Was only a short walk from Clifton hill attractions, has club 7 across the street, and was very clean and nice in our room.
Only inconvience was the number of doorways and hallways to get to your room and not wheelchair accessible
Relaxed atmosphere Accommodating staff, Elegant room, Perfectly cooked food,
I reserved a room with a fireplace, and got it, but it wasn't operational. It would have nice to have been told about that during my confirmation call, especially when I told them I was a former worker there. I wanted the room for a romantic evening. Even when we went to the dining room for dinner, the table I had reserved was also by an unlit fire. We noticed the fireplace in the lounge was going and that disappointing to see.
comfort and quality of the room...close proximity to the falls...awesome staff... quaint/historic appearance of the building itself...just enjoyed the entire experience of our stay
a small bar fridge would have been nice..
Not much really. Maybe the location and the heated pool??
We were sent to the basement, didn't get the room we wanted, got a room with two double beds, the room was freezing, room was beside the pool which made it impossible for my baby to nap, Front desk didn't know the wifi password, staff was rude, cockroaches & centipedes, the room was more expensive than we thought. Paid way too much for a 2 star hotel. Do not stay here!!!
We decided to rent a room at the Old Stone Inn because the the aff stated the room had a fireplace but when we asked if we could get it turned on they said no. I was not impressed! We would have booked somewhere else.
Bed is confortable. Bathroom is clean
Noise, noise, noise : Doors slamming shut constantly, water pipes super loud, no isolaiton of doors, cleaning staff chatting and waking up people trying to sleep at 8am. Way to expensive for what you actually get. No coffee machin or fridge in room...and only one person at check-out, so waiting 30 minutes just to pay and leave !
rates and location
no hot tub at pool Clean rooms better no pets should be allowed hair everywhere in room
Rustic type nice hotel and staff is nice as well as convenient location.
Room walls are not thick enough as you can hear adjacent room people talking. Also take note not all rooms have bath robes and slippers as our room didn't have them like they advertised. And no coffee maker in room and no auto check out as we waited for 30 mins in line just to check out.
The location and the restaurant were fantastic.
While the room I booked was advertised "luxury" as having a fireplace, when we asked for it to be turned on, we were told they do not do so until a few weeks later.
The room we were downgraded to was terrible. It didn't have any of the amenities that we booked and paid for.
Pool, rooms, location and restaurant.
Staff weren't overly helpful or friendly. Cabinet for TV is useless. TV is too big for cabinet so doors won't slide back out of way. You have to be in middle of bed to see it!
The room was outdated, peeling paint, peeling around the sink and tub, carpet was old and worn Area where the room was also outdated- old key locks, b/c security doors used card keys we got locked out of the main hotel. Charge for coffee etc in the AM- coffee ran out, close to a 30min wait to check out.
The wifi is advertised as high speed, but for most of the time during our visit we had intermittent or no access at all.
Gave me wrong room and made no effort to help
It was a good hotel for the price. Good location, walking distance to most things.
There definitely was not free wifi in the rooms. I was searching and searching for a router but nothing. Not a huge deal but annoying when they said they have it. Also some extra hidden fees for parking and "hotel fee". I thought the hotel fee would be the rate I was paying.
This place was sooooo great! It locate near skylin tower and other great place. I paid $15 and park there for two day long!
The hotel was unique and inviting. Definitely a place that takes pride in their facilities. With modern furnishings and classic features this was truly a place of elegance. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My spouse and I would absolutely stay there again.
I honestly don't have anything negative to say about our stay.
Very friendly atmosphere and staff took time to chat. Rooms were beautifully kept. Was a return trip to Old Stone Inn after 26 years and a large improvement on the interior of the building.
disliked the fact that on top of paying for the room there was a parking fee. I think you charged enough for the room that parking could have been omitted. Pool was nice touch but a little on cool side.
Bed was comfortable. Room was basic, no frills. Stayed in section looking into courtyard, it was quiet.
Room did not come with a mini-fridge or microwave.
The only thing nice about this hotel is the lobby, bar, restaurant! Beautiful! Real wine glasses in the room. Lemon water in lobby!
Room was a dump! Cigarette burns in carpet, dusty and old, could not have been one of the so called reno rooms. The court yard rooms look like a motel. I did not see those pic's anywhere on the site. hmmm! We were in the front and for our money, we paid about $200.00 bucks a night, special on booking.com it was horrible, I know it is just to sleep, but I like to be comfortable in my room and I could not wait to check out.The service line up for check out was a nightmare! Parking $12.00 a day with tax $15.00 I am sure meter parking was cheaper was told don't worry about it. Front desk staff not friendly at all, no smiles, it seemed they did not really care if you were a paying customer. Place is like a maze, took long to find room. Prices are like 4 star which the lobby is but I am not sleeping in the lobby!!! I would never stay here again!
Good wi-fi Close to fallsview
They overbooked and moved us from the boutique part of the hotel to the MOTEL part without informing us or reducing the price. After complaining they moved us back to the boutique part but to a lesser room. Also had to tell them 3 times not to charge for parking since we had no car!
nice room, good atmosphere, cosy bar, nice dining room and ggod food at dinner.
breakfast was bad...eggs over done, cold hard toast, greasy cold potatoes.
- location was excellent, pretty close to everything (falls, casinos, restaurants, clifton hill) - the main lobby and restaurant were nice - rooms were fairly nice
- confusing layout, difficult to get to the room - we asked for a queen bed and get two doubles - pretty expensive for a one night stay (paid $200 after tax). - $12.99/night for parking is ridiculous
The place was clean.
Made reservation online at certain price and receptionist at front desk did not want to charge more than what was online.Ridiculous charge for parking your vehicle.Once your in the hotel there's a door in the hall leading to your room that locks behind you.You have to exit the hotel from the rear door to get back to front desk.
The staff was very nice and super friendly. And the location is good as it's a very short walk to the strip.
Booked online with a price of $277 total for 2 nights but ended up paying $364 due to parking fees and "facility fees" which they couldn't explain to us. Not the worst price in Niagara but they advertise as a boutique hotel but they are not. The decor in the rooms is from the 1970's or 80's and it's not even up to quality hotels from that time. Sink was rusty, the shower sucked. We had a very lengthy walk through the pool area to get to our rooms. And the sound proofing is non existent. sleeping was impossible as you can hear every word, or movement from anyone that's in a room next to you or out in the hall.
