Score from 78 reviews Good
The staff were friendly The location was good and was within 10 minutes to downtown Montreal Parking was free. Supermarkets and restaurants were within five minutes by car.
I did not get the non-smoking room which I specified in my booking. Maybe because we checked in after six pm. But the staff did light a scented candle and but morning it was fine. The room is not big and with 2 double beds is a challenge to move around.
clean quiet comfortable room- lots of hot water
no coffee maker in the room. TV remote did not work.
Lovely river setting
unpleasant 'adult films' on the television spoilt what could have been a very good motel
We were looking for a place to stay near Montreal when everything in the city was already booked. Motel Rideau is an easy drive into the city, where we were able to park all day for $10. We were impressed by the cleanliness and quality of the room. Overall, it was very pleasant.
the smell when u come in.. the blankets smells weird.. the bed not comfy.
We took a weekend to relax away from home. The motel is in a nice quiet area, next to the highway so it was easy to find and has plenty of parking space for 2 or maybe 3 vehicles or a trailer if you need it. On the other side there was a gazebo set up next to the river.
The hotel at first glance was run down looking, but was nicer on the inside. While the amenities were adequate (towels, soap, etc.), the hotel room itself looked like it had some water damage or just wasn't painted properly on the bottom of the door frames. I didn't really inspect it. The door was painted over, but not completely so some of the paint underneath was showing through and it made it feel like it was run down inside even though it was actually fairly decent on the inside. The aforementioned gazebo was fairly run down as well. It has a few cement blocks laid out as a path towards it but you could tell it hasn't been kept up in quite a few years. Overall I would recommend anyone who wants a nice quiet getaway for a good price.

Broken washroom floor and very dim lights
The room was dark and gloomy The floors were uneven The bathroom door was broken The paint was chipping everwhere Room didn't get cleaned Would not recommend to anyone
The Staff were very welcoming. Thank them for the excellent service they provided and the information they gave as well. Location is very convenient Spacious Room Huge TV
It's not that I didn't like. Just a suggestion to increase more customers: 1) Remove the Adult Channel as you might have some families passing through there. 2) Add a Closet for guests who are staying for a few days. I was there for 5 nights and I can only hang my stuff. There was no place to properly put my clothes. 3) Bathroom is really cold when left closed.
I liked that it was super close to where I had my appointment the next morning. I liked the fact that it was a cute little set up.
I did not like the fact as soon as I turned on the tv there was porn! That is a big no for me. It was difficult to open the door at first, and although I had an internet code it took forever to connect. This place looked a lot better online then it did in person. I am glad that I reserved my rate two weeks in advance because the rate that it would have been was not worth it.
AVOID AVOID AVOID! Very little communication with front desk, hairs in supposedly clean bed and on pillows, holes and marks all over the the walls, noisy, fights and violent altercations till midnight in rooms down from ours, non-smoking room reeked of stale cigarette smoke. Couldn't wait to leave the next morning. Stay away!
Riverside , parking , rooms are clean and comfortable
this hotel was ok for the price, the location also.it was also very clean.
rooms were clean and big. very nice for an excellent price. pretty view of the water as well
liked it lots 1st time there stayed in room 8 very good clean n comfy
didn 't like it on 2nd stay not as clean room 10
The back view on the st-laurent river. calm and quiet.
Fridge was not working. No DVD player. small rooms for 4 people.
The price and the room size were both great.
It took around an hour to get into Montreal by bus. The shuttle that takes you from the hotel to the main bus depot, where a bus to Montreal leaves almost every ten minutes, comes only once an hour.
Clean rooms. Great location on St. Lawrence river.
-No backup power supply. Power was down for more than 24 hours is the whole area.
It is quiet and has possibilities to sit on the bank of the St Laurence river. It isn't far from town.
The location and the lake near the motel were nice.
It was not so clean. When we arrived we saw many trashes at the entrance of the motel. It is not a good way to welcome people. Moreover if you go there, just know that it is not like on the pictures. Definitely not. The price is quite expensive for the service we had.
