Oakes Hotel Overlooking the Falls

We order 3 night for the fallview but we only can get a little view of the fall at 5th floor (blocking by the tree). I think only guest above 10 floor can has the full fallview...

we dont mind the fallview since we were out more of time.. However, they charge $13 for internet (which is free on discription, they told us they used to be free but it was changed) on the top of $15 parking fee. Moreover, i dont understand how come we get charge for the so called "fall/land improvement " fee, I though we already paying over 12 percent of tax which paying for the hotel and entertainment expenses in the place?

Our room had an incredible view and that is what we wanted.

I had a death in the family on Thursday the 12th. My reservations were for the 13th and 14th. I was unable to coome to Canada and stay at the hotel due to this unfortunate family emergency. I would however book again at your hotel. I have stayed their before and I absolutely love it.

Breath taking view of the "falls" from the 17th floor. Front desk staff were very accommodating and courteous. Complimentary coffee a good idea!

My wife and I have stayed at this Hotel a few times, we enjoy the view of the falls and landscape. The hotel is comfortable and very well appointed. I did book my son and daughter in-law in the Oakes as an anniversary present earlier this year.

I am disappointed in the size of the room for the cost. I booked a special room ( higher cost too) thinking it would be bigger and better than a regular room. I will not book a room like that again, however I will stay at the Oakes again, but I will not book on-line!

Your own restaurant on site would be Excellent!!! Also, because my boyfriend and I stayed for a full weekend it really would have been the icing on the cake to have a frig in our room. We called and requested one be wheeled to the room, just assumed there was one we could order?? We have stayed at your hotel in the past, and were thinking about making a few winter trips but cant decide where to stay?? Would love to come back to your Hotel, but a frig would be a must.

Great location and price

The furniture in the room was tired, one of the chairs had a large rip in it. Made the room look shabby.

Very noisy plumbing

During my stay at the Oakes Hotel, I found the room size to be very generous. I also enjoyed the fact that the jacuzzi was within the room and not in the bathroom.

Although I did like the room size and jacuzzi, the shower's glass door, although patched up with some type of silicone tape, had a large crack from one end to the other. It seemed a bit sloppy. Secondly, when I think of fallsview, I don't think of being on the 2nd floor overlooking a parking lot and trees. Therefore, it was a huge dissappointment, especially going there for a romantic anniversary.
