Beautiful setting and very friendly staff. The hotel was a great blend of modern luxury with the outdoors/nature. Loved the room and the view. Options for food were limited compared to other hotels in the area but the food was still very good.

The design of the cabin and its fixtures and fittings in the bedroom/ living area were very natural, fitting in well with the lovely surroundings of the lake. I think the bathroom was a little small for the quality and price of the accomodation.

Loved the cabin and the view. The breakfast was only okay. The lodge is 14km of a windy road from Lake Louise where all the restaurants etc are located.

The location was breathtaking, the log cabin provided luxury in the countryside. The staff were all friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Went on a guided walk with Kevin and he was so knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. The food was cooked and presented perfectly. A wonderful experience whilst in the Canadian Rockies.

Walking into our lodge room, we were blown away by the view. The room and lodge were gorgeous. We loved the additional activites that were free to guests - the guided walks, kayaking on Moraine Lake and the Grizzly Bear talk.

This was the crown jewel of our Canadian Rockies vacation experience. The Lodge was a perfect way to end our experience in Alberta. The combination of a magnificent location combined with the charm of the Lodge is unbeatable. Staff are very courteous and knowledgable. The hiking trails offer significant variety and the views from each of them are simply breathtaking.

The hotel is absolutely wonderful. Amazing scenery, on the lakeshore and surrounded by mountains and trees. The staff was extremely helpful, polite and offered information about the hotel, the room and what to do. Restaurant is not cheap but the price is well worth against the food quality and settings (fireplace, lake and mountain view, food quality etc). Extremely suggested for thos who wants to spend a night into the nature.

The situation, right on Lake Moraine. The graceful use of the canoes . The snowfall on the second day of our arrival, which made the landscape around and the mountain tops look enchanting. The well-equiped and nicely decorated chalets, with a real logfire, a tiny balcony with a table and two armchairs. The kind, helpful and efficient welcome from the gentleman at the frontdesk, upon our arrival too late for dinner, just round 9 pm. He immediately ran to the kitchen to have some nice sandwiches prepared for us, which were courteously brought to our chalet (unfortunately, the empty plates and leftovers stayed there the day after, even after the room had been serviced) .Also very quick and efficient check-out. 1.Except for probably one or two chalets, the "lake view" is actually hidden by the furtrees. Well, you can see a bit of water between the branches, but although the chalet we were in (nr 13) was facing the lake, it had a very limited lake view and much more of a pine tree view. 2. Breakfast is ok, while a bit standard. Hot breakfast is every morning scrambled eggs and bacon. Scarce choice of industrial jam 3.permanent flow of tourists , individuals or crowds, coming to admire the Moraine Lake.

Location was beautiful, right on the Lake in a breathtaking part of the Canadian Rockies - near Lake Louise and many other wonderful sights. At Lake Moraine, you can take a pleasant canoe ride on the lake (included if you stay at the lake), they offer guided hikes for those who like more activity, or leisurely hikes closer to the Lake. We had a lovely cabin overlooking the Lake - comfortable and nice. Very service oriented staff. Good food (although a little on the expensive side but comparable to other nice restaurants in the Rockies).

The scenery---canoeing on the lake and walking. We were upgraded to a King cabin. Very nice, comfortable, with view. Waiter in restaurant was not as attentive as should have been---perhaps the place was understaffed? For the price, should have been better. The breakfast (included in price) was just OK--not luxury or gourmet.

The checkout. For the price I paid I think One can expect,Television radio, and a Telephone for emergency use ,none of the above were in the room, and on top of it at night some one must be in the reception in case some one needs help I wonder how you sell this hotel without checking it's grade which I found they were not graded, I am going to file a complain against all concern.

“Rustic charm, lovely decor; great beds/linens, friendly staff; excellent food and service in the D.R.; morning coffee available; they gave us an up-grade as it was our 47th anniversary--plus--a little gift of preserves from the hotel and complimentary desserts in the D.R. Always a pleasure to stay. ” Jeanine, Calgary |
