Extremely friendly staff, excellent fitness centre, good restaurant, downtown location, and Spa services.

Can't think of anything that wasn't up to par.

City view from room was awesome (24th floor, facing north) Beds are very comfortable. Friendly, helpful staff. Convenient downtown location Elevator to parking garage. I will stay there again.

Friendly staff, felt welcomed by everybody. The concierge where fantastic. Very nice, good choice of restaurants. We where lucky we had the view of the city at night.

In the room, the bathroom was a little small but besides that. It was great.

I liked that it was as advertised in quality. Ie nothing was lower than expectation except the two things mentioned.

The mini bar chocolate bars were old and should be replaced on a schedule if not sold. While I ate them because I am a sugar fiend I was very disappointed. The Mars bar for instance was spotted with light brown and dark brown like it was returning to cocoa. It was hard. I would guess it was in fridge for months. I would always expect a free bottle of water.

Our room was nice but my wife became uncomfortable when she saw what she thought might be mold on the ceiling.

The staffs were not helpful at all. When we checked in, they lady did not even answer our questions about the surrounding areas. When we were trying to find the subway entrance at the lobby, the ladies at the concierge desk were reluctant to help us. We rather thought it was due to their bad services, although honestly it felt kind of racist.

The hotel itself is comparable to many, but it has an amazing view of parks and churches from upper rooms which cannot be beaten. Would definitely stay again.

The cleanliness could have been better for the standard of hotel.

I thoroughly enjoyed the location and its close proxmity to shopping and old Montreal. Also, I enjoyed the comfort of the bedding and layout of the room.

It would have been nice to receive a coupon with the room for breakfast at the hotel as it was pricey to eat there.

Excellent location and view from the room. Definitely one of the best room views I have experienced in terms of city skyline. Friendly staff and comfortable surroundings.

The hotel is a little dated. The room was small for the price. The toilet was tiny..

Close to the train station and within walking distance to many tourist attractions

Whilst the room was adequate size for a family of four, I wasnt impressed by our check-in. We were told by reception staff that they could only offer us a room with one bed (even though we had booked a room with two double beds). When we indicated that wasn't what we booked we were told that a cot could be added - we have two children between 5 & 8 so of course this was completely unacceptable. When we insisted that we booked a room with two beds & showed them our booking.com receipt we were told that these bookings are a preference and could not be guaranteed. This is news to me as I thought we had booked, paid for, and had confirmation for a particular type of room....After much hassle and waiting around we did get a room as requested.

I LIKED THE friendliness of the staff , front desk very accommodating and the location was ideal;

This hotel is fabulous, comfortable, friendly, relaxing, one of a kind for sure. The staff was extremely friendly, couldn't do enough for you. The rooms were clean, spacious, and updated in design. The location is in the middle of everything. Minutes away from shopping and Old Montreal. We would for sure go back......

The bar staff were very good friendly and skilled.

There was an error made in our booking and we were kept waiting over 30 mins until it was sorted. This took 3 staff but I had a booking reference and my paperwork. There were not enough towels in the bedroom. There was no kettle tea coffee or nibble in the room only a coffee percolator that is complex and produces poor coffee. We had been travelling for 9 hours and needed a small refreshment. The toilet did not flush so had not been checked. There were not enough towels in the room for a women and a man sharing. Apart from the central location I have stayed in many small hotels that provide all these things. The staff were impersonal apart from the bar staff. I was very disappointed and will b reviewing my membership.

The location is good being right on top of a metro stop and walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The pool and jacuzzi facilities were very good. Some of the front desk personnel I dealt with were very friendly and helpful. The concierge was very helpful. The concierge level continental breakfast and snacks were good. Onsite private parking was good.

At the front entrance there seemed to be only stairs making it difficult to carry the luggage into the hotel. One bellman outside that did not help. No bell service to assist with luggage to or from the room. I am a Marriott rewards member and provided my member information at check-in and was on a floor that provided additional benefits but was not explained or reviewed with me at check-in. At similar Marriott hotels the room charge included the morning buffet and was excellent but not at this hotel and the buffet at this hotel was average compared to others. We had significant problems with the key not working for our room or concierge services even after receiving new keys and eventually were locked out of our room requiring security and facilities to fix. A minor personal pillow was removed from the room when the sheets were changed and was not found. The parking was very expensive. The restaurant menus did not contain many appealing items and was not a typical Marriott menu.

All staff were welcoming and helpful. Excellent, strategic location with rail station, downtown and Old Montreal all within comfortable walking distance. The Marriott Chateau Champlain was a great starting point for our visit to one of Canada's most interesting destinations. We'll be back.

I Like the idea that everything you can do is a walking distance. The location , Underground city access, with all the staff is beyond comprehension. I LOVE MONTREAL.

I think it should come with continental breakfeast.
