It was extremely quiet and the beds were great. I also was thrilled to get an extra discount because I was there for hockey! A closet or some pegs to hang a few things up would be nice.

Desk staff - The girl that was there when I booked my room was excellent. Very friendly but professional too. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have even bothered answering these questions Too far away from amenities.

Had a big window. When I got there the lady at the front desk was ring extremely rude to the person on the other end. The rooms were tiny. They wash all the linens together, my non smoking room had a comforter with 5 burn holes in it. The bed was terribly uncomfortable and the pillows were flat a d uncomfortable also. I ended up leaving after 5 hours. Rooms are not sound proof I could hear people on either sides of me.

Rooms were very clean and bright...affordable rates. I really liked staying here, however, it would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room. I know there is complimentary coffee in the lobby but I like to have my first cup while I am still in my PJ's, so it would be great if I could just make a pot for myself in the room.

They did not have my booking when I arrived. Lucky there was a room available. Don't like toilets without a lid. When one flushes, spray inevitably is released into the air and the spread of decease is real. A lid prevents this.

We were comfortable and able to have our pet with us. While there were no fitness facilities we were able to run outside around the industrial area. Fresh coffee would have been great and not the machine kind.

It was clean. We booked through booking.com, as promoted by the motel (bad idea!) The map on the booking site was was completely wrong and put the motel downtown, several blocks from the hospital, when in fact the motel is located miles from downtown at the eastern edge of Grande Prairie. It took us 3/4 hr to find it; we phoned the motel contact number that was given and reached a U.S.operator; they didn't know the location either and eventually patched us through to Alberta (beware: there is also a Grande Prairie, Texas). There was 1 bar of soap in the room; no shampoo, etc (the morning desk clerk told us the evening staff should have asked us, upon check in, if we wanted these basic supplies); there was no coffee or tea service in the room. We have received these basic amenities when staying at hotels 2/3 this price. Although the hotel is located miles from any restaurant a basic continental breakfast wasn't offered either, which would have been convenient as we were travelling with a young child. There was nothing "convenient" about this stay.

I didn't like the area It was nothing like I booked on line and seeing I only had foot transportation it was a very far walk to anything close my experience from the time I arrived to motel, was not good elevator got stuck with my luggage and laptop so for over an hour I had no clean clothes or access to my things and while I complained it didn't seem like a urgent matter and was told they are doin what they can.i when I went closer to town I realized I could of had the same room double beds and few extras for same price and everything was within walkin distance I travelled by bus for 17 hours to find out motel was far away and luggage got stuck wasn't a good first nite for sure

I stayed in the Motel 6 for one night on the way from Dawson Creek to Calgary for having a flight at Grande Prairie Airport on Friday. The motel was very clean and the rooms good equipped ( micro wave, fridge, flat screen TV, free internet and so on ). In the past i stayed in other motels for more money and but less comfort and not so clean. In my room it was to hear an annoying sound with a deep frequence at the night time. Maybe the origin was the airconditioner of a neighbors room or a fan in its bathroom. At the day time it was not a problem because the normal daily noise was overlaying the sound. But at the nighttime it was diffcult to sleep.

Rooms were clean. Location was good and easy to find. The crying baby in the room next to me that cried all night both nights I stayed there. I travel with my dog all the time and if my dog made that much noise I'd be asked to leave! There was no wifi (free or otherwise) at this hotel as stated on Booking.com As stated above, I travel with my dog and once again was stuck on the top floor of the hotel. Would it be so hard to be a little accommodating to those traveling with a lot of gear? Would ground floor really be all that difficult?

There was no hair dryer and no coffee maker and no wireless internet and even with the cable the internet didn't work. I have never been in a motel that didn't have a hair dryer or even shampoo in the shower, so I didn't bring my hair dryer, so that wasn't pleasant. I originally thought the price was ok for what we were getting, but we stayed at a western budget after this one and only paid $10 dollars more and it had all the things motel 6 didn't offer, not to mention the rooms are much larger. We will not stay at a motel 6 again, there are other motels that offer more for around the same price.

We have in the past stayed at this motel for various reasons, the past 2 times being for medical reasons. Our latest stay was not very pleasant. The front desk staff informed us, after we were given a medical rate the last time we stayed at the hotel, that we would need a note from our family physician. As we had only got a call from the specialist that was not possible and wondered why the policy would change from one stay to the next. Needless to say, after presenting our family physician's card with the specialist's name on the back, to have that told to us was very frustrating. When we got to our room, we were disappointed to find that the toilet was not functioning properly & the room smelled very strongly of mildew and musty. Yes, we did not contact the front desk but after the performance over the medical rate, the lateness of the hour and the stress over next day's tests at the hospital, I quite frankly decided that we should cut our losses and try to get some sleep. It is unfortunate that at such a critical time one has to encounter incidents such as we have described above which only add to the pressure and anxiety we already had. One wonders if there was a change in management at this particular hotel or new hotel staff that were inadequately trained.
