The girl at the front desk was very knowledgable, friendly, and helpful.
The facilities would benefit from an update. The bathroom was not cleaned up to an acceptable standard. Considering the prices of hotels/B&Bs in Stratford, this hotel was inexpensive but the quality of the facilities was lacking.
Room availability on short notice and price not bad for theatre season. Walking distance to Avon and Festival theatres.
Run down bathroom, lumpy mattress, windows fit so poorly you can hear everything in the parking lot. OK for one night, wouldn't stay longer.
Location for price was good
Bathroom was a little grubby
Staff was accommodating for the two rooms we rented. We had a babysitter with us and they were able to give us end rooms to prevent babies from waking guests. Good location.
Shower was minuscule and falling apart. Hotel shows signs of age, wear and tear.
It was close to the theater, we easily walked there. The young woman who checked us in was nice, and the cleaning staff was friendly.
The carpet was dirty, the door was hard to manage (opening and closing.)
Location Simple, adequate space Comfortable bed Easy access to green space outdoors Sizeable refrigerator Friendly reception without synthetic oozy charm
Price was high for what we got. Would have liked to have tea/coffee making facilities
Staff was friendly
Room size, cleanliness
The appearance from the street. The sheets were clean.
Taps, door knobs, telephone,TV remote were filthy! Room and bathroom are shabby and small. The pictures and ads belie the reality.
The front desk folks were lovely and helpful.
The door did not fit tightly...so, I could see outdoors through the crack. I am sure that energy is being wasted in summer and winter! If you are not spending much time in the motel, and not expecting Hilton, this place is OK.
TV not working, alarm went off in middle of night
The hotel is located walking distance from the Festival Theatre. It is easy to find on the main road to town. Free parking. Great to have a very good small frig in the room.
I wish there is a small coffee maker in the room. Helps me get ready in the morning.
manager was friendly and honest
small size of room; Wi-Fi had mind of its own; shower almost primitive.
Old style simplicity. Functional yet inviting. Nice large grassy seating area adjacent. Friendly staff.
I was without a car and the treck to the theatres was a bit long.
The room was dark and dingy and the bed uncomfortable, the shower was really grotty, towels hard and small. No kettle (although they gave is a pretty useless one and two filty cups when we asked). It was a long way out of the town centre - a good 20 min walk. If I hadn't paid in advance I wouldn't have stayed at all.
Uncomfortable bed Teeny, tiny bathroom/shower No coffee in room or office No place to store clothing or toiletries. Often there was no one at the Front Desk to answer questions.
I loved the location-in the heart of Stratford. The motel was very cute and clean.
I didnt like that I did not have the option of cancelling unless it was 10 days prior to my trip
Location, good restaurants nearby, friendly staff, nice sitting out area.
Only one bedside lamp (second one was brought in on request), shower no bath, room was dusty, a bit pricey.
Clean comfortable beds, pretty garden setting.
No power point for computer/cell phone till we climber under the desk to use the tv plug
Bathroom was really small, only had a shower, the sink did not drain properly and the mirror was placed too lower to be usable.
It was clean and conveniently located
Air conditioning not good Bathroom too small No level surface in bathroom No non-slip mat in the bathtub/shower No bathmat
OK. We got a room in town with a late booking.
Small bathroom. When sitting on the toilet your knees were squeezed under the lavatory. Poor lighting and few electrical outlets.
We booked at short notice (6 weeks previous) during high season, so we were happy to find affordable accommodation (much less than the very pricey B&Bs still available) in a location so convenient to Stratford by car. Also, we had asked for a quiet room and were placed at the back of the motel, away from traffic, and we did find it quiet during the night.
The price felt high for the quality of the accommodation: the room we were in is badly in need of repairs and an upgrade: there was a stale smoke odor, most likely lingering in the old carpeting & paint; the bed frame must be very used/broken as it was really springy, but not in a good way, and noisy; the bathroom and shower were tiny; the toilet kept threatening to overflow; the bathroom floor was obviously rotting underneath the linoleum - it felt squishy; and the (cracked) shower stall is about to go through the floor as it's the squishiest.
Lawn chairs under a canopy. Good sized fridge.
No ice. No bath mat. No hair dryer. Bathroom mirror in wrong place, over toilet not over sink. Very small. Only one chair.
The location and the grounds were nice and the actual room (2nd choice after rejecting first room) was adequate for our needs
The bathroom was tiny and in need of a makeover. The shower, frankly was scary!
Decent price, and a good location - we were about a 20 minute walk from downtown. Room was clean, didn't hear other guests much.
The Wi-Fi signal was very weak in our room, and the bathroom could use a fan - even the quickest shower would steam it up completely, even with the window open.
