The location close to 400 was nice. The hallway had a pretty dense smoke smell. It was almost overpowering. The breakfast wasn't much of a breakfast at all.

Price and friendly people. It was convenient to the taekwondo tournament. The halls smelled very smoky when we arrived.

The staff was very polite and friendly. The hotel is budget, so decoration and facilities are in consequence, but it is well maintained and everything is kept very clean. Location was good for me as I was visiting friend living nearby, but for someone planning to visit Toronto, it's a bit too far to be convenient.

The location to the event I was attending A continental breakfast was offered in the price but there was no evidence of a breakfast in the morning. The room leading to my room were the smoking rooms and the hallway smelled heavily of smoke. I am allergic to smoke and would prefer not to walk through it to get to my room.

Absolutely great value. We normally stay at 3 or 4 stars rated hotels, but the comments on this hotel were quite favorable so we went with the value equation. We're very glad we did.

Cigarette smoke in hallway. No elevator. Indifferent front desk clerk at night. Stinky carpeting.

Rooms are clean, nice staff. We`ve stayed there 4 times. I Guess they are the cheapest in area but satisfying. Breakfast is: tea, coffee, orange juice and pie. Blankets are too old but the sheets are clean.

I have no negative comments about this hotel. It was clean and the room that I stayed in was clean. I was in room 201. I never had any real interaction with the staff, but when I did meet any of them they were friendly, polite and they did say hello.

The staff was very friendly and the front entrance of the hotel was great. They were kind enough to let us store our luggage when we checked out. We had some business to complete and we were from out of town and we did not have a car. It is great that the continental breakfast is included. I would suggest however that items such as fruit, cheese, or yogurt be included to the breakfast selections. There are many persons who are diabetic or who have weight problems and muffins are not the recommended breakfast choices.

Overall it was a nice place. The room was clean. Staff were very friendly and polite. First impression walking in was great. Next time I will pack my own soap and towels. Soap was in a dispenser, not individually wrapped and we had to ask for clean face towels. Pillow cases also had some suspicious looking marks on them so needed to get clean ones as well. The only thing that was a turn-off was the smell of smoke in the hallway, and a slight lingering smell in the room but it was not overpowering. Overall, for the price and time stayed it was good and would book again.

The room clearning service was exercelent. They have both fridge and Microwave in the room which is convenience. The location is easy accessible. The carpet floor was cracky in some areas in the room and made noises. One of the queen bed was not in good quality either, even turn around make noises.

We stayed at the Oak Inn for its location and price. The room was comfortable and clean. We were not looking for more than that as we had our own agenda. While there we visited Canada's Wonderland, CN Tower and Toronto Metro Zoo. All were a reasonable distance from our Hotel. We did however park at Yorkdale and take the subway to the CN Tower. It was also nice to have internet access to let family know we were having a good time. Traveling with kids requires you to bring a few extra items and I would have liked to have a little more space to put our suitcases and other bags. The complementry breakfast was nice but it would have been better with a couple of cold cereal choices for the kids.

Clean, friendly, good service. Very handy for public transport (bus then subway) into the city. Reasonably good local fast food and restaurants. Very good value for money overall.

Most of our stay was quite satisfactory and enjoyable. Only had two minor complaints. We went out to eat through the back door and returned through the same door. We were surprised to see that you could enter the back door without any kind of key etc. A little unsettling that anyone can walk in from off the street. Only other complaint is the soap dispenser in shower was empty and we had to keep getting out of shower to use the dispenser by the sink. It would be nice to have regular bar soaps in bathroom.
