I loved the view of the ocean and walking on the beach. I also loved the fireplace and quietness that surrounded me.
Beautiful location and facility. We will be back.
Quite possibly the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept on and an extremely well equipped kitchen. We even made muffins!
Very close to Rathtrevor but no sandy beach at mid or high tides and very steep bank down to the water. Not ideal with toddlers and a baby stroller.
On checkin, we were met by (I assume) Darcy, who was incredibly cheerful, happy, helpful, and informative. We'd been driving for a couple of hours, had arrived later than we wanted to, the kids were tired and hungry, and his cheery good nature set the tone for our one night stay. The unit was impeccably clean, the kitchen quite well equipped, the views amazing, and it was very quiet. We had two adults and three kids staying in a two bedroom flat and it worked out well.
The only things I didn't like have nothing to do with the resort. The weather was cold and wet, and we only stayed one night.
Had a nice time , was clean and comf
Location and price and value of this place are great. I would gladly stay here again.
The guy who answered the phone seemed kind of irritable or slow minded. It was like he was annoyed that I wanted a basic room and not a 2 bedroom suite. Also he argued about booking.com rate. I ended up using booking.com and saved $30 from what he said the best rate was. No big deal. I was happy to stay. The bath towels stink like they were left to dry in the washing machine. It made the room smell and I couldn't use them. I just air dried my body and shook my self around like a dog to dry off but kind of nasty that the towels stunk. They should throw their towels in the dryer after washing and not the next day.
Our managers could not have been more helpful...we got a very good last minute deal, so there was no kitchen, but we were able to get some plates, cutlery & toaster from our managers. Although the weekend was a bit soggy, we enjoyed a wonderful view of the ocean...our room was very cozy & quiet. We stayed here a few years ago & will be glad to come again as the managers are so welcoming.
Next time we will book a place with a kitchen....our mistake. :(
The location and the staff
It was dated, bed not comfy, and the shower was not great
Everything about this place places it in the top of our list for the Parksville area.
Comfortable beds; Nicely re-furbished with laminate floors etc. Very clean and very quiet. Love the elevator to the beach.
It has brand new flooring throughout and as such the living area felt a bit sparse on a cold day - could have used a rug under the coffee table and/or some throws on the couches to curl up with. No bath soaps or shampoo in the bathroom though.... but I would stay there again.
The location is beautiful, staff is friendly, rooms are clean and comfortable. What else to wish?!
the price and the location
We got the smallest unit and it lacked charm--very pedestrian in appearance although adequate for our needs.
Good location overlooking the ocean and was great to see local wildlife.
A small supply of toiletries helps when travelling as none supplied in room
Extremely hospitable owners (YAY for Darcy & co.) Never met a nicer family. The grounds were clean and nice. Views wonderful. Weather perfect. So many things to do so close by and far away. We love the island anyway, but discovering the gem of Parksville was such a treat. We'll be back and we'd stay here again for sure.
Quality of kitchen cookware. The option for kid-proof dishes. Everything was breakable.
The staff were really pleasant and very helpful. The room was large with everything you could have wanted. Step through the patio doors to see the fantastic views across the bay. Beautiful sunrise in the morning - shame we were only there 1 night.
The facility was great - clean, well stocked with utensils etc - initially we had wanted ground floor but the switch to an upper level suite was actually good when we found out just exactly how many children were staying at the resort - we realized it was family, just didn't realize primarily family. As a group of adults only, we felt a little surprised, but the chikdrn were well-mannered and supervised - just glad we had relocated to be above the fray,(so to speak).
It would have been great if there could have been a scheduled kid-free pool time at the pool- my friends and I would have used the pool but felt there was no time when we could have had a leisurely swim without benefit of a myriad of pool toys and children, Perhaps from 9 - 11 for adults only?
We felt at home from the moment we checked in with Guest Services Manager, Kristy. Our only child was never lonely, especially around the pool. We felt like we were leaving a very safe, comfortable community behind. :-(
That we couldn't stay longer.
the proximity to the beach it's quiet the price is right
condos need some upgrading bathtub needs a non-slip bath mat towels need upgrading no dog policy is a problem for me
Perfect place for a family to stay. 1 min walk to the beach. Nice staff. Beautiful scenery. Clean room.
Price a little be high than expected. tower are so old and afraid to use
The view was fantastic. The proximity to the beach was great.
The floors appeared to be dirty as the bottoms of my slippers were quite dirty by the time we left.
I didn't have more time to stay longer
The location was amazing. The resort is right on the beach and when the tide went out the shell hunting was so much fun
there wasnt anything negative
