Score from 184 reviews Very good
fantastic beds, so comfortable, rooms bright, well furnished, had 2 different stays with Westin, rooms had different views but both very good. Will definitely stay there next time in Halifax (didn't use restaurants so cant comment on those but menus looked good)
Enjoyed the swimming pool... great Staff and valet helpful and friendly
The way to the swimming pool. Abit too long... but in the end we enjoyed a nice swim
Proximity Pool Gym
The linens where nice and clean. The TV screen was big and the quality of the image was excellent. The channels offer was good. The location was perfect for me because it is close to my daughter's university.
The room was not well cleaned, The phone was very dusty. The mattress was not firm. The elevators took long to come, and they were old. One of them did not stop aligned with the floor. A bit scary...
Friendly helpful staff. Great location for sightseeing in downtown Halifax. Walk to everything. We travelled across Canada and stayes in a bunch of different hotels on this trip. Westin Nova Scotian was the best value of all the places we stayed. Modest prices and great rooms, staff, and facilities.
Arrived late from the west coast and the only option for dinner was late night menu on room service. Limited selection and very pricey for a family dinner.
Close to Restaurants Pier 21
Really liked and enjoyed the area, very well situated.
Room we stayed in was a bit small
all in 2
I liked the location (near the train station). I liked the nearness to a lot of the facilities I liked (the boardwalk, Tim Horton's) I liked the beds I liked the pool
The room I was assigned had absolutely no view. I faced a cement wall. It was difficult to know what the weather was before I left the room. I would have preferred a more reasonably-priced restaurant; $14+ for a breakfast is fairly high.
Exactly as expected. Very clean, comfortable and well appointed rooms. Staff very helpful. Great location near the boardwalk.
Rooms and bathroom a bit small. Large walk in closet, but not necessary unless you are staying for an extended period.
Location. Pool and gym. Comply bed and clean room.
Charge to upgrade internet or sign up for a points card. No comp breakfast.
Hotel is located 100 mts from my daughter' s appartment! Hotel very clean, requests are considered!
Our bed was too soft. Bedroom was on the small side
I appreciated the pet- friendly premises and ease of stay with my dog while at the hotel. Thanks for making our stay stress free.
Location: close to the sea front walking area
Hotel a bit old Breakfast, not big choice
Ideal location situated at quiet end of sea front almost at sea level. Good starting place for our tour after a flight from the UK.
Would have liked to have had breakfast included in the deal.
Didn't like the idea of waiting 10-12 minutes for an elevator , similar to our last visit....hot tub and men's change room not working, similar to our last visit...see a pattern here???
The Westin gets a lot of traffic but there is really no excuse for the floors to be dirty in the halls where the rooms are. It makes you feel like the hotel is worn and not clean. This is an easy fix and would make the people staying there feel better about the hotel.
Elevator capacity unsufficient
Staff was helpful
Have stayed at the Westin several times. Like the location near the market, easy access in and out of the city. Easy walk to the waterfront.
It is a bit far away from the downtown core so evening dining out can require a taxi if you indulge in a glass of wine (or 3 :0). That is, of course, not the hotel's fault.
We found this hotel to be very centrally located for the waterfront of Halifax, easy to walk around. View of the harbour excellent
Starbucks coffee in our room
Loved the soft lighting in bathroom.
Rather cramped in room for the amount of luggage we had.
