Score from 761 reviews Very good
The location was excellent, a short walk to St. Catherine's, Crescent St. and the subway.
The economy room was, tiny, outdated, dingy and poor value for money. However, this was not my first choice but the only room available.
Nice small and quite comfortable hotel, close to downtown
I'd prefer a bit greater choice for breakfast
Really interesting place to stay!
Didn't know you had to reserve parking in advance Rooms are quite small
Its location in the city center
sevral things were not fixed up (example fire detector hanging down in the room).
It was perfect location. It was Comfy bed and nice hotel.
It was pretty hot and humid inside during hot weather . Not sure how it works with AC . The plug was very low like iPhone recharge to plug it and it was too slow.
The location is ideal
No lift, narrow stairs that are not ideal for older people of for luggag.
- The location (next to metro station, next to stairs to Mt Royal) - The calm - The bed was comfortable
- The breakfast (limited choice, no yoghurt, orange juice full of water). Tea and fruits were OK. - Wi-fi didn't work very well from the room (top floor, end of the corridor)
Location was excellent for central Montreal, and metro station just 5 mins. walk away
Website did not reflect what we actually found on arrival. I think website is being addressed to more accurately reflect the style and facilities
The staff here were amazing, super friendly and accommodating. The location was also great and the room was very clean.
The room was insanely small. The bathroom was literally a closet turned into a bedroom. No elevator. Had to climb three flights of stairs. It felt a bit more like a bed and breakfast rather than a hotel.
The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The hotel was fairly quiet during my stay and I appreciated having breakfast available each morning.
Great location and breakfast for the money. The room was quaint and overall it was a great place to relax at the end of the day. The computer in the lobby was helpful since I didn't want to drag my laptop on my long trip and it allowed me to touch base with family back home. I loved being able to buy a reasonably priced bottle of water for the day to take with me. Best place for international traveler to stay.
I didn't realize how steep the stairs would be and it was a little difficult getting my luggage up and down without assistance. Not the place to stay if you have any and I mean any mobility issues.
Staff we're great, super helpful with directions & getting around.
Nice location, original architecture details.
A little rough around the edges, especially the bathroom.
Location Staff very helpful Clean
Small room and shower No fridge in room Soundproofing - could hear someone snoring in another room Lugging luggage up stairs (although owner helped on arrival)
staff location, location, location! breakfast vintage accessibility to everything we did
The location was within walking distance to many different areas (mont royal, McGill university).
The fact parking was down the street and we had to pay for 2full days when we stayed 1 night and left the next morning. Very inconvenient, especially if you had lots of luggage.
Excellent location. Close to mount royal, museums, shopping center and metro station. Very charming & helpful receptionist. Decent breakfast & parking fees. Good wifi speed. Very pleasant to stay here.
Poor sound insulation. I can hear voices from outside of the hallway & room one floor above us loudly.
The location was fantastic for its proximity to McGill. It is on a quiet street but very near the busy, fun parts of downtown. The interior design is a pleasant mix of old and new. The bed was over comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Breakfast isn't served until 7:30, which was a little late for me. The food options, especially the croissants, are excellent though. The WiFi signal is strong, but seemed to reset frequently.
Centrally located, short walking distance to many sights in downtown Montreal. Very close to McGill University. Clean but nothing fancy.
Wi-Fi service kept cutting out which is not ideal if you are there for work-related reasons.
Close to downtown, free wifi
When we got to this hotel at around 4pm, we checked in and made out way to our room. When we got there our door was open and the bed was torn apart. We tried to ask our maid when our room would be ready and she proceeded to yell at us in french, we could not communicate at all and she seemed very angry. We then had to sit in the lobby for about 25 mins, in our soaking wet clothes. The room was not what I expected from the pictures. Very small, you could not sit on the toilet without your knees getting squished by the shower in front of you. It put a very bad start to our first night in Montreal.
It's nice and cozy. Personal is very kind. Location is excellent. The bed is very comfortable
It doesn't have a shower just a tub, that was kind of weird
Good location nice area. Cheap enough. Rooms have everything you need
Shower pressure and out of breakfast early.
Breakfast was great
Shared bathroom & shower Room was very small and not much light
