Friendly and helpful staff. Locals were very obliging and welcoming.
Wifi needs upgrading and increased reliability. I do not consider this the fault of the resort owners but the net provider.
We only stayed for one night, but enjoyed it very much. The cottages are very charming and clean and the staff was very friendly.
nice spot. good cabins, not well maintained
had to change unit on account of faulty plumbing. TV did not work
The view was spectacular. The beds were very comfortable. The manager was wonderful and fun to talk to. She was extremely helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. The decor was pleasant and recently painted. The cabin was spacious and nicely furnished. We'll definitely come again!
The assistant, Dino(?), phoned us at home the day before departure wondering where we were. He had the wrong date. We had upgraded our room but he still had the earlier booking on the computer. He admitted he didn't know how to operate the computer. Not efficient! We were concerned that other things had been wrongly misrepresented. The blinds hadn't been shortened and were missing their wands for opening and closing. We needed help getting the TV running. No bureau to store our clothes - only a few hangers.
Charming, clean, well appointed little cabins complete with all the appliances and tools needed for meal preparation. Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet location with peek a boo ocean view, close to a hiking trailhead.
Not so much a dislike as a caution to those who are online for all the news and check email frequently: you are on an island and the wifi service is going to be spotty. Be sure to bring that book you've been meaning to read.
Appeared to be the best place to stay on Cormorant Island, Alert Bay! Nice location, lots of room, clean and the staff was friendly.
Internet connection was intermediate and not a lot to do on the island.
Friendly staff. They went out of their way to make it a perfect stay for us. The cabins were all unique with different floor plans, well equipped. It was clean and had comfortable beds. This is a real quiet, remote location.
Not much, our first remote type get-a-way.
