It had a great Bay view out the window and location within Tofino was perfect.

The best was a way too soft and sagged in the middle.

Super thin wall, noisey, dirty, in need of maintiance. Little parking. Could go on and on.

This hotel was old but newly renovated and very clean four adults felt that was good value for the money I would stay there again. Book the one-day fishing trip with Alan Chase charters caught a lot of fish and a good time.

It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful

Although an older hotel the room was quite comfortable. Its location provided easy access to downtown Tofino. It was quiet.

If I were to find fault it would be in the area that the bathroom could use some upgrading. The light fixture over the vanity needs replacing and the vintage razor plug should be replaced with a gfi. A razor plug cannot operate a hair blower .

The location of the Maquinna was best about it, next to the price. Situated basically on the corner of Main and First Street, it's basically in the town "centre" of Tofino. In regards to getting food, there is a pizza take-out just across the street, the Sea Shanty Restaurant across the other street, and the famous SoBo is just around 400 metres and the Schooner Resaurant around 800 metres away. Close walking distance to the First Street Pier (with Tofino Air's office and sea plane departure point) and several companies' offices organising kayak tours or whale / bear watching tours. Besides a few negative points regarding the bathroom, it is a good place for one night in Tofino. If you're staying longer, I'd suggest some other more upscale location.

The hallways looked very minimalistic in design and structure. The bedroom was a good size and rather clean, but on the bathroom floor were several hairs of apparently several different customers (judging colour and length of the hairs). Besides that, there weren't any issues.

Value for money and location!

Room was fairly clean except for some unusual stains on the carpet. Decor was pretty old too but overall the hotel is pretty standard for what you pay.

Convenient location. Low budget.

The location of the hotel was ideal for someone who doesn't have a car. Thought the kitchen access are was a great idea for those who want to store their own food.

It was nice and quiet although the rooms were quite out dated (80's), there wasn't any extra blankets and the internet didn't work in the room which I found disapointing.

The bathroom had a foul smell. Recommend caulking of toilet base as the smell filters from there. Could use a good coat of fresh paint.
