the view is fantastic from great balconies to just sit and relax. nice harbor on water side
internet cuts in and out. no business set up (fax, printer, etc.)
Loved the room...the view from the balcony was gorgeous & the suit was the perfect size for our group of 5. The service was amazing - very polite & helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Nanaimo.
We had ate at the restaurant in the marina, and we were pretty disappointed. Our chicken was undercooked & cold - happened twice, until we gave up and ordered fries. They did take care of one of our bills and were apoplectic. Unfortunately it just wasn't a great experience for us.
This place is poorly converted apartments. Portable very nosiy airconditioners... Glass doors to a hotle room? Where is the fire safety certificate... Do not be fooled by pictures I was
Lovely condo/hotel in an excellent location on the marina in Nanaimo. Suite was spacious, very clean, marble floors, granite counter tops, stove, fridge and microwave. Bed was very comfortable and lots of storage in room and very large closet. Thick, beautiful housecoats and slippers were a nice touch. Perfect location, nice restaurant 150 feet from hotel right beside the marina, hotel offered 15% off food from this restaurant which also does take out. Great place to stay for 2 people.
The two floor air conditioning units were very loud and the rooms got very hot without them being on. The kitchen could use more utensils and dishes. There was only 1 place setting for four people, 2 drinking glasses and no wine glasses. Patio table and chairs would have been nice, as decks on either side of us had some. Silverware was also sparse. The pull out sofa has definitely seen better days and was not comfortable to sit on or to sleep on. Dining room chairs are also in need of replacing.
Front desk person was excellent (had several interactions with him during the course if our stay), fashionable unit, nice view
Air conditioning units had a hose that kept coming off the unit, blowing hot air into the room (one did so all night. Woke up in a sauna)
location near ferry
checked in at 6pm and had to wait until 8pm to get our room. The air conditioning was not working and blowing hot air. we had 29 degrees in our family suite. The room was not even cleaned up properly. Out of 12 hotels visited this summer in our trip to British Columbia, this one is by far the worst.
Cleanliness, comfort and service
Room is small
Overall good experience. I would reconmend this hotel to all my friends.
Information was not readily availlable. You have to ask for it. No one answers in housekeeping. But still, we enjoyed our stay.
Bed was comfortable
The room they tried to give was no view and not even a 10x10 evidently this is the room you get online, I paid for the room prior to looking and would not give me my money back 5 min after I paid, not impressed, they upgraded me for 50.00 The coffee machine did not work and the sofa was the most uncomfortable sofa I have ever sat on! Deck chairs were cheap fold up camping chairs, with a old small chair, not impressed would never stay there again!
No pool. No view. Too small a room. Cramped. Shared entry. Slow elevator
Very clean and modern. Staff very professional and helpful too.
Room lacked. Even a chair to sit on while putting socks or shoes on would have been nice.
Size of room and no key card, everything was using standard keys to get in and out. Felt a bit unsafe.
Location; price; Bed was comfy. Key return box.
Very small room; zero air circulation. Outdated and noisy A/C unit; noise from street. Would not stay here more than one night.
High-end furnishings; the room, towels & bedding smelled super-clean; nice bathroom; secure parking
The location was slightly out-of-the way, but it was a great walk (25 minutes) along the waterfront pathway to town on a sunny day (not so nice if the weather is bad); the room was unbelievably small without anywhere to sit except the bed; the view, while overlooking the water, also overlooked a boat repair facility that had people living on their boats in a parking lot right outside the window
Staff Bed comfort
-room too small for two people - couldn't have two people walking around at the same time - stayed at 19 hotels in Europe recently, this property is (a) smallest and (b) least functional - no desk - no chair - no suitcase rack - no fan - no blackout curtains - no water view - bathroom mirror light too weak - definitely not a "resort' - no amenities - no pool - no gym - took manager 1/2 hour to get TV working - TV black and white picture only. - lousy portable A/C unit too loud to sleep This property would need several improvements to get up to the level of 'adequate'.
The room was tiny , the air conditioning was so loud we were up all night and the TV didnt work ..
very helpful, night time employee stayed and waited for us to arrive late at night
Room was immaculate and all the fixtures were of great quality.
Room was a little small to fit a queen sized bed in. Aircon was loud and right next to the head of the bed. No desk or work surface. Would be handy for the business traveler.
We liked the location and that it was clean and modern. The front desk persona (Matt I think) was very pleasant.
We rented a studio but it was more like a small bedroom with ensuite. It was linked to a larger room which made it very noisy. The front door was glass which let in a lot of light and very little privacy. The room was Very hot. It had a separate air conditioning unit in the room but it was very loud and only a foot from my pillow therefore could not leave it on during the night. The only view was of the parking lot. We will most likely not be staying again.
Tiny room, the building is so hot that they have had to install portable air conditioners which hod nothing than sound like an aircraft engine when running. Terrible design, right up against the road where you have a lot a traffic catching early ferries. Worst sleep and I am in hotels every week. overall, just plain awful!
The room was so small my wife and I had to squeeze by each other to move around. There is not enough room so there is no chair no table. the bathroom was micro scopic. The air conditioner is a portable unit with the heat vent broken off so hot air blows into room. we put the conditioner on to cool the room down came back to find the room air conditioned to 93 degrees. Very stingy with in room coffee.
Quick and easy check-out
Surprisingly smaller than shown in the pictures; coffee make was broken; no view at all; no desk to do work from
Location, modern and clean, quiet
It is a new place and everything is very clean and modern. The beds are very comfortable and the bedding is of a high quality. We had a great night's sleep. It is very close to the BC ferries if you are travelling on to the Mainland.
