Location was why I have stayed here twice now, but won't stay there again.
The facility is in dire need ofr an update. The staff is not motivated. The place is old and it shows. Owner doesn't keep the place up, but drives a Bently and parks in Handicap spots, which made my recent visit difficult as I had a person who needs the spot. Rooms always seem to be in need of something, broken toilet seats, no heat, or heat that the thermostat doesn't work so you have to get up and keep turning it on and off. Never enough towels, have to call for more. Just not a facility that is worth the cost.
Price was decent
Uncomfortable beds, outdated decor. Needs an overhaul.
Friendly, helpful staff. Pool, hottub and sauna were lovely.
Restaurant is exposed and it was a cold evening. We ate wearing our winter coats and were still chilly. Mediocre food. One of our rooms had a malfunctioning heater and was likewise cold. (Staff brought extra blankets.)
Dated in major need of update. The rooms were clean, but the whole facility is in need of some repairs. The building itself is an open artium, and was open to the outside, along with the rooms vented to the hallways, the whole building was cold. The heater in our room worked, but the thermostat didn't. Would be a better stay in the spring or fall, but winter in the PNW is not what the building was constructed for (southern california more like).
Very easy to find and access from the highway. Great location 10 minutes from Peace Arch Crossing!
First, the upgrading was excellent. What you receive for your dollar here is astounding and rare. The room, while plain is outfitted in cruise style quality. Bargain of the decade!
We liked the hot tub nice hot temp and suana was working well too kids really liked pool very convinent with resturaunt right there
The fact that we didn't get a room overlooking pool acade was too small kids didn't even want to play the games there
Staff were great. Price was appropriate. View from balcony was second to none. Live music was great and added to the enjoyment of out time there.
Difficulty locking and unlocking room door. Building is showing it's age in places.
noise from highway with old windows, poor combination!
friendly staff, good value.
No clothes hanger in bathroom, no grab bar in shower, could slip easily.
When eating in the restaurant, we asked for a glass of wine only to be told that it was locked away & they did not have a key. On the second night they managed to produce a single dusty already open, half full bottle & charged $12 per glass.
It's a beautiful looking place.
There was no heat in the lobby, restaurant, venue room, and the rooms themselves were just a little warmer. You were not able to turn up the heat, there were no extra blankets to be had, even upon request, and the staff seemed uncaring regarding multiple complaints about the cold. Never stay here unless it is the height of summer is my advice.
Hair salon not open Spa??? Pool closed Fitness room dirty
We had a piece of string to pull to flush the toilet
Quiet, clean, restaurant available.
Location and service.
Large and comfortable rooms, with two queen beds with higher end sheets and blankets.Large flat screen tv,Wifi included (free). Pool is indoors and heated, nice large hottub and sauna
The restaurant food is so, so. Prices are affordable but you can tell the food is not freshly made on site. Location is not easily accessible for walking to the beach or to other restaurants/stores. Can be nosey if you have a room that faces the highway.
quiet at nite for sleep, free wifi, exercise facilities, pretty clean, private, courteous and good staff
dated decore and facilities, thermostat in room did not work, shower leak, drain did not work - did not fix during stay... overall, it was ok, not great, not terrible
The bed and bedside tables were clean and inviting. Overall the room was in much better shape than the bathroom (except for the curtains and the window). It looked like the bathroom and the room were from a different era
The bathroom was really moldy; the bathtub, tiles and the walls were in dire need of some scrubbing. The curtains in the room were also dirty and falling down; we were afraid of touching them.
Lovely interior courtyard. Nice bathroom, nice furniture in the room.
Small electric heater took forever to heat up the room, shabby curtains. Couldn't get clean hot water for herbal tea. Only coffee maker available to heat water and much coffee residue. Road noise. Didn't have my Bookings.com reservation in their computer. Fortunately there was a room available.
The location was perfect for what I needed
I had to change my room because the first one #307 was smelling of mould and smoke, too much moisture in the room and the next room was much better but still some mould and a water stain on the ceiling. The rooms really need to get a major overhaul. very dated with the curtains, colour scheme and carpets
Location was good for us.
There was an earwig on the ceiling when we first walked in. The walls had splater marks and dirt marks. Not to mention all the spider webs along the top portion of the walls. The plastic white(?) draps were disgustingly dirty. Bed was hard and a fowl sewer smell lingered all night. We never took off our socks in fear of how dirty the carpets would be and we slept fully clothed. There must be no insulation in that building as we could hear other people peeing beside us. DISGUSTING! When we checked out, no-one asked how our stay was. If we hadn't have checked in so late the day we got there, 8:00pm, we would have found somewhere else to stay.
Front desk staff, Kiersten and Cat were both very gracious and professional. They both made sure that we received our fridge in room. Kiersten also took care of the extra paperwork when we arrived a day earlier than our reservation.
The room was clean but the wear and tear in the room and the bathroom was esthetically not nice. Having said that, the great staff and the affordable cost will ensure that we will continue to be guests at this hotel.
Location, staff, price point
Rooms starting to show wear, however linens, beds and towels all OK.
Comfort and price
Could use a new color of paint but everything else was perfect
