Location, great neighbourhood, fun place Room #2 was really warm at night and the windows were screwed shut (is that even ok? Or a hazard that the fire department would gripe about) totally needs a/c for the summer

Good location for us. Very good value. Staff rude and inattentive. But it's expected in Montreal.

Friendly people, helpful patrons ,comfortable basic rooms meant for being a base of adventure as opposed to a place to spend the afternoon ( unless you were clubbing all night : )

Having once lived in Montreal, I have spent many memorable nights seeing my favorite bands play at the Casa del Popolo & La Sala Rossa. Years after I moved from the city, I was delighted to learn about Pensione Popolo. Not only are the rooms completely affordable, guests also get free access to shows at Casa downstairs. As a performer and supporter of the arts, it's especially nice to know that the money spent on my room cycles back into such a vital part of the city's creative community. Definitely recommended for musicians, indie folks, and other creative types!

It was at least clean... When we arrived, there was anyone to welcome us. We came into the bar besides the building where an unfriendly waitress gave us an enveloppe that was ready for us with key and code's room (that did not work at all...) We entered into a mouldy corridor, crossed an industrial kitchen before entering into our room. Beds are not comfortable and we could feel springs' mattress.

We love the neighbourhood around the hotel They didn't change our sheets, there was no soap for the shower, we got two cups for two days and no one brought us fresh sheets/towels/mugs on the second day.

Un endroit arty et surprenant, pour ceux qui aiment profiter de la vie nocturne. C'est propre et on y dort bien. Allergiques à l'esprit "pension" s'abstenir.

The room was quite nice, but the noise was a huge distraction - the club downstairs had people talking loudly until all hours. Other than that it was fine

I liked that the Pensione is right in the heart of the Mile End. Such a great neighborhood and so much to do. Plus you get a free ticket to see a show downstairs at Casa del Popolo. It's also right across the street from La Sala Rosa, which always has great shows. When the wifi wasn't working, one of the girls behind the bar at Casa helped me out. Great staff.

La pension est juste à côté d'un café concert. Ceux qui le veulent ont la gratuité pour les concerts, les autres ont du bruit jusqu'à 3h du matin. Pension assez éloignée du métro.Toilettes et sdb sur le pallier.
