Newly renovated room was beautiful. View of river. Excellent value for money.

Only one staff running the breakfast and couldn 't keep up. We went to Tim Hortons next door.

I liked the price, the continental breakfast and the staff was warm and friendly.

The pillows were very uncomfortable

interesting and quaint corner of countryside in the city. great atmosphere of welcome and dated but well equipped rooms.

We preferred the room that we had at the River front on March 27th. We appreciated the breakfast on April 10th.

On April 9th, we didn't like this room as the bed and pillows were not as comfortable and we could hear the people above us walking around...this is very annoying and not conducive to sleep.

Continental breakfast lacked fruit - it was all grains and breads

The outdoor pool should be heated. I booked this hotel in order to swim but the water was too cold! Also, the room was sub standard and could have been cleaner. We couldn't open the window as the screen was missing so it would have been wide open with no barrier. This meant we had to use the AC, even when the air outside was cooler. Also you could offer a wider selection at breakfast and we had to wait often for staff to replenish food items.

It has gone downhill in the last 2 years. I would not stay there again.

The breakfast was a joke. Not what you advertise. The pool was dirty and cold. It was supposed to be heated. The staff was rude when asked for something and acted like they didn't care about our requests.

Very convenience to stay here for other day meeting in Costco, beside, the entirely scene surrounding with river is nice too.

Facility in the room is not enough, at least microwave is necessary to benefit most guest when they arrive in late condition.

Our room had a balcony overlooking the Rideau Canal which was a nice surprise; nice setting; nice pool area although we did not have time to use it

The continental breakfast was skimpy on our second day, was supposed to be on from 7 - 10 am; we didn't get there until 9:30 the second day and it was mostly all gone and we waited for them to bring out more yogurt and fruit, and glasses for the orange juice but they never did.

This isn't a hotel - it's a motel, with dated furnishings, weak air conditioning. We paid $120 plus tax a night to stay there - it's worth half of that, at best.

Location was perfect for our needs. The view of the river was excellent. It was quiet (except for the planes) and we enjoyed the outdoor patio.

The staff was friendly. Arrived late and left early. It was just a place to sleep for the night so didn't explore the grounds.

I was raised in Ottawa left 30 years ago driving by this hotel I wondered who would stay at a place like that we had no money. My stay was very good, Yes your property it is outdated in some areas but do not get rid of your field stone areas they are gorgeous. I just had our fireplace done a very small area cost $2000.00 All you need to do is paint, trim, replace old heaters in room washrooms, it was not nice, worked but looked awful. Oh yes I had a smoking room, but open the door on the balcony for fresh air I smoked on the balcony. The room's smell was awful. You need to upgrade the entrance area the tree growth has been there forever. Perhaps junipers small growth may work there. Anyways if I owned that property I have so many ideas it blows me away that this property is there and not developed for homes. I think and I hope that you have bought yourself a gold mine. Its location is unbelievable. I wish you all the best. If I was having a family gathering in Ottawa it would be my choice. All the best Gaye Thompson

I didn't like anything about the resort.

The rooms were discusting very dirty. Could not use the shower it was so dirty, Filled the coffee with clean water and looked inside and found black and brown items floating on top of the water. The beds were very not very comfortable as well as the pillows. The wall phone was hanging of the wall and the floor was filthy. Over all this place is not a very clean and tidy place to stay.

We hadden een ruime kamer met goed uitzicht op de rivier, werden vriendelkijk geholpen bij de receptie en het was een prima uitvalbasis voor de stad Ottawa.

Le restaurant est super beau. Lorsque l'on compare le restaurant au chambre il y a une grande différence...

La chambre était correct mais aurait besoin de rafraichissement. Fenêtre et porte devraient être rénové. Le contraste entre les chambres et le restaurant est frappant. Le propriétaire aurait avantage à améliorer les chambres afin qu'ils soient plus au niveau de propreté du restaurant.

Nice outdoor space along the water

For the price that was payed (a suite), for a room outside the city (not situated downtown), the room should have been clean (spider webs +++ all over the glass patio door) and the furniture maintained (old sofa extensively damaged). The sheets were thin and barely covered the bed mattress. The breakfast was included in the price of the room, but did not consist of much. It was disappointing. Clearly, our one-night stay was overpriced.
