I loved the personnel from the men door to the front desk to the cleaning lady, they re all lovely and helpful person. Food very delicious and fresh. Hotel in the heart of downtown. It s one of my favorite fairmount in the world ( i was in many of them), everytime i m in calgary i ll be stay in this hotel,

I had booked the Fairmont Gold Room with a smoking preference but they didn't tell me they're not smoking rooms. They put me and my 9 year old daughter in a small room in the corner of the 11th floor. Not at all what I wanted! I don't believe the room had been used in quite some time because it was dusty and there was hair in the bathroom. Not impressed!!! As a matter of fact, I don't even see the room we got on any of your web pages that I've viewed...VERY Misleading! Finally, for claiming to be soooo accommodating, I wasn't offered a reduction in price or anything to make-up for the major down-size...VERY Disappointing! I also have to say that the room service carts were filthy! The actual table setting was okay but the cart (both times!) was dirty! It had cobwebs on it and dust-bunnies sooo thick...it was gross! Just saying...

Your breakfast buffet is always a treat. Everyone was very kind and polite the whole stay.

Children. But you can't stop them from staying there. ;P

I liked the room and the staff

The internet service for a pay service was not worth the money as I had to contact the help desk just to log in and then it didn't work for more then 5 minutes. When you need it for contact it was a real negative to the whole stay.

You can't fake old and beautiful, it has it all.

The atmosphere of the Paliser has always been great. The food good and the people friendly

The help at the front door could use a little training. We had to carry our bags in by ourselves after quite a gruelling day. Thought that was a little unnecessary.

Very nice,awesome location lots of great resturants and bars near. Great service ,great rooms will be back.

The staff was excellent - welcoming, hospitable. They made us feel like valued guests.

No wheelchair access in the front . This makes it difficult for people with mobility issues and people with children in strollers .

the room was very dry as well the vent was very noisy and we had no sleep. was not happy...

Pool open 5am-11pm.

Neither the clock radio or telephone worked. I had to call long distance on my cell phone to get maintenance to replace the phone so I could place a wakeup call. The toilet ran when flushed & ran from the time of maid service until I arrived back at 6:30 pm. Frankly, I've had better amenities at a Motel 8.

Definately overpriced! I booked a Fairmont Room online going by a picture presented by the name of the room. What I got at the hotel was far below the standard of the room booked. Much closer to older Comfort Inn. Probably because I booked for discounted price (from over $300 to $200) I got an old and unrenowated room. The bed mattress was collapsed in the middle, furniture was old but not maintained, bathroom very old. After longer discussion and complaint my room was changed to a regular standard. Definately overprized hotel! There is nothing special this hotel offers apart from lobby with old smelly furniture. I come from Europe where antiques are more common and in definately better shape. Disappointed.

The Fairmont Palliser is an absolutley beautiful place in the heart of all things good in Calgary.Most of the fine hotels in this area can boast that feature alone. Where the Palliser shines is in their staff. All the positions in this hotel are filled with top notch people . Special thanks to Nichole at the front desk. This was our 4th visit to the Palliser and we are looking forward to our 5th.Well Done and thanks to all.

A beautiful old hotel, with well appointed rooms and comfy beds. Really good food. Excellent location close to everything. Excellent helpful staff.

There was a minor problem with the room that couldn't be fixed, so the hotel gave me a discounted room rate and free breakfast. Now that's great service!

Lovley, grand hotel, right in the middle of Calgary.

Dumb parking steup. Took ages to find a spot and had to walk a long way back to the hotel. I should have used the valet.

Had to pay for internet access and parking after paying such a high amount for the room.
