Vies, bar, boat across sound
Lack of temperature control
No AC in the room Too much noise in the room Dirty pool water Slow restaurant service
The water view. Loved it. Ceilings were cool. Pool and hot tub made it great after a four hour bike ride. Mattress great and very clean. Just so laid back and relaxed. Loved it.
Ate at dining room. Food was good but our waitress: could not answer question about items on menu like what is this dish? Answer " I don't know" ,dumped full glass of water on table-on my cell phone, seemed strange talking about her sick grandmother, seemed to never deliver the correct item to the correct person drink or food, put four things on our bill that belonged on another bill. Very surreal experience.
The ambiance is perfect!
The rooms are a bit dated.
Location Rooms, very spacy, two floors great restaurant free ferry to other part of resort on Meares Island
Bit cloudy invoice
The boat trip across to April Point
The phone in our room did not work.
location food and beverages and the large patio very friendly staff large size of rooms great value for money
room was not ready when we arrived ! reception staff friendly, but insufficiently trained - this meant that we had to change rooms 3 times during a 4 night stay !
Loved the room, excellent scenery great food
No AC, it was very warm in the room, but cooled down with time after dark.
Couldn't go on sunset cruise, which is why we went, as website said to book upon our arrival and they didn't run one that night!!! Friday night too!!!! Very disappointed Very Poor service from waitress on pub side, ( very slow, ignored us, not friendly) but food good
The location on the water, and the free water taxi was excellent.
The rooms had no air conditioning, and since it was 30 degrees C outside and the rooms faced west with the sun pouring in, it was way too hot in the rooms. People had propped open their doors to the hall way to get a bit of breeze through their room. The rooms were outdated and very basic. All evening we heard the noise from the bar and loud people outside in the courtyard so we couldn't sleep and had to get up early for our kayak trip in the morning. We would not stay there again.
Beautiful location, surrounded by greenery. The food was excellent, we enjoyed the clams and mussels and the mojito
The bathroom was a little smaller and there weren't sufficient towels
Pool. Food .Staff
No washroom at the pool
Loved the size of the room and view. Had wonderful fishing guides and tours on site. Made everything easy for our vacation to Campbell river. Would definitely stay there again.
Cleaned room on average level but towels were clean, changed and fine
Staff was very kind and available (we could eat a bit later than the opening hours). The view and facilities were amazing. A great place to relax. There is a free boat that takes to the sister resort on Quadra Island.
The only point is the design and furniture of the room that are a bit old.
Great location, great staff, good rooms with rather dated plumbing. A lovely place for a stay in Campbell River.
The food was NOT good. Badly over-cooked calamari (tough and greasy). Lamb shanks dry and tough, polenta rather like porridge. Tasteless pork tenderloin with overpowering and very salty mushroom sauce served with greasy log-cabin potatoes. Frankly, a foul dining experience.
Location, views, wildlife, evening boat trip, ferry. Mary (from the laundry) was sent to clean bath plughole and her customer service skills were excellent. A small discount was received for the missing items on the wrong breakfast.
Dirty build up of hair in bath plug hole, received wrong breakfast also misleading breakfast menu - poor punctuation and confusing reference to dishes containing eggs, waiting times for food up to 45 mins, petty charging for additional items and full price for a hot buffet breakfast not eaten as it did not cater for vegans, had to ask repeatedly for extra pillow. Service not up to standard - room cleaning should be checked daily by supervisor.
Close to Anglers Restaurant, eagles in the trees.
Noise from neighbours at night, outdated decor.
Front desk staff was excellent, knowledgeable and able to answer all questions. Rooms were spacious but hot (no air conditioning) however they provided fans.
Pool filtration system was not functioning.
Rooms are nice but outside porches are right next to each other and can hear everything everyone else is saying...no problem during the day but a BIG problem at night when you're are trying to sleep. Smoking allowed on porches so could smell it in our room during our stay. Very hot.in our room...no AC and only a limited number of fans. FIshing neighbors were drunk and noisy.
Fantastic, amazing place to stay. Views and fishing terrific, everyone, just everyone within the lodge crew were just great! Going back! Wendy mitton/ John wardrope
The staff was accommodating and amazing with our children. Our room was way bigger than we though with everyone having their own beds! What a treat! The pool was nice and refreshing and the view was breathtaking. We had supper on the deck our last night and enjoyed every bite. Thank you to the staff for everything they did to make our say as easy and comfortable as possible!
Beautiful setting. Very helpful and courteous staff.
Air conditioning would be nice or at least a fan. We weren't able to keep windows open while we were gone, as someone could easily come in the room.
Ocean-view room with balcony (in Redondo Lodge). Choice of pub or restaurant for dinner. Free shuttle boat to Quadra island.
Noisy refrigerator in room. Couldn't park close to room.
The setting on the ocean front. The views of other island. The food in the restaurant. The wildlife boat trip.
Had a bit of a wait for table service outside. But the food made up for it.
