Location is the best.where ever want to go is center of city. i like the location of hotel.
in the bed duvet smell
The room I booked I did not get. Booked a queen room and ended up getting two doubles. And the parking is awful you can't come and go as you please. You have to keep paying each time u leave. Wasn't to happy
Friendly and informative staff. Valet parking was prompt, polite and professional. The room was extremely clean and well prepared.
The Sunday lunch buffet is really good
The loading of the main enterance
Luxurious hotel, lovely old world christmas decorations. Great service from the front desk and door staff. Room was clean and lovely, but quite small - but then we were on a very good rate - so great value.
Service in the Oak Room was very slow - we just wanted a drink before the theatre and they took a very long time coming!
Loved the location for shopping and entertainment. The room was nice and big and very clean. Felt very safe to walk around alone and even at night there was always security around.
Did not like that wifi was at a cost not included. And the toilet in the bathroom was very close to the heater so could easily burn leg if not careful.
This is a very comfortable hotel right in the heart of Calgary. You can just about get to whatever venue you need through the plus 15 system. And others are only steps away. The staff are invariably helpful and pleasant, the rooms are clean, well maintained and well appointed.
Some of the hotel information was a little confusing- we found the provided information about the restaurants and menu options to be unclear.
The hotel is located in downtown area. lots of shopping area is accessible by foot. hotel staff are friendly and helpful. hotel facilities are good.
We liked the staff and the personal service we got.
We felt the drink prices were on the high side. On are first night we were not comfortable because our room was hot and the temperature control could not be fixed. At 10:30 pm we were moved to another room that had a smaller bathroom and the room itself was quite a bit smaller.
The room was ready upon arrival. The hotel is very nice and location is excellent.
This is the second time we had to request to be moved due to the location of the room. It was right next to the CP Railway. Impossible to sleep. When moved we were given a queen bed instead of a King. Hot tub was cold.
Location is excellent. Food is great.
Rooms are good but could be updated.
Big rooms, beautiful building.
No free WiFi Not a great location for families.
Beautiful hotel, nice room and comfortable bed.
Valet parking was $30 to have our truck parked in an alley as it was too big to park under cover. Ridiculous if you ask me....
The staff are excellent & accommodating. Remodeled recently.
The hotel is very historic and very old = small rooms.
Everything was perfect. Beautiful hotel, especially for the price.
Romm was a little small.
Old style, nice and comfy - room is good and clean (as expected).
My room (3rd level) had direct vision on (a) noisy train tracks from 4am, until 11pm; and (b) a dull grey parking. Also, it is not frequent to have to pay Wi-Fi access in modern hotels. My meeting was at Marriott were I had free access (as a guest). For this last reason I would not recommend Fairmount Calgary for academic staff.
enjoyed seeing the restoration of this 100 year old hotel to stay in a grand railway hotel with turn of the century charm. Staff very welcoming and pleasant. My room was refurbished although I understand not all are.
noisy hotel doors clicking closed in the early morning hours interrupted a nice slumber.
The Palliser is elegant, quiet, beautiful and the service is fantastic.
Central Location Good atmosphere Friendly staff Excellent Service
Nice, comfy, clean and good value for money compared to others options in the heart of Calgary downtown. Staff were great and it was really enjoyable experience.
central location very nice room
rooms were too warm had to use air conditioning in October
staff very firendly
bed was too soft
Bed, entertainment, staff, food
The bill was confusing
Super comfy beds Great location Easy valet Gorgeous hotel Great Staff
Despite signs everywhere, the pool/hot tub area was super noisy with kids and adults screaming, jumping and splashing everywhere. Not what I expected for this hotel but from a Super 8 or something.
Lobby and building are gorgeous. Staff are excellent and very helpful.
Cost of food and services are ridiculous. 8 dollars for a bottle of warm Evian water? 14 dollars for wifi internet? Hell if a super 8 can afford to provide free internet and a continental breakfast but a 5 star hotel can't? Kind of ridiculous if you ask me. If you get a cheap room it's worth it for the experience but otherwise stay elsewhere for a decent value.
