Wonderful host behind the desk! Very quiet location st night. The bed was luxuriously comfortable. Excellent restaurant nearby.
the room was very clean; bed was very comfortable. Great location, close to everything. The owner of the Lodge was extremely friendly and seemed happy to see us.
the wifi was very slow and the TV was small and was quite old
No issues at all, very happy.
Welcoming hosts are a wonderful introduction to any holiday destination, so we set off to explore Revelstoke. We discovered many eateries and interesting historic plaques, lovely gardens in town. The BC visitor centre on the highway is excellent.
Unfortunately, Wifi reception is poor but the owners are aware of this and planning to improve this.
Very friendly and helpful owners.
Good staff, owner was friendly and approachable. In a good area. Relatively clean
Had to get the sheets and pillow cases changed when we came in, (hair on the pillow eww). Musty smelling room
Warm welcome with a sense of humour. Very helpful re local activities and places to go. Handled booking confusion well.
Air conditioning Friendly Staff Clean room
I don't know if there are a few rooms that are re-done and that's where the good reviews are coming from, but our room was a disaster, between the ants coming in somewhere in the bathroom, the pubic hair left in the tub and bathroom from the person before us, and the mould in the drawer which made the room smell, it was far from the best experience I`ve ever had staying at a place. We got there late on Monday around 730pm, threw our suitcases in the room and went for dinner after a long hot drive from our stay in Crawford Bay, so we didn't get back to the room until almost 11 that night. After finding a couple of ants and the drawers with debris in them still, and a mound of dust and hair between the one cabinet and the wall, and dirt around the edges of the carpet I had to wonder how clean the place was, which was frustrating as the pictures and reviews were what I based my stay on here, and originally we were only needing to stay one night but had to stay two due to a mix up in other plans on our trip. Didn`t have a great sleep as wondering what else was crawling around after seeing a few ants. The next day we went out to the aquatic center (a great recommendation from the owner on check in) as we were hot, sweaty, tired and needed some place to shower as I was not showering in the tub at the lodge. We stayed out as late as we could just to avoid coming back to the room, got back and in looking around again found mould in the drawer under where the fridge was sitting, and yet more ants crawling around. I would not even use the coffee pot in the room for concerns even the cups weren`t clean. We packed up and had another horrible night sleep and got on the road for 730. We stopped first and washed all of our clothes as I felt so dirty leaving this place.
Room is nice and fair size and clean.
AC is noisy (old window style); Bathroom is small and outdated. Wifi is touch and go. We can hear the people walking in the room on top of ours so there is no noise control.
couldn't hook up to wi fi
Good value and clean for an overnight stay.
Was not able to connect with wifi
No Wi-Fi. We pay 135 + tx too expensive for a very very standard room, not clean.
Loved it,heat and all
Space and weak WIFI
Value and host
It's a good, comfortable motel. located close enough to downtown but far enough from the main highways. Good quality A/C.
The price was around 30% higher than what I would estimate as a good value for such a motel.
Super friendly owners. Bed was comfortable. Quiet. Loved that they didn't charge extra for my doggie.
The location was fine as it was close to highway 1 and also downtown (perhaps more a function of the size of the town than anything) and that it was pet friendly. The front desk staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The room and bedding were clean.
It was very noisy - we could hear every step from the people walking in the room above us. We could also hear people and cars from outside and plumbing from other rooms. The wifi signal was so weak it was useless. The soap and shampoo were terrible and there was no conditioner or hair dryer, and the towels were thin. The tv was very old and didn't have a good picture (not a flat screen). The place is showing its age and needs to be updated.
The lodge was clean but the room smelled a bit of old cigarette smoke. Internet was not great outside of the lodge office but for a clean place to stay for the night while on the road it worked for us.
It was a bit pricey for what we got but was prices similarly to other hotels in the area.
Had a comfy bed. Place was clean and lots of storage. The owners were great at making us comfortable. Anything we needed they got it for us right away. We booked online which we found out wasn't the best way as the booking agent mixed things up.We booked the family room but thanks to the owners we were upgraded to a better room. We brought our 9 month old pup with us which the owners didn't mind at all. They came out to meet him as though he was a person..lol We really enjoyed our stay. Great advice on a place to eat at. For us we couldn't of asked for a better location. Close to everything we needed to get to in walking distance. We will be back.
Would of been nice if the hot tub was working. Needed to ask for a microwave as the room we seen online had one in it. The owners were really great at getting one for us from another room. We do love our popcorn in the evening..lol
Easy to find and not far from the main highway The owner was hugely helpful in terms of places to eat as well as various trails we should do on our journey.
Wifi is a bit poor if you are in the room furthest from reception (as we were). You had to stand outside to get signal.
Hot tub was closed for the season but this wasn't made known on the booking ahead of time. Wifi didn't work on the second level. TV is small and outdated. Smoking was allowed right outside of the rooms, by the only window in the room, which meant that the smoke from all the people around you came directly into your room. The room needs some fixing up as there was chipped paint and incomplete patches around the shower.
We stayed here on our way to Whistler from Calgary. Nice little Motel. Good place to stay while travelling to the coast. Very clean. Beds are very comfortable.
The owners were very friendly and made some great recommendations for the rest of our trip. I will definitely stay again when in the Revelstoke area.
WiFi signal wasn't available in my room, but it didn't matter.
