The location was excellent. The pool was open super early which made it nice for my daughter and I who are early risers. And, I appreciated the complementary coffee and papers by the pool. I liked the option to self-park and while our room was by the elevators it was tucked away enough to not hear footsteps and perpetual dinging. The bed was hard. And the view of the Four Season's indoor/outdoor pool made us envious. The windows over the pool were filthy and appeared as though they hadn't been washed in decades.

The staff were very friendly and caring; prepared to go the extra mile in order to be of assistance. The hotel has an excellent position being within walking distance of top quality shops and restaurants. Even after we had checked out we were given a key to facilities to enable us to make use of them up to the time of our departure. An excellent hotel. Would have liked milk to be made available in our room and more teabags than just one per person per day. Breakfast was not included and it would have been better to have been given this option. However, there were many breakfast outlets within the vicinity of the hotel that this cannot be viewed as a huge negative.

Metropolitan is an excellent hotel for business trips, with good facilities. The location downtown Vancouver is not my favorite location for holiday or city trips. Like many hotels the desk chair in the room is not really comfortable to do computer work.

Reception was very pleasant, polite and generous at offering help. The doormen were always welcoming without being annoying. Valet parking was just as nice. The room was very nice and very clean. Just a recommendation: Let people know that your bedding is all feathers. Some of us are allergic but too dozy to call the desk about it early enough to actually do it. I'm sure that if I had called them, the staff would have brought me other bedding.

Had a nice visit. Our dining experience in the Diva Restaurant was very good. Hat off to the chef and serving staff. The breakfast was a little disappointing especially the $19.00 price. That is too high. Otherwise, it was a nice stay. George Scott

Quiet, nice room and very comfortable bed. We found the front desk staff to be curt and almost rude, When we checked out, the desk clerk did not even look at us and she did not thank us for staying. The hotel charges over $40 a day to park in the hotel parkade. This is more than parking costs in SanFrancisco. When asked if we could get it for a discount or free the desk clerk replied in a derogitory manner "no that is because you booked through booking.com"

The concierge staff, front desk and bellboys were always surprising us about the superb, knowledgeable and friendly service. The price was fare for the quality and location of the hotel. We highly recommend it.

Location was great. The staff was the only thing that made the stay feel 5 star. The concierge lady was wonderful. Gave us great directions to where we wanted to go. Did not feel the hotel lived up to the hype I perceived from the website. Most everything was overpriced and the food was terrible.

Just a great hotel, w/ a very attentive , kind helpfull staff You may want to reconsider the mini bar prices, $ 24.00 for a half bottle of wine???? You would no doubt sell more if your mini bar prices were more reasonably priced.
