Score from 290 reviews Wonderful
The staff and service were friendly, rooms comfy and clean, location was wonderful
The reception staff were very courteous and fluently bi-lingual.Excellent location within in the old city.
A few minor issues with the newly renovated rooms. Hotel did not have a relaxing lounge/bar area but there are numerous ones around the area. One main hotel restaurant and there is a second restaurant not operated by hotel but leased though we did not find either overly inviting. Fitness facility: multi-station weight unit was alright but limited cardio equipment: one treadmill that required maintenance and three older style bicycles, definitely need to improve this area. Last point: they should try to accommodate guests with children and couples on a romantic weekend on different floors, something to check if you book at this hotel.
friendly great location for our trip nice hotel
car parking had to be valet didn't want double beds with huge pillar adjacent to bed. not sure if it was booking, me or hotel that messed up the beds
In the center of Quebec Easy to visit the historical part of Quebec
valet parking service very long no king size bed in most rooms only 2 elevators, quite slow Old decoration, but not in a nice way Nothing in the room, no water, no guide, nothing to feel welcomed. Poor staff, definitely not 4 stars trained
Great restaurant in the hotel. Nice wait staff. Very comfortable room
Breakfast included would have bee nice
We had a great stay - wish it could have been longer. The location was perfect. Staff were most helpful. I hope to return to Quebec City again and would not hesitate to stay with you.
Would have been nice to have the restaurant open for lunch. I have celiac disease and did find it difficult eating out.
Front desk staff helpful
Room service staff hostile. Hotel needs a lot more upgrading. Room quite old fashioned and very basic. Too much emphasise on the restaurant - not of much interest to a solo traveller.
was not able to eat "le bistro" reason lack of reservation! ~drove 9 hours arrive 20:30 food service stops 22:00 told to come back in an hour with no promise of seating nota bene ~ 10 tables open at this time plus bar this use to be a real "bistro" ie from meals to pizza like a true American I walk accross the street to MacDonalds Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken though the Hotel has recently been "redone" this was je ne sais quoi
nearby outdoor ice rink and shopping clean and friendly nearby restaurants
entrance stairs with luggage pool not open until 10am
Lovely room, friendly staff, great location. Parked the car and walked the Old City and beyond the entire time. Will do it again!
the location & the staff were great. The hotel seems to be going under renovation and we had an old room . It was very clean & cosy but the bed was so unconfortable, my husband & i had did not sleep well. The best part, the restaurant downstairs is amazing we had brunch & diner , it was excellent!
Location, shops restaurants and value
Entrance steps not for handicapped!
Staff were excellent
Staff was friendly and they always had a smile and friendly tone. Willing to help for any questions that we may of had and great to recommend places to see and eat.
the room (508) was quite small, the bathroom had an odor of urine (not sure if it was the shower curtain). The room had a double bed which is quite small; we travel often and were quite surprised to hear that a hotel that is so renowned only had double size beds vs queen. We had friends who stayed in the newly renovated section that also had 2 doulbe beds vs queen. The price does not come cheep for the value of the rooms.
location, comfortable beds,
Stairs to the lobby, size of room, restaurant independent of hotel and wouldn't allow access to bar for a drink
Convenient and comfortable
Enjoyed the stay. No complaints.
The hotel was very centrally located so we could walk anywhere easily and quickly. The Hertz rental is next door so very convenient for side trips outside the city.
We liked being able to walk to Old Town and surrounding area.
I have mobility issues, and the stairs inside front entrance were a challenge I would have preferred not to encounter.
Mattresses were still very comfortable. Someone waiting at foot of stairs who immediately carried our luggage up to Reception. This was done for all guests. Price was right. EXCELLENT location. We stayed the nights of Oct. 3 & 4, 2014. Lobby is beautifully done!! Taxi there EXACTLY @ time it was pre-booked for early flight departure. Did not try restaurant, but they are very proud of the fact that it is listed as 1 of 10 best in Zoomer magazine.
Not soundproof. In spite of massive renovations, it is still an old hotel. Guests returning to their room at midnight not considerate of others who were trying to sleep.
The staff at the front desk were very friendly and informative for non speaking French individuals with directions and any assistance. Liked the area for shops and restaurants.
Difficult to find at night as not familiar with the area. Hillier than expected for being in the old city.
I loved the location--very close to many cool restaurants and shops. Also loved the staff, who upgraded us at no extra cost when they discovered we were there to celebrate our 20th anniversary.
While the glass door to the shower was very cool, it did not stay shut on its own. Not annoying enough to get someone into our room to fix it (I just jammed a washcloth behind the door when showering), but it was the one thing that I would have changed.
Location, staff, Boulay restaurant is excellent, don't miss it...
Parking is expensive, but the staff is very good.
Location was great to see old town Quebec. Staff were friendly and polite. Parking was easy with assistance from staff.
Our room was ok. The decor looked tired and needs redecorating. We stayed 4 nights and had only 1 nightstand, which was not what one would expect for a 4star hotel. I asked for another but was told they did not have any. A second armchair would have been useful also.
I really loved the staff who were super friendly and the overall class of the hotel. The beds were comfy although the duvet was a bit heavy for my liking it was still very soft. Wished there was better food selection. The restaurant was a but fancy and overpriced. Lots of places to walk to though.
The heavy duvet and the dark room. View of nothing was disappointing .
