Beautiful old house turned into friendly hotel. Location is great. Close to McGill uni, Mont Royal and Place des Arts. Staff very friendly. Beautiful breakfast room with good basic breakfast. Internet was not very good and we had to like the hotel facebook page to get wireless connection.

Nice, quaint older place. Good location, near subway. Friendly staff. Simple, but decent breakfast. Be aware there are no elevators to second or third floors Didn't bother me though, it kept the price down.

Love the location. The fact that is so quiet and could get a good night sleep. Love the beds and pillows The Wi-Fi actually works! Although we didn't take advantage this time, we really love having the option of breakfast in the morning (we will take advantage next time). My daughter (20 yrs old) is in love with the character and feeling of the Victorian style and so am I. We love the staff, very welcoming, professional, helpful and friendly A really minor detail, not a big deal. There was no soap dispenser in the shower, so we had to step out of the shower to get soap from beside the sink.

Very close to restaurants and several tourist points of interest. An easy walk to the main railway station. Interested and helpful reception Staff. Generally a bit worn with slow and erratic in-room Wi-Fi which can only be accessed by giving a thumbs up on Facebook. A flight of stairs to the entrance could make access difficult for some infirm/elderly people.

Room was beautiful. Bed was very comfortable. Location was great and central. Staff were responsive and kind. Breakfast was a bit skimpy but I didn't think there was going to be breakfast so it was a bonus!

very good value for the money, very friendly staff, lovely quaint building, clean quiet rooms, nice breakfast, fabulous location I asked for a room with a bathroom for 3 nights and got a room with shared bath for 2 nights. The hotel staff had nothing to do with this mixup (I reserved online)--and they were very helpful fixing it.

Small hotel with great character. Clean and very friendly, helpful staff. I had no problem with this, but it would not be suitable for disabled people due to the many stairs (part of the character of the old building)

We were very fortunate to stay the night of the staff party. It was a privilege to meet so many of the staff all at one time. We have come away with very positive memories of the hotel which we find very attractive and the staff who were friendly, courteous and very helpful. We plan to stay at your hotel on future visits to Montreal. The soap dispensers look like a good idea that has not been well enough engineered. The result is that they get loosened from their wall mountings. There has to be a better design to ensure durability.

Our room was big, especially in relation to the price. Staff was very friendly and professional. And the location is superb. No really big minuses, but: At least some of the rooms might be cold during the Quebec winter (there was a extra electric heater and it was quite OK for us, the first week of December). Breakfast was OK but nothing special.

A small, friendly bed and breakfast hotel. Rooms had 'character', small but cosy. There were a few areas that need a little renovation (e.g. the carpet was very worn) but it was clean. It would not be suitable for people with disabilities due to there being a lot of stairs.

We like the front desk people. They were professional, funny, multilingual and reliable. We have plans to return in the future. I really recommend this place. I would say the only weak spot in the Manoir Ambrose is breakfast. We would like a bit more variety in fruits. The area is a bit congested.

Not much, it was a very run down tired looking place, I guess the only redeeming feature was it's location. The complimentary continental breakfast was adequate but not outstanding, the actual breakfast room was very crowded and sparse. Not a hotel I would recommend to anyone. The room we stayed in was small it was on the ground floor level and the windows looked out onto a tall brick wall on one side and a derelict yard on the other. The bath was actually in the room itself, which was not ideal, the overall appearance of the hotel was shabby, clearly a low budget back packer establishment. The web page made it sound much better than it is in reality. Would not stay or recommend the place to anyone

Good location. We were told that we'd have a chair in the room... and we got three! Lots of stairs and no lift/elevator. Breakfast basic but OK.
