The bill was confusing
Super comfy beds Great location Easy valet Gorgeous hotel Great Staff
Despite signs everywhere, the pool/hot tub area was super noisy with kids and adults screaming, jumping and splashing everywhere. Not what I expected for this hotel but from a Super 8 or something.
Lobby and building are gorgeous. Staff are excellent and very helpful.
Cost of food and services are ridiculous. 8 dollars for a bottle of warm Evian water? 14 dollars for wifi internet? Hell if a super 8 can afford to provide free internet and a continental breakfast but a 5 star hotel can't? Kind of ridiculous if you ask me. If you get a cheap room it's worth it for the experience but otherwise stay elsewhere for a decent value.
Superb hotel in the heart of Calgary downtown. Very friendly staff at front desk room service and all over. Deluxe rooms and nice toilets. Quite expensive but relative to the other places downtown it is worth every penny.
Sometimes I heard the noise of other guests walking in the corridors, nothing like would wake me up.
staff very good
while dated facilities; they seemed well maintained.
Got a great deal. Location was very central. The bed was super comfortable.
Only downside was that only one elevator was working at the time. I'm sure that's fixed now though
The service, the opulence of the lobby and the so attentive staff you can't go wrong staying here. Every now and then I try another hotel and comment always seems to be "well its just not as good as the Palliser."
Rooms are a bit small, but they are so well furnished it doesn't really matter.
The pool and sauna are my favourite.
Originally I was put in a room right next to the train tracks the noise was very bad. I did not get much sleep. I did speak to the customer service rep at the front desk and they were kind enough to switch my room and upgraded me to a suite. I was so happy I wanted to extend my stay but you were at full capacity.
Smile from staff and very respectful personnel
Atleast there should be water.
Everything about this hotel was lovely. The lobby was beautiful, the room was nicely appointed, even the bath products were great.
The room was newlly remodeled, beautiful! The staff was excellent, from the door men, front desk to housecleaning.
We found the room a bit small for the price of the room. Very hard for two people to move around the room. We are as all people and found The end of bed placement the dresser where to close together which created a very narrow traffic flow and this was the traffic flow to the restroom.
Location was excellent and the staff very helpful and courteous.
Valet parking was expensive but helpful.
The magnificent Entry Space, which sets the tone of the hotel The Rimrock Restaurant - very good indeed Staff unfailingly very friendly and helpful
The view from my room - 522 - was of course of the rail yard. Not the best !! I would recommend the hotel to friends, but suggest they insist on a view over the city
comfort, location, friendly staff , good deal for money
Facilities and staff
Parking was $37
Great location and helpful staff.
The only negative was the train coming through very close to our windows even through the night !
Found the hotel to be very comfortable, and first impression as you walked into the foyer was one of elegance.
pool and steam room great.hotel very grand and historic.
carpets could use a good cleaning
i had an upset tummy and I asked the lady who was waitressing would she be able to toast me some bread as this was all i wanted. she was more than obligant and also offered me hotwater and lemon, tea, ginger ale. She was awesome. A great kind person.
The room had only one robe so we had to request another. We were both looking forward to having a hot bath after our long journey, the room didn't have a bath. Other than that is was good. I would have enjoyed some breakfast, a package deal for breakfast for two would have been awesome. It was overpriced for breakfast.
very quiet, room clean, large hallways, quality personal care products,
elevator issues, one working
Awesome lobby Friendly staff Nice pool Great location
Walking 9 flights of stairs or waiting too long for the only 1 working elevator. Guests in room next to us swearing and yelling most of the night. Horrible sleep 2 nights in a row. Very small bathroom for such a "fancy" place Poor value for the money
You would never know the hotel is as old as it is from its beauty and charm. It is always an incredible stay and the staff are always polite and wanting to make your stay specialized for you.
Unfortunately, the jetted tub in the room we stayed in did not work. This was one of the highlights we were looking forward to trying on our romantic evening.
