Friendly reception, conbenient location
Could not sleep as the room was too hot and stay couldn't fix it. It was awful
The room temp. Never slept a wink and felt like I was stuck in a sauna. Total waste of 200 dollars
Staff didn't make young couple feel comfortable
very disappointed that they (now) charge for parking ..for most folk if you are staying at a hotel you are travelling and for most that means using a car to arrive..just another money grab and very much a factor that influences my choice in where I stay. But what I disliked the most was the "Westin scent" as you walk through the lobby. When I spoke to the clerk he indicated it wafts through all Westin hotels. Odd thing to do in this day and age..it smells like the cheap cologne my 25 year son wears ..horribly super sweet.
They charge for Internet And they charge for parking
staff at he front desk very friendly and customer focused
bit of a smell in the room- kind of like cat pee.
great service at front desk and restraunt
found the room cold
All the staff were wonderful and made us feel very special when we arrived. My bed was so comfortable and our room was spotless. I liked having a robe in my room. I thought the seperate entrance to the pool was fantastic.
Nothing my stay was perfect.
The location was great, it's connected to the railway station and has a grocery store next to that. Walking distance to most tourist sites. Lovely staff.
Parking price outrageous, considering there is only a concrete barrier between the hotels and the more affordable train station parking. Walls are so thin. And corridor/door noise so loud. Sad to stay here and have to wear ear plugs at night to enable sleep
Beds were fine. Location was good. view was good.
The toilet was disgusting, I cleaned it. I could not locate the keys to the mini bar. Also is it necessary to charge $6.00 for a bottle of water. Really!
The location is perfect
The hotel was noisy - I asked for a quiet room - was put in a connected room - when i complained, front desk told me the room wasn't connected - I had to convince them they were incorrect - wedding on the Saturday night - music was vey loud and don't stop until 1:00 am - tv in room didn't work - this is a westin hotel in name only - they bought an older hotel but didn't do a lot to update it
Close to train and down town.
Second night people next door were very loud. Bath fan didn't work.
Staff was very friendly.
The room was small and the air conditioning unit stunk which I'm assuming just needed the filter changed. We were right beside the elevator so we're woken often. Also, wasn't informed at booking that a $200 incidentals deposit would be required if we didn't have room on our credit card.
fantastic beds, so comfortable, rooms bright, well furnished, had 2 different stays with Westin, rooms had different views but both very good. Will definitely stay there next time in Halifax (didn't use restaurants so cant comment on those but menus looked good)
Enjoyed the swimming pool... great Staff and valet helpful and friendly
The way to the swimming pool. Abit too long... but in the end we enjoyed a nice swim
Proximity Pool Gym
Love this hotel, location is great, close to the water and some great restaurants.
Did not get a great room this time, the AC didn't work very well and we could hear a service elevator. Also asked for a water view and it was more a view of a brick wall. However still like this hotel and would likely stay again.
The linens where nice and clean. The TV screen was big and the quality of the image was excellent. The channels offer was good. The location was perfect for me because it is close to my daughter's university.
The room was not well cleaned, The phone was very dusty. The mattress was not firm. The elevators took long to come, and they were old. One of them did not stop aligned with the floor. A bit scary...
Friendly helpful staff. Great location for sightseeing in downtown Halifax. Walk to everything. We travelled across Canada and stayes in a bunch of different hotels on this trip. Westin Nova Scotian was the best value of all the places we stayed. Modest prices and great rooms, staff, and facilities.
Arrived late from the west coast and the only option for dinner was late night menu on room service. Limited selection and very pricey for a family dinner.
Close to Restaurants Pier 21
Really liked and enjoyed the area, very well situated.
Room we stayed in was a bit small
