Didn't like the location of the room. It was by the elevator and was a bit noisy.
The staff was attentive friendly and extremely helpful. Room was well appointed and roomy. The public spaces were comfortable and welcoming.
This is one of the most beautiful and unique hotels anywhere. Our room was stunning. The staff was friendly and professional. The location is terrific.
The rooftop restaurant bar, while it may be the place to be seen had only the most average fare (both food and drink). I love to eat outdoors and the view here is great, but I'd recommend having a quick drink and moving on.
the general accomodation
Great location, staff was attentive, professional and very helpful. On site restaurant was fantastic. Jr. Suite was large, well-appointed and comfortable.
Wi Fi was mediocre and it looked like you had to pay for more bandwidth.
Well designed room
Access to room was ups and downs
Decor, location, friendly staff
Front room was noisy, but they switched us to a back room and it was perfect.
location staff, especially Maude, the concierge
Noisy at night because kitchen noise from restaurant. Early morning workers in alley were noisy as well. All tolerable and to be expected.
The staff was helpful and welcoming, the rooms clean and very comfortable. There is parking for those who arrive with their car. The Nelligan is situated not five minutes from the old town and the waterfront, and perhaps a ten-fifteen minute walk from downtown and Chinatown. It's ideal if you intend to visit Montreal in a short period of time, as it is close to most of the historical sites and the Saint Laurent.
Location and the hotel. Been here befor and would gladely come again.
The rooms were great and the location is very central. The staff were very helpful and the free drink in the bar most welcome. The roof terrace with views to Notre Dame was a great place to have a drink and relax.
The room was well appointed
No tea and coffe facilities in the bedroom Very poor breakfast There is a roof terrace but don't expect anyone to tell you it's there
Location was very good
Every morning from 06:00am there was tremendous noise until 8:00am which would wake us up and specially our baby which made our stay unpleasant. When we told the cleaning lady, she said that it is the garbage trucks and you can't do anything about it.
Staff wonderful, roof terrace, pefect location, complemenary water in the room, great bathroom
Excellent location for viewing Old Montreal. The staff is well trained, knowledgable and eager to ensure you enjoy your visit. The rooms are very comfortable with excellent beds.
We stayed for 4 days and 3 would have done it. We explored 3 areas of Montreal is missed nothing. If you are looking for a food gastronomical experience then Montreal is the place. As for quaintness, antiques art galleries, Quebec City is the place.
Great location. Our room facing the street had windows that opened and that was nice.
Great location, good breakfast, friendly staff and very nice decor
The room was a bit dark( an internal room), could be noisy sometimes
Very friendly helpful concierge with good recommendations. Great breakfast buffet. Tea and coffee available to help yourself throughout the day. Excellent location. Nice sized rooms. Nice touch of welcome drink on arrival.
Service and concierge
We were in Room 501 adjacent to the entrance to the rooftop bar and restaurant. The constant stream of people was noisy and annoying.
I had to have a cab at 4:30 a.m. for an early morning Saturday flight, and the staff had a cab available early. Much appreciated! And the wife thought the room was in words 'awesome'.
I thought the intimacy kit was silly.
A little noisy if you're near the roof top patio.
Perfect location in the old city. Thought the package which included breakfast was a great value!
Having to re-enroll in wifi everyday.
I was given an inferior room that I booked. I called front desk and told me that when they received reservation from booking.com, there were no rooms in the superior category left. I booked in March!! I was not pleased with reception that I received. If they have a problem with booking.com customers then do not have your Hotel on it. They did change the room but certainly not a superior room but charged me the same. I just happened to book with you and found it easier thatn booking directly. I feel that they should have given me the courtesy of informing me that that accommodation which I reserved was not going to be available back in March when they got the reservation or at least upon check in. They did not do either.
My husband and I spent 7 nights at Hotel Nelligan in a beautiful King room on the 4th floor. We had just arrived from a few nights' stay in New York City and were overjoyed to see the size of this room in comparison. What a wonderful surprise to have space and a place for everything! It had all the comforts of home with complimentary bottled water, chocolates, shower gel, body lotion, shampoo and conditioner in the room, plus coffee and tea in the lobby whenever you want it. The hotel staff were wonderful and went out of their way to make our stay the most enjoyable. The location of the hotel is superb too - in the heart of Old Montreal and just steps away from "all the action", restaurants and shopping. We loved it!
We had an issue with our AC on the 3rd night - it wasn't cooling enough - and they sent someone to our room a few times to fix it. It finally started to cool off on our last night which was probably the one night we slept well.
The staff went out of their way to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. They went the extra mile while accommodating our needs. They made our day with their smiles.
