We really like the amount of space it offered and the location was nice and it was an easy walk to the village. The shuttle was easy to catch across the street and the grocery store being right across the street was also very nice.
The hot water didn't last through four showers back to back. And it didn't just slowly go away it was instantly cold. So we had to stagger them two and two. The kitchen could have used measuring cups and a few more cooking utensils.
It is so close to the main village.. I paid only about $220 for one night for 4 people so I think it was very good price.. Kitchen is fully equipped and overall it was excellent ..
Due to error by resort staff, got an upgrade.
Drove to location in booking email only to discover key pickup was in a different location. Contact number was not 24hrs, so no help there. Had to do detective work at 7PM to find right location. Luckily found it could have been sleeping in the car.
We had a great stay. The location is across the street from the central area of Whistler (including a playground for young children). The unit that we stayed was a wonderful 2 bedroom/2 bathroom with a fully stocked kitchen and televisions in one bedroom and another in the family room. We had a great time in the pool as well.
The units are dated. The pool could use some paint. Pretty minor things!
The fact that there is no option for pets. If they can have a small pet - under 20lb policy, that would help. Only a few designated units.
The north star cabin was perfect for us. It was like having our own little apartment in whistler for a couple days. Great location with the marketplace right across the street along with entrance to the west side of the village. The pool and hot tub were nice although hot tub wasn't that hot and we had a bit of trouble with our keys getting down into the underground parking via stair #12. Overall though a great place to stay. Next time we will come when more things are open in whistler!
The location was great right in Whistler and only a short walk to the lifts. Kitchen facilities were fantastic - everything provided including bbq and utensils. Appartments are very spatious and clean, and there's a hot tub and pool.
Make note that check-in is at Whistler Creekside which is 5/10 min drive down the road from Whistler village, this might cause problems if not travelling by car.
The room got missed for maid service and when we arrived the linens and towels from the last people were there. They did however find us a comparable room elsewhere within the hour.
location and comfort
I liked the size of the room. The kitchen was well equipped.
I had the worst experience with Whiski Jack. I was checking in late so left it as a special request when I booked. A few days before checking in, I tried to call them to confirm my late checkout, nobody ever answered the phone. I showed up at the location, the front desk was closed (it was 8:30pm). The number of the security person was on the door so I called. He informed me that I had to drive back 10 minutes to go to their Whiski Jack office and mentioned that it was no surprise that nobody picked up the phone. Once I got to the office, they made us wait 20 minutes while they were checking that our room was ready (it was 8:45pm!). They informed us that they had to move us and assigned us to another complex in the upper village that was supposed to be as close to the lift. It was actually not! Once we arrived at the location, someone gave us the keys, but they were not working properly and couldn't open the bike storage nor get us to the elevator from the parking. As well, despite our request for 3 keys we got only 2. I called the office to ask for access but no solution was offered as 'no one was available on the spot'. There only solution was to leave my expensive mountain bike tied to the rack on my car. There were dead little flies in the bathtub. Next day I walk up to the front desk to fix our access cards and they informed us that they were valid for only one day while we were staying 2 days. I am glad we went there, if we could have been locked out!
This is located a short stroll from the heart of Whistler Village. It was right next to a large IGA and BC liquor store. It had everything we needed from BBQ to hot tub!! Excellent value for groups of 6!
Check in was in creekside and without a vehicle this was a little difficult to coordinate.
A great two bedrooms and two bathrooms unit close to shopping and centre of town
Great location and amenities
check in was a pain in the neck...no one at the counter at arrival, had to drive miles away to check
No air conditioner like there was supposed to be. Cable box in master bedroom broken, which prevented living room tv from working.
What a great place to stay in Whistler! The location of Northstar was superb.... just a block away from the heart of everything in the downtown, and near to the Olympic Plaza, so one can easily walk everywhere. I stayed in an apartment-style condominium with 1 bedroom with a king-size bed, living room with a gas fireplace and sofa bed, dining room, fully-equipped kitchen, and bath. Northstar has a lovely pool and hot tub as well in the centre of the condo facility. Everything was in immaculate condition, very clean, and well-organized. I would most definitely stay here again. Great location, reasonably priced, lots of space!
Our condo was clean, spacious and comfortable. We greatly appreciated the secure parking included.
Although we were able to pick up our keys any time we were not allowed to store our luggage until after 3 pm. We arrived early in order to get the most out of our weekend getaway and most resorts and hotels offer this service.
Everything, especially the lifts up the mt. & the trails.
The location can't be beat. The condo was very comfortable and very close walking distance to the village. It was very clean and well stocked with appliances. The bed was comfortable and there was a washer and dryer as well. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again...but if in the summer, I might look elsewhere as you will see my comment below regarding the pool.
The condo was confusing to find within the complex and the parking wasn't easy to find and get into; we and a few others were frustrated by it. The pool needs better attention as it was very murky. We only swam the once and were not inclined to use the pool again which was disappointing. You check in at an office located at the entrance to Whistler. It would have been helpful to be notified that the office had moved. We asked and were told where they were now located, which wasnt far from the original location, thankfully. Not very good communication.
We were in Apt. 107 (I know they vary), in July 2014 Location - 2 mins from grocery store & the village. Facilities - Kettle, TV, Cable, Radio, Washer, Dryer etc. Good, free Wi-Fi Clean Free parking Quiet (even though walking distance to the village)
They advertised it as having A/C (which is important to us in Whistler in the Summer). It has A/C in the master bedroom only, which we thought was deliberately misleading. Chairs & sofa were a bit hard for us.
Huge amount of room, great for families and longer stays with kitchen and two bathrooms. The jets in the bath where a pleasant surprise after a long day of hiking.
Was a little warm inside, in whistler in summer, could have done with 2 or 3 fans. One provided and a stand alone airmen in main room made it tolerable.
I loved how our room was right by the pool and hot tub.
Needs to be alittle more updated, but other wise a great place.
