the location was amazing right on Chestnut. its so close to downtown everything is in walking distance and transportation is the easiest. staff was very friendly and the room was very comfortable and super clean!
elevators, they ran kind of slow.
nice hotel, great staff
Staff very friendly concierge was a gent and did his upmost to help us out. Gave us an extra hour in room before checkout
great view from a corner room very clean and modern very quiet close to everything very friendly staff
The air conditioner blew right at me when it was on
perfect for a city trip
Everything...especially the comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom!
All the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel was very busy during our stay but the staff was able to work efficiently to get everyone settled. The hotel & the room were very clean. The room was quiet.
Everyone was helpful and very friendly. Front desk staff were very eager to assist us with all our needs.
Room was near the elevator which dinged frequently all night long.
Front desk staff were really friendly. We loved the cookies they served to all guests! Excellent location close to main street. Very clean and comfortable.
Hotel car park was pricy. But I used public car park right next to hotel which was more reasonable and very close to hotel entrance.
The people and the food
I booked this room at the spur of the moment while in Toronto. I got a great price and upon arrival 20 mins after booking, was greeted by the most professional, courteous and very friendly host at the reservation desk. He treated us very well and the warm cookies were a nice bonus. The room must have just been renovated as it was beautiful and modern and I've never slept on a more comfortable mattress. I will definitely stay at the doubletree when in Toronto again!
I don't have anything negative to say about the doubletree. It was a great experience!
For 279 per night this hotel was a disappointment. It was extremely worn out, and in need of an upgrade. Would not stay there again, as other less expensive hotels provide more upscale accommodation.
Staff is very dismissive. Response limited to no and does not give further assistance to issues experienced by guests.
The dismissive and unhelpful attitude of desk staff. Help/housekeeping staff are exemplary. Desk staff needs to learn a thing or two from housekeeping.
The bed was amazing Free wifi Clean Quiet
Bed bath and no noise at night
Might need a bit of an update to the furniture soon
It is situated near to a subway and the bus/coach station. You are not far from many interesting sites. The food is good, I can recommend the beef sandwich and soup served at lunchtimes.
Convenient location. Clean. Friendly. Comfortable.
Staff was really nice and accomodating. Whole place was clean and quiet Located in a very good area if you like to walk around and enjoy the city - and it's food.
The Wi-Fi could have been a bit better More towels would have been nicer.
not too far from Eaton Center and entertainment district
old fashion hotel with very small rooms despite Hilton Honors upgrade an hotel used to be known under another name (metropolitan)
Room was small but well appointed and seemingly designed for a couple or single businessman. Parking pushed the final cost over our nighty limit. The excuse/rational/spin that this is Toronto is a weak one for those not on a business account.
Parking limited and expensive.
Fairly good location
Room is small
The staff was very friendly and dinned with you and it was very good as well, no complaints. Wished the price was a little less.
Oops, one complaint, no cookie. Ran out, went in the morning to enjoy coffee with cookie, none again.
1- cleanliness (carpet very old and also the beds 2-room very small 3- restaurant is not have variety
The staff was exceptional. They provided us with everything we needed for the weekend. They also had a luggage closet, so when we checked out in the morning, they kept our luggage while we explored the city (free of charge).
There was construction going on outside which made it nearly impossible to sleep in. Also, the pool is pretty cold.
