The Aircon Didn't Work Or Two Power Points
Great location, lots of amenities and restaurants close. Big park close with lots of trails to meander around. Kitchenette in the room.
Rooms need some updating. Parking was tight. The electrical sockets were in rough shape, nearly unusable.
Big family room
Mold on ceiling. Used condom on ground parking lot
Motel is unsafe , smell smoking, toilet is leaking, no shampoo no hair dryer..,no convenience at all, price is expensive compare with other....
Pretty run down. Air conditioning didn't work. Noisy location. Generally old and run-down.
Rooms are large - really big!
The hotel feels really run down and our room badly needed a makeover: damp in the bathroom, cardboard fixed over tiles, wallpaper peeling off, old bedcovers, and worst of all, the room smelt of urine. Bizarrely, though it had a kitchenette and 3 double beds, the room had only one mug, no cutlery and no kettle / coffee machine or tea / coffee. If the hotel was decorated and clean then it could be a good option, but in its current state then I'd suggest looking elsewhere
Relly nice pictures on the walls.
Fairly noisy, traffic!
-it was a place to sleep, -wi-fi was available, -the clerk, Steven, (bless his heart) was able to find some shampoo that was likely someone else's, he also helped to carry my things up and back down the stairs so I could navigate them (I'm disabled), -the Art Deco light fixtures and dining table, which I think is original to the building, -it had free underground parking,
-was on the second floor, above the "smoking" rooms-Heaven help me if they started a fire below me! -no elevator for those disabled, -the only way to lock the door, was a turn knob that staff have a key for, the chain was removed but left the slide there, the bar to move over a latch was removed. So much for feeling safe/secure should someone try to get in while I was away or asleep, -in addition to having cash to pay for the night, I was charged another $100 as "security deposit" before I could see the room with a promise I'd get it refunded as long as I didn't cause damage or steal anything, -I took pictures and videos of the room and its condition immediately to protect myself from false claims of damage showing: the lack of locking mechanisms on the door, the missing drawer of the kitchenette shelves, the broken refrigerator handle, the missing shelves in the refrigerator, the lack of ice cube tray, the refrigerator extension cord that was lead from the refrigerator cord across a walkspace and under the bed and plugged in across the room (a tripping hazard), the refrigerator didn't even work! if I'd used the kitchenette, there was no dishwashing soap or towels to dry the cookware, plates, etc, -I didn't even try to use the oven/range. It probably wouldn't have worked either. There was only a tea kettle and a fry pan. No toaster either, -the table lamp was missing the switch to turn it on or off and had to have the cord plugged in or out to turn it on or off, -the microwave, if it worked, shared the power outlet with the lamp, -the bathtub was narrow and lacked any non-slip strips or rubber mat and the sides curved up in a way I almost slipped and fell twice but caught myself, -there was no complimentary soap or shampoo.
needs a lot of work things were broken in the rooms non working appliances like air conditioner micro wave in the original room I was in drawers were broken lots of flies in the room by the air conditioner thus why I moved to another room this motel needs a lot of TLC It would be a great place to stay
equipment a bit aged
not properly manage and not standard clean room and beddings are not in good shape stain.dirty.
Price and location were okay, good off street parking
Worn and shabby, in room fridge was broken, temp controls were backwards on the shower, leading to confusion.
The service was good especially Tyson and Bindhi.
Strong smell of Drugs and cigaretts. I know for sure your hotel does meet Building Requirements. My suggestion is to store all your belongings in storage and rebuild the entire building. Call me back when its complete. I'll come to stay. You should join venture with a Developer and go 50% 50%. All the best. Grace Somasundram
Location is across town from where we spent most of our time, cigarette burn holes in sheets, no extra shampoo/conditioner, room air conditioner very dirty..
We had nosebleeds and some blood on some of the stuff I tried to charge for
No made service whole time we were there
Can smelled pot smoking in the Room 112, maybe some guests is smoking it. Smelled terribe!!!!
The staff was super friendly and accommodating and the location was great.
It DOES NOT look like the pictures. It's an okay motel but if you're expecting that then move on.
This is third class hotel. I do not know why they charged me and why the booking was non refundable when entire hotel was empty when we checked in. Nothing was working in the rooms. There are mosquitoes in the room and at the entrance which make your stay miserable. I want booking.com to refund my money.
Need upgrade even for the very basic maintenance of a ventilation fan. No room is equiped with a workable vent fan !
The staff are awesome here! The rooms all have kitchenettes and all the dishes pots and pans, fridge and even toasters!! The location is really good, if you go to the left theres metrotown, and to the right is downtown Vancouver. There was lots of closet space for our bags and anything that we needed the staff was happy to help with. The rates are always way lower than anywhere else. When we are in Vancouver, Palms is our choice. Really wonderful experience.
Close to the sky train and bus.
Not worth the price to stay because the room is not clean - towels in bathroom had black and brownish-yellow stains, pillows had hairs on them, blankets had stains and holes. Poor comfort and difficult to sleep as walls are very thin you can hear people in other rooms, and the bed is hard.
Room had a kitchenette
Was not given a key to my room. Had to ask the front desk person to open and close the room door for me. Made me feel uncomfortable and inconvenient. Layout of the room was akward. The bed was in front of a door that connected to another room.
too run down and need to refurbish
