Probably the best bedding of any hotel that I have visited. The concierage, Nathalia, was ever pleasant, smiling, knowledgeable and ready to assist with requests and is very much an asset to the hotel The daytime lunch manager of Versus made a deep impression on me in the maner in which he waived my lunch despite protests, for my small concern about one element of what was a very well prepared and tasty luncheon meal. His concern for customer service and overall food satisfaction should be highly commended. Front Desk staff were always willing to advise and create a welcoming first impression for guest arrivals and ongoing suggestions and assistance.
As a resturing guest, my patronage speaks for itself.
We loved the comfort and elegance of the appointments in our room. We had a junior suite, but the Jacuzzi tub was a surprise. The staff were helpful and friendly and accommodated our limited French.
The particular room, no. 217, we would never stay in again. Its location seemed to be above the kitchen, because we had cooking smells from breakfast every morning. We also had noise throughout the day from the laundry chute which was next to the room. There were also many silverfish in the bathroom, the drawers, and the room carpet: the room needs regular insect-prevention work. If they had been insects more harmful than silverfish, we would have asked for a different room.
Optimal location Beautiful decor Clean facilities Helpful staff
Nice quiet and well appointed immaculate room. Staff very helpful and keen to make our stay as comfortable as possible. also plenty of nice little touches. We would definitely stay at the Nelligan if we are in Montreal again.
My wife is a vegetarian and like a lot of places we have visited the choice was very limited. On the plus side the staff gave us some excellent recommendations and even printed the menus for us to view.
Everything was stellar. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious with nice bath products. The location was perfect. Concierge and front desk services were very helpful and efficient. Doormen and car valets were friendly and efficient.
Not a thing!
Great location. Wonderful staff.
The room I stayed in was very nice, but it faced the street (Room 403) so you could hear traffic very early in the morning which isn't great if you wanted to sleep in.
beautiful room, excellent location, charming porters and desk staff, most enjoyable restaurant.
breakfast was a little underwhelming for choice and service. Some additional effort in this respect would match the standards of hospitality and quality that the hotel otherwise provides. Only one business desktop computer in the lift lobby with unpredictable connection is not one one expects from a hotel of this calibre.
Spacious rooms, brick wall decor which gives a warm feeling, plush beds!
Other then the location and beautiful Old Montréal setting the hotel is breath taking. The atmosphere of it reminds me of the Hotel Ambos Mundos in Havana but the details in this hotel are looked after to perfection. The staff is amazing. Nathalia at the concierge has helped us to make our stay in Montreal the best ever.
Absolutely loved the location! We took the Via Rail into Montreal and walked to our hotel. It was our first time in Montreal so we didn't know what to expect. This location was perfect for what we wanted to do, which was exploring Old Montreal on foot. The concierge was wonderful and provided excellent recommendations for dinner and a great coffee shop the next day.
We really liked the interior of the room, however, we had an atrium view. There were people walking around on our floor that could see into our room, so we just kept the blinds and drapes closed. Other than that, beautiful facility.
The bedding was super comfortable.
Because of the location there was a lot of street noise during the night.
The location and building itself are exceptional. The staff is impeccable.
The rooms are dated and need a general renovation. The electronic amenities are shockingly old for a hotel in this price range.
Excellent food at Verses Restaurant albeit very small portions. Exposed brick, big bathroom.
Wi-Fi signal almost non-existent though we paid $9.95 per day for access. Toiletries could have been better considering that we were in a junior suite.
This is our first time in Old Montreal and at this hotel. We absolutely loved everything about this hotel! The staff was so professional, kind and helpful. Our room was beautiful -- top-notch --updated with gorgeous furnishings and beautiful bath with rain shower head and granite counters. Our room also had a fireplace and stereo. The location cannot be beat -- right in the heart of Old Montreal and close enough to walk to downtown Montreal. This is our new favorite hotel!
Perfect location, beautiful old world charm, with staff that made you feel welcome from the minute you arrived!
The Continental Breakfast was a wonderful European treat, but we would have enjoyed a bit of variety. We did order breakfast from the menu which was delicious!
Bedroom Breakfast Location in old town area close to many resturants
Wonderful, friendly service in a lovely boutique hotel nestled in the old part of the city.
Can get a little loud outside at night.
Wonderful staff and excellent location, walking distance to many tourist attractions and wonderful restaurants. Welcoming and comfortable lobby. Very comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom.
Our room was close to the elevator and were woken up by conversations in hallway. Recommend rooms away from elevator. Otherwise our stay was perfect.
Nice little gym, roof deck and many lobby areas in which to relax...fireplace, etc.
Wonderful hotel Excellent staff- always helpful. Close to old town sights. Verses restaurant served a fantastic dinner. Boutique hotel with over 100 rooms, although felt smaller.. Rooftop terrace with a view. Highly recommended
Liked everything. Think about a room on the port side as the bar across the street can be noisy at night.
The friendly and efficient staff. The comfortable and spacious room. The proximity to the old town.
The rooftop terrace was a great place to unwind after walking all day. The restaurant in the hotel, Verses, is outstanding, had our best meal and best service there and we found numerous good restaurants closeby. The concierge staff were delightful and very knowledgeable.
Paying $10 a day for faster WiFi. It's a basic utility, electricity and water. The charge is unjustified.
Location on Rue St. Paul is excellent. The hotel itself is beautiful and interesting in that it encompasses three old buildings with differing levels of floors. The room and bathroom are very modern. There is no tub, but the glass shower is huge. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly and extremely helpful. The room was extremely quiet. We will definitely be returning prior to our cruise next year.
I did not dislike one thing about this hotel. We had a wonderful stay.
