Beautiful accommodations - we stayed in the queen-sized bed and bath suite. Entire home charming and comfortable. Laura's personal history with the Stratford Festival, and her ongoing support of it, really enhanced our experience. The breakfasts were exceptional! We will recommend NewHaven to other theatre fans we know.
Only a couple of minor things: bottled water and soda were available in the lounge, as was a "pod" machine for making coffee. But there was no process for getting tea after breakfast. Laura was very gracious about making me a pot one afternoon, but I would have preferred to not bother her and just make my own. Adding tea pods to the coffee selection would be great. Also, had trouble getting a WiFi connection in our room, although it was reliable elsewhere in the house (which is why we once had to check our smartphone at the breakfast table - a faux pas we wouldn't normally do - because we needed to confirm directions). Other than these minor things, everything was splendid!
Our hostess was excellent and we enjoyed her input into the theatre scene in Stratford.
proprietor was a font of current and historical info, home was lovely, food was local and excellent, location on river is great
sharing a bath. (the rooms with an en suite were already booked when we made our reservations)
The friendliness of the owner and her knowledge of the history of Stratford.
Lovely house with lots of old world charm, comfortable room overlooking lake, excellent breakfasts, very hospital hostess whose family home has been in b&b business for more than 60 years. A restful stroll along lake with swans & ducks to downtown Stratford and theatres.
Only that it took a bit of time to get wi-fi hook up, but fine once we got connected.
Had a truly delightful stay at this wonderful B&B, overlooking the river and surrounded by lovely scenery. Within walking distance of the theaters and hosted by a most hospitable owner, I enjoyed her lovely company, as well as that of her guests! Loved every minute and can't wait to return!
There was nothing "not to" like
Perfect location on a natural & beautiful river, easy walks to town & theatres. Owner is perfect & house is a work of art. Many fellow guests are regulars & a delight.. Fall in love there-

The breakfast crowd was great and Laura was very helpful and hospitable.
Sharing a bath was difficult, but we knew about it in advance.
Laura was so helpful and informative. We had a wonderful stay and it was very sad to leave. We immediately felt welcomed and at home.
*Watching swans on the river from the bedroom window *Being within walking distance from downtown & theatres *Our hostess's extensive knowledge of the theatre history *Lovely home, lovely breakfasts, lovely hostess!
Laura, the host, is very knowledgeable about Stratford. She has great stories to share about the Festival, and has good suggestions for restaurants and activities around the town
Fantastic decor and wonderful hospitality! Felt very welcomed and comfortable. Incredible breakfast, nutritious and tasty!
Could not get wifi in my room. Price a bit high, but I suppose it's competitive.
Quiet, comfortable and view of the river with the white swans on the water. Easy walking distance to the theaters. Breakfast by Laura were fabulous. She is a wealth of information about Stratford
Beautiful and peaceful location by the river; within walking distance to the theaters and town center. The hostess has such an intimate knowledge and so many wonderful stories of Stratford that staying here itself felt like a cultural treat. The room and the whole house were beautifully furnished, rich with history. The breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious.
We could not have been happier with our stay. Laura Pogson is delightful, the place is charming and we loved our spacious room with the large en suite bath. Laura knows everything there is to know about Stratford. We left feeling like old friends and plan to come back again.
Wifi was a little spotty in our room, but I figured out if I signed on in the hall and walked into our room it worked fine! Hardly a major problem.
It is convenient to the Stratford Festival Theatre and faces the park on the Avon River. Lots of information on the Shakepeare plays. The hostess is very helpful and friendly. A beautiful home and bed and breakfast .
This is a lovely B&B. The home is filled with beautiful antiques & the setting is perfect - just across the lake from the Festival Theater. My spacious room overlooked the lake with its swans & geese. Laura Pogson is a wonderful host & her breakfasts are delicious. I will not hesitate to stay here again, maybe for longer!
Our gracious hostess Laura was a fount of information on the character and development of Stratford and its Festival. Her breakfasts were a feast of local organic foods, and the ambience and comforts of this little gem by the river were everything we could have wished for. In a word, wonderful.
The owner was very welcoming and her home is lovely. Our room was very comfortable, and the breakfasts were delicious.
I liked everything about the B&B. The room was huge with a comfortable bed and the B&B was very close to the theatres. Laura Pogson, the owner was very hospitable and knowledgable about Stratford. Her breakfasts were wonderful.
The owner, Laura, was delightful. Attentive, but not intrusive. Her home is lovely and well furnished for a B and B. The setting is beautiful overlooking water and within walking distance of the Festival Theater.
Sharing bath with another guest and twin beds. Didn't know to expect that.
The B&B is beautiful, breakfast is excellent and Laura is a consummate hostess.
Everything was great.
Fanastic host. Best breakfast in the planet.
Absolutely, nothing bad about Laura Pogson's B&B.
