For me the most important on booking Hostel is Location and Cleanliness; and this place has this and more, I go for a holiday to Montreal almost every year and l stay here when is available, love it.
Nothing bad to say.
- Ok breakfast - Close to the metro
- Heater quite loud - Small room (we had a private room for 2)
The fact that I had to leave.
Overall this was a very very good adress. Nice staff, Great breakfast, neat And great location!
If you are a "light" sleeper, take earplugs. The buzzing from The fridge, or something i couldn't identify, really kept me out of my sleep.
I've been hostels lots of time. Same as unusual!!totally different with others. Central hostel is really fancy and cleaned hostel. Thanks
The house keeping time is so late....
Facilities were good
I really Like this Place For me, the best part is that you can find people from all around the world in this Hostel and socialize with them. The staff is really nice. and I like a lot the concept of free coffe all day long.
I had a lot of problems for find the Parking Lot. Please Include a map for the Parking Lot
Location and staff
Breakfast was a joke. At night the disturbance from other hotel clients was just unbearable, going from yelling, screaming, banging on doors with no intervention from hotel staff. Would not recommend the place. There are other places around the area with much better feel.
My first time to stay in a hostel. It was a great experience. I think for the future I will always stay in Montreal center. The hostel was super clean, friendly staff and convenient location
Its amazing hostel with wounderful location, is clear and organize place. When I will return to Montreal I will stay in the same hostel.
dropped off. Y the 747 airport coach 2 mins walk from hotel. It is almost neg door to Orleans express coach stationed needed to travel from the day after
This is my first time using a hostel and I heard stories from people with bad experience in other hostels. However, Montreal Central definitely surprised me with the cleanliness and super friendly staff. As it was my first time in Montreal and never studied French, I had tons of questions. The staff at the reception pulled out a map and went through every single thing - where to eat, shop and subway routes and fare system and all that. Bed was clean, fresh towel every morning, it had clean washroom with hot shower. Free breakfast and coffee was definitely better than my expectation, I enjoyed it.
This is a hostel. Expect to be interrupted time to time at night when your new bunk mates join the your room. This is however normal for any hostel.
Location optimal for city trips. Hotel best suited for (and filled by) people going out.
Bed bugs. We stayed 3 nights and dismissed the bites as mosquito bites initially, but the creepy crawlers woke us up during the last night, after which we fled the estate immediately (the reception did not take us seriously). After complaining via email (we've documented everything) the management apologized, refunded us part of the last night, and promised a cleaning company has exterminated the buggers and checked the other rooms for infestation. In summary the managements response was OK, but could have been better. Overpriced for what you get, but Montreal in general is expensive.
We were running late on the way and called to say so, the woman at the front desk was very nice and spoke very good English. She told us that there would be someone at the desk all night and not to worry. She was very friendly and helpful when we got there and throughout our whole stay. The location was great, central to everything we wanted and the breakfast was very good, fresh croissants with all the fixin's. Would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone, with its funky decorations, friendly faces and great value.
The only thing we weren't as excited about it that I booked the reservation on booking.com and the room we were expecting said it had a Jacuzzi tub, which it did not. The room decorations could use a bit of updating and had to ask for earplugs (which they had at the front desk) because our room was right next to the hallway door which was very loud.
One small block from the main subway station, so simple to go anywhere from here. Bed was extremely comfortable. We stayed in the superior deluxe room. Spatub was nice, shower was nice. Lots of mirrors and lights in the room. Windows opened. Clean. Staff was very casual yet professional at the same time. Very welcoming. No red tape nonsense.
The jets on the tub were too loud to use. It seems this place didnt mind noise though.
Very clean. Staff more than accommodating. Great value.
Bunks were uncomfortable. A/C loud and seemed to be less effective by morning.
- Great location - Clean facilities - Great staff
- Outside alcohol only in the rooms is a bit different. Causes people to drink at 9am in the rooms while others are sleeping.
Good location, close to the metro and downtown. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Nice to have an extra shower for when the shower in the room was in use. Good computers in the common room.
The staff was super friendly, the rooms were comfortable with AC. We had a jacuzzi suit. I thought it was going to be tiny based on the photos they have posted but the room was actually very spacious. The cleaners did a great job everyday. The location was so walkable, we rarely needed to use our transit passes.
I guess the only thing that would have been nice was if there was food served on site. But they let you use the kitchen as you please and there are so many nearby, delicious restaurants. It was hardly an issue.
- great hospitality staff was very friendly and helpful - super location and good quality beer at a great price -excellent breakfasts! The croissants were sooo fresh! - air conditioning working well. quite responsive to changes with the settings
- the cosy bed for two, even though it was very cosy, could have been at least a queen size. It's not that I didn't like it, bigger IS better though.
really small room
The breakfast is very good. The staff are enthusiastic. The hall is fine and impressive.
I've seen one fly in my room. There is one threshold in the lobby which has hurt my friend, and the threshold also makes the luggage difficult to pull.
The staff were very friendly and helpful with anything I asked from helping with my key to telling where bars, shops and places of interest were. All staff were polite and happy which makes a big difference
Nothing rooms were clean bathroom good and food available as well as alcohol if you wanted
Excellent location. Staff greeted us personally and showed us around, asking is we had any questions. Very friendly, very accommodating. Their English was perfect, too! No complaints.
