Score from 162 reviews Very good
Location was great, right in the centre of the old town. Staff were very polite and helpful. Room was excellent. Overall, the hotel lived up to its reputation. Would definitely stay again
The wifi is useless, and given you pay a good price on the room there should be no premium upgrade. Definitely a business model not suited for a hotel trying to market itself as luxurious at the base rate as it cheapens that value...
Great place to stay in Old Montreal. Short walks to restaurants, Notre Dame, museums and port.
Very comfortable room Staff very helpful-excellent Location perfect
Restaurant tried very hard but menu was overly complex and results not consistent.
Didn't like the location of the room. It was by the elevator and was a bit noisy.
The staff was attentive friendly and extremely helpful. Room was well appointed and roomy. The public spaces were comfortable and welcoming.
This is one of the most beautiful and unique hotels anywhere. Our room was stunning. The staff was friendly and professional. The location is terrific.
The rooftop restaurant bar, while it may be the place to be seen had only the most average fare (both food and drink). I love to eat outdoors and the view here is great, but I'd recommend having a quick drink and moving on.
When a four star Hotel charges a four star price for breakfast and delivers two star service, it leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
the general accomodation
Great location, staff was attentive, professional and very helpful. On site restaurant was fantastic. Jr. Suite was large, well-appointed and comfortable.
Wi Fi was mediocre and it looked like you had to pay for more bandwidth.
Well designed room
Access to room was ups and downs
Staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful. The staff is definitely the hotels best asset. The room was large and comfortable--very nice accommodations.
We opted for breakfast included. It turned out to be a continental breakfast which was served in the lounge not in the dining room. The sitting arrangements left something to be desired. The breakfast was laid out on the bar and you served yourself. All the items were cold. Not our idea of a proper breakfast.
Decor, location, friendly staff
Front room was noisy, but they switched us to a back room and it was perfect.
The staff were beyond exceptional. They are definitely some of the nicest we've ever encountered, and that is saying a lot as we pretty consistently stay at some of the nicest hotels (Ritz, Four Seasons, etc.) The rooms were spacious and nicely and the location was great.
Only complaint was the street noise.
location staff, especially Maude, the concierge
Noisy at night because kitchen noise from restaurant. Early morning workers in alley were noisy as well. All tolerable and to be expected.
The staff was helpful and welcoming, the rooms clean and very comfortable. There is parking for those who arrive with their car. The Nelligan is situated not five minutes from the old town and the waterfront, and perhaps a ten-fifteen minute walk from downtown and Chinatown. It's ideal if you intend to visit Montreal in a short period of time, as it is close to most of the historical sites and the Saint Laurent.
Location and the hotel. Been here befor and would gladely come again.
The rooms were great and the location is very central. The staff were very helpful and the free drink in the bar most welcome. The roof terrace with views to Notre Dame was a great place to have a drink and relax.
The room was well appointed
No tea and coffe facilities in the bedroom Very poor breakfast There is a roof terrace but don't expect anyone to tell you it's there
Location was very good
Every morning from 06:00am there was tremendous noise until 8:00am which would wake us up and specially our baby which made our stay unpleasant. When we told the cleaning lady, she said that it is the garbage trucks and you can't do anything about it.
Staff wonderful, roof terrace, pefect location, complemenary water in the room, great bathroom
Excellent location for viewing Old Montreal. The staff is well trained, knowledgable and eager to ensure you enjoy your visit. The rooms are very comfortable with excellent beds.
We stayed for 4 days and 3 would have done it. We explored 3 areas of Montreal is missed nothing. If you are looking for a food gastronomical experience then Montreal is the place. As for quaintness, antiques art galleries, Quebec City is the place.
Great location. Our room facing the street had windows that opened and that was nice.
Great location, good breakfast, friendly staff and very nice decor
The room was a bit dark( an internal room), could be noisy sometimes
Very friendly helpful concierge with good recommendations. Great breakfast buffet. Tea and coffee available to help yourself throughout the day. Excellent location. Nice sized rooms. Nice touch of welcome drink on arrival.
