Netty's Nest Visitor Lodge  

It felt so homey.

The staff were very friendly and the place was clean and quiet.

Close by river and hospital very secure and brkfst kitchen was a nice feature. Also I left my red thermos in the fridge and also rm #1 left the lid for thermos there. Cud u hold it for me and get my nephew to retrieve it

Hard to back out onto main street as were large holes and busy street also doors were heavy to push also cudn't figure out how to change channels Cudn't get back into the place after I realized I 'd left something there like an hour after we had left

Stayed there while travelling around the world in northern railway circumnavigation. I chose the place because of location and price. It's stands on the river near the University bridge, close both to Downtown and Broadway. The hotel itself is very clean and nice, on each floor there's a small kitchen with a teapot, a microwave and a toaster (no stove). And many thanks to the brilliant staff!

The internet in the hotel is limited to 500 megabytes per day, and only the first 500MB technically are free. I use internet a lot to publish photos and reports on the go, so I had to ask for new internet cards a lot. Not a big problem, but still, not the best way to limit internet usage.

Friendly, nice and clean rooms, easy to find, and would make this my come to place whenever I am in Saskatoon

Instructions as to not bill my credit card because I was paying cash. Paid my room by debit only to be told shortly after that I have to wait for my funds to be returned on my credit card for 5 business days??? Could not reverse charges to my debit account???

We rang the doorbell and were seen to immediately which was good!!Everything was clean and tidy and room was nice!!As we were tourists it was nice to see a brief map of the city to take and a book of the city in the kitchen!

I didn't like that only on the morning we checked out we were asked if we had parked our vehicle in carpark!of course we had,so an extra $5 dollars was added to an already fairly expensive room, there was no signs up when you walked in about carpark and we were not told when we checked in!I say expensive because for the same money or slightly less in other cities we had a much bigger room with ensuite and kitchen!

It is clean and quiet.

No private bathroom

The location, the first night was very quiet, the cleanliness, the flat screen TV.

The shouting couple at 12:00 at night and the cold water tap in the shower did not work so I had to go elsewhere in the building to shower.

Value for money

Couldn't work out how to work the shower taps, didnt know hot from cold or how to mix warm water, main reason once taken of glasses cant read.

basement suite with barred windows and no private bathroom. Not worth the money as we will be using a chain hotel on the way back for just a little mote money

The room doors are very loud when they close.

Close to sight-seeing (the Saskatchewan River), close to amenities, very clean and quiet. Very affordable, comfortable, I highly enjoyed my stay.

Location and Cleanliness

Staff was very friendly, it was possible to check in earlier. They helpt us how te get to the places where we were looking for. We hed are owne key so you can come home when you want. It was very clean, every day clean towels. It wa great to stay there!

No stoof in the kitchen.

It was fairly quiet.

No phone book, no tourist information, air conditioning was not turned on when it was a 40 deg c humidex and it took the airconditioner over 24 hours to cool the room down to 72 deg F. Not good for young children to be in that kind of heat. The whole lodge was over heated and not air conditioned, over 32 deg c in kitchen, bathroom and hallways. Having a communal bathroom is very inconvenient for young children as well especially in the middle of the night and when there are many guests using the same bathroom. Getting to the lodge is very inconvenient due to traffic and coming from the east as you have to turn around and come from the west. Parking is very limited. Need to have more than 4 glasses, plates, etc in the cupboard for communal kitchen. Get plastic!!!! It was 89 deg f in our room when we checked in...cooler on the balcony and we were told to keep our 4 year old (who was just sitting on the chair or the floor of the balcony) off the balcony & we were out there with him at the time.

It was very neat, clean and quiet. It felt like a respectful place.

Paying for parking sucks. I was told I could park in front or back. I parked in the back and came in the back door but all the even numbered rooms are accessed from the back. I had an odd numbered room which is accessed from the front. It would have been nice if this had been explained as there are a lot of stairs and not a clear road map of how to get there. For your elderly guests it would be nice if it was explained to them.

Decent place, quite clean, helpful staff, shared baths are clean.

Needs some more ventilation rooms are a bit stuffy.

It was a secure location with obliging neighbours on either side.

Receptionist was not obliging. Room was dark with a damp smell. Had to leave window open all night. Internet did not work at first unless you disabled all firewalls and even after doing this,could not book anything online because hotel was using an unsecure internet connection. Receptionist would not print out airline itinerary with hotel printer

The Lodge was clean and tidy and the staff on afternoons were particularly good. We didn't interact with any other staff

Didn't understand as a guest why we had to pay for parking as no public parking anywhere else was available within close distance to lodge.

Netty's nest was neat as a pin. All I needed was a place to lay my head and not worry about who would be breaking in to my car. This place is secure. Although the room didn't have it's own bathroom, the shared one was immaculate. Kinda like the old days,,,,,,, only much better.
