on the futon which was hard as a rock. The main lobby smelled unbearably awful when we first checked in. Coffee maker didn't work.
The location was great - very close to metro station, to the festival quarter and within walking distance of downtown & Old Montreal. Grocery stores, pharmacy, restaurants and bus stops within the block. Apartments were roomy, bed was comfortable. Air conditioning was loud but worked well.
We understand this is not a hotel with hotel amenities & services but there were basic things that were missing or needed improvement. The apartment was not very well maintained - toilet paper holder was non-existent (had to keep roll on the side of the tub), towel holders were the plastic stick-on kind and had fallen off the wall (no place to hang damp towels), bath faucet dripping, toaster oven & oven had not been cleaned, area beside fridge unfinished/dirty, recesses of closet floor not cleaned, drawer to bedside table broken, floorboards near window give way when stepped on (more than sagging, a little scary). Could not change TV volume using the remote. WiFi extremely slow. Would have been nice for the room to have instructions on how to change air conditioning, as well as some basic guides or brochures on how to get around the city, use the metros, even a basic map of the downtown core to help first-time visitors get oriented.
Poor wifi. Not a lot of utensils in the kitchen. No salt, pepper, sponge, coffee filter, etc... the minimum to have in a kitchen
The reception of the wifi network is very poor. It can barely receive message. The timber flooring produce sound every time when you walk on it. No hair dryer nor toothpaste is provided.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Great location in Montreal, groceries across the street, Metro one block away. 100% recommended.
Location, staff tried very hard, friendly
This place has potential so it was a shame we had some disappointments. We accept it is not expensive accomodation so that is taken in to account. As the desk is not always manned & there is a note on the door to telephone for access for foreign travellers they need to advertise how they get in easiest & without incurring international phone charges. i.e. we emailed instead on our iphone & someone came straightaway. No batteries for aircon remote control. Coffee maker broken, no kettle. Dust under bed & settee. Some walls damaged, toilet seat loose. No sheets provided on arrival for sofa bed. Phone not working yet that was our advised way to get assistance as desk not manned 24/7. These are small issues which could be easily rectified in our view to make this an excellent reasonably priced, centrally located place to stay which is staffed with people who wanted to do their best for us
It was modern and the staff was super helpful.
It was not clean enough for us. Not at all...
Great price, great location
Internet was terrible.
Place was well located for activities in and around the city.
Building is old and attempts to remodel were done on the cheap. Housekeeping could use a good clean vs a quick vacuum and the wi-fi while advertised was unable to connect. Was an event weekend so paid a small fortune for the accommodations.
Location Air conditioning worked well
Room was not as represented in Pictures. Minimal furnishings, no table and chairs, no crispers in fridge, no shelves on the door of the fridge (looked like the contents had been robbed). No dish soap. Sandra did not return emails or calls Came home to find ourselves "locked out" and was informed that one of the staff had attempted to give our room to someone else. We returned only to find our keys not working, and no one had notified us. I understand that this establishment is not a "hotel", but would expect some customer service.
GREAT LOCATION FABULOUS APARTMENT CLOSE TO SHOPS ETC
THERE WERE NO BROCHURES ABOUT TOURIST ACTIVITIES hOW TO GET THE METRO ETC
The room was nice and the bed was comfortable.
Couldn't sleep much because the windows are thin and there is a lot of traffic on Sherbrooke. We will not go back to this hotel for that reason. Also, wifi didn't work in our room.
It was more like an apartment, lots of room. Decorated how I would decorate my apartment if I had one, I liked the firescape.
There is no front desk and is difficult to get ahold of someone to attend to you. No elevator and if you lose your room card you are screwed.
