Excellent location. Quiet. Clean. Hope to return and would choose the Moffat again.
The location was great. The Pub was a neat little gathering spot with awesome food,
The Tiara Restaurant was a most disappointing experience. We were celebrating our anniversary and this was a spoiler to our evening. The food was terrible and the service was lacking.
Friendly staff, clean, middle of town, good rates. Ft, George was fantastic.
Floor didn't have any horizontal places and stairs were pretty steep for old folks. Very nice place, other than being old and creaky, like me.
great location for walking to theaters and close proximity to several nice restaurants older hotel in great condition; free coffee in the morning
nothing to not like!
Quaint room w/personal patio Very clean Perfect location - easy walking distance to everything in town Parking on site and included in rate
On site restaurant had no breakfast available
Basement room Whole building smelled like chlorine
Very friendly and helpful staff. Parking facilities no charge. Walking distance to centre of town.
The pad over the mattress was not positioned properly and was most uncomfortable through the night.
The location is great for walking around town and there was sufficient parking.
We reserved a room well ahead of our visit to Nagara-on-the -Lake. Upon arrival at the Moffat Inn our first impression was not the best since we had to walk around bags of what I would guess were dirty laundry in the hallway and then to a hot, smelly lobby. But, the worst part was when they informed us the room we had reserved through booking.com was not available and they had "up graded" us to a room in the basement. While the room was very nice it was in the basement and had no windows! I am sure the hotel has some nice rooms with windows but we didn't get to experience any of them since we were stuck in the depressing basement! Based on this experience we can not recommend the Moffat Inn.
Loved the side patio and courtyard right off our room
A bar fridge would have been nice
The location, on Picton Street, is perfect. Guests at The Moffat are just a few steps away from the interesting shops on that street, and just a short walk from The Shaw Theatre Festival. The staff is also kind and friendly.
In terms of "not liking," there isn't much to complain about. If I have to quibble, I'd wish that the Moffat could offer guests a Continental Breakfast, or that some of the older TV sets in some rooms could be replaced with the newer flat screen models.
Right in the town walking distance to everything. it has a nice pub in the basement and a nice private parking lot
Ratio price/services given not the best. structure need an up date
Perfect location for proximity to Festival Theater and everything else in old town. Room was comfortable and clean. Excellent bed, very comfortable mattress. As much as I enjoy Niagara on the Lake, it's become too pricey, especially with a near par exchange on the dollar. The Moffat is a good value in this over-priced town.
We could not get into our room until 20 minutes past the 3 PM check in. We got a "thank you for your patience" but a voucher for a couple of glasses of wine in the pub downstairs would have been more meaningful. WiFi signal was iffy...
Excellent location in walking distance to everything! Friendly staff. Quiet well appointed rooms and wonderfully firm beds.
Many rooms on second level without elevator to access. Ask for main floor rooms if difficulty climbing stairs.
Quiet location and an excellent pub
The location was excellent. The front desk staff were pleasant. The bed was very comfortable. Cute (small) bathroom with new facilities. The room was very quiet, no traffic sounds.
Bathroom was very small -- no room for my makeup bag or my husband's shaving bag.
The bathroom was very clean and updated! Quiet hotel and comfortable bed and room.
We did book a queen room but was informed they didn't have any, how can that be when I reserved it?! Had to settle for double beds, not what I expected.
Central location to theatre district, short walk to major venues. European atmosphere, style, friendliness of staff (Natalie). Parking privileges. Lovely decor, cleanliness
Wrong room booked. Peeling wallpaper. Very old tube type TV
Cramped, musty smelling room, small bed, etc.
Comfortable beds Location Access to own private patio Professional Staff
Room was near ice machine and outside door, noisy at times. On the pricier side
location , convience, quaintness, parking
dirty carpeting in lobby and stairs to pub. remembered the pub having better food and atmosphere in past years. no breakfast rolls or coffee in room.
Location Value for money Cleanliness
No coffee in rooms No elevator
Quaint room, comfy bed, nice bath
No ice near room, neighbors were rude
Location was the best.
Staff distracted. Parking difficult and not explained. Walls of room were paper thin. We could hear all our neighbours' activities. Despite high cost, no rooms available with two queen beds. One queen only, so cot was added after special request. This made the small room even more crowded. No mirrors other than in bathroom. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Otherwise, disappointing and overpriced.
The Location to all the shops and town was great and we liked walking around town and to the lake.
The room did not have a dresser or room to unpack anything. Somewhat cramped....Although the room was not bad, the fee for the room and lack of amenities that came with it was far too much for what was there. Next time We would most likely stay in Niagara Falls and drive to Niagara on the Lake. Not the best Value for your money at all.
