Location, price, comfortable - I disagree that the matrices are hard as some other reviewers pointed out. The parking lot arrangement - the parking lot is managed separately from the hotel. The person working there doesn't speak English and doesn't seem reliable. One of the nights there were no spots available (its a small lot for that size hotel) and we had to park outside in a near parking lot.

We have stayed in both the regular rooms and the rooms on the club floor. At the moment, the only real difference is the tv is a flat screen and you have a thin bathrobe. It can also be a little inconvenient being on the upper floors at times when trying to get an elevator - only two and they go to the garage which adds to its congestion and tardiness.

The hotel staff are always so nice. I travel to Montreal and always stay at the same place because of the staff and the comfort. It's a great place! The only thing I would add is a hot tub!

The room was a pretty decent size. the staff was by far the best part tho, so helpful and informative, and very nice. The bathroom was a little small for 3 people. And we only had 2 large towels for a room of 3 so we had to ask for more.

The location---good for shopping. the hotel was quiet and clean and bed was comfortable. We arrived early and were given an up-graded room as it was available and my husband was anxious to settle in to watch the hockey game`. I spent considerable time researching hotels in the downtown area of Montreal on the internet and found this hotel offered the most for the cost and we were not disappointed. Parking cost was very reasonable and located under hotel. We would stay there again The breakfast buffet was expensive and not good quality but there are lots of eating locations close by

Staff - friendliest and most helpful The elevators did not work efficiently ... if at all. Two days out of the three days I stayed at the Maritime Plaza, I found myself climbing up and down 11 flights of stairs.

The location was perfect. We could walk to most everything. There was on site parking available for $15/day. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. This hotel is not a lugxury hotel, could use some remodeling/updating. Breakfast was really expensive.

Location, staff were very friendly Internet slow, some items need to be replaced like mattress(very noisy), Iron( it's not working properly and table wasn't clean) ..... room need a renovation, there was no fridge, only an old coffee machine. (we're talking about a 4 Star Hotel)

We liked the relaxed atmosphere of the Maritime Plaza Hotel. the staff offered information to us about how to get to places and answered our questions about how to get around the city. They took the time to show us on a map. The hotel offered internet access which helped us view websites and also check email when we wanted to. Everything we wanted to experience in the city was close by as great shopping was within walking distance as well as Old Montreal. access to the Metro was only minutes away as well. Our room was a little smaller than we expected.

I have stayed at many different hotels, better and worse than Hotel Maritime. What turned me off was the damp and mold smell in the bathroom area of the room. The comfort, cleanliness, staff, all excellent. We were well taken care of. The pool was divine. We loved staying there and hope to again - except we'll inspect the room first before accepting it - to ensure that we don't have that dingy smell in our experience. It can really ruin the overall feeling! What turned me off (and my kids - who insisted on closing the door to keep the "yucky smell out") was the damp and mold smell in the bathroom area of the room.

Very attentive. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The young man at the info desk at the front door is a wonderful added feature in that he helped with directions and questions. The bed was super comfortable.
