Novotel Montreal Center  

No refrigerator provided for items we wanted to keep refrigerated. The refrigeration unit in the room was stacked with items for which we would be charged (and at a very high rate) should anything be slightly displaced in that refrigerator. In past stays at this hotel (not this stay because we are now wiser) we have been mislead by the staff (or have been seemingly deliberately not informed during checking in) that many services would be extra, namely, parking and breakfast, and especially internet access. Such services are usually included in the US with the room price (internet access is always included, for example). The existence of this charge (a very high daily rate of $10) had to be forced out of the staff, both in previous stays as well as with this stay. This leaves a bad impression, because the staff know that many visitors do not know this and yet are content to not inform the clients sufficiently, per the hotel's policy, we're sure.

The location is near saint catherine and crescent street.

There is no free wi fi in the room & their is no business center, even the wi fi in the lobby is not that good.

The hotel lobby was under construction (looked awful). Was not aware that hotel was under renovations

Quiet room, good restaurant and helpful staff

Up to usual Novotel standard. Helpful multi-lingual staff. Right by Ste Catherine's Street for shopping. Brutopia and Hurley's bars in Crescent Street behind (go through the car park to the right of the hotel) are great pubs.

Buffet breakfast's not really worth $16.50 + tax + service (I.E. over $20). Better to go to one of the delis on Ste Catherine's Street (Reuben's or Nickel's, for example) nearby.

The location is great, next to Saint Catherine (lots of shops) and Crescent (lots of pubs & restaurants) and right next to a big night club. The fitness room is cool. Big and cozy rooms, very clean also. Front desk is friendly and helpful. It is not a place where you can go for honey moon but is a perfect place for expend a few days visiting Montreal.

Parking is expensive (20$ per day) Internet access not included.

This hotel is @ very convenience location.

I have a young baby he is@ crawlng stage. I found the floor and carpet wasn't clean at all.

I didn't like that my prepaid room was unavailable when I checked in late after a long flight.

Centrally located

The lack of security and the limited space in the parking garage.

Friendly and responsive staff, beautifully designed rooms, great amenities.

No trashcan liners. Dirty towels left in room from previous guests.

The proximity to the Bell Center as we were in-town for a performance that was taking place there. Also, the hotel's restaurant was really good.

The lobby is a little out-dated - the front desks are kind of weird.

Pleasant staff, nice large room, convenient location (not far from station, close to city centre).

Cracked bathroom sink, room showing a few signs of fraying (wood peeling, etc.). Charging for internet in this day and age is not acceptable.

The staff makes you love every thing there big thanks to them

Every thing was perfect except the bath lighting is reallllllllyannoying 5 sources of lights and lamps are toooooo much when I woke up I barely open my eyes ouuuuuuch also the carpet needs more cleaning thank u
