Very friendly people. The sheep farm and wool store and lavender farm were the best.
Town decided to clean a septic area in front of a restaurant at lunch time! STINKY and LOUD.
Ate at Harbour House Ales and Spirits.. save your money.
Nook and Cranny delicious.

We stayed for one night and arrived late but we were welcomed and we could visit the other bedrooms to chose the best for us. They asked us what time we wanted to have breakfast. They made recommendations for the restaurants.

I love Pictou!
I love Pictou! There are great places to eat, a marvellous place on Front Street to buy pottery and other beautiful things. Love to walk along the trail by the harbour (pictures of two herons on Wednesday)and explore the small business and chat with the VERY friendly people. You get to feel at home in Pictou very quickly.

Beautiful town; I had a delightful sunrise yoga/prayer session by the ocean side and met some locals as well. How fantastic of a place. I truly hope you take time to stay here. It is close to Cape Breton Island and a ferry away from PEI. A gem of a place. I will be back, hopefully.

Pictou is a beautiful little town with some nice historic sites, waterfront dining and some cool little shops. Unfortunately it seems that many Food & beverage places have closed permanently over the past couple of years, perhaps due to the closure of the Pulp & Paper Mill and/or the pandemic. But the huge plus is that the air no longer carries a toxic odour.

Pictou is a picturesque town with friendly people.
Pictou is a picturesque town with friendly people. Great beaches nearby and wonderful ocean views. Only place I have ever been where a juvenile Bald Eagle, sitting on a post, was comfortable enough to let us and others get close for a photo op....pretty amazing.....
All around wonderful. The owners truly go above and beyond for guests. They were very accommodating with making a separate meal for our young daughter. The breakfast (french toast and eggs Benedict) was cooked from scratch and absolutely delicious. The inn itself is beautifully appointed and the rooms are spacious and bright. Walking distance to the center of Pictou. Highly recommend! The best bed and breakfast we have yet to stay at.
Hotel is full of character
Rooms well appointed and very clean.
The highlight was our hosts, who were exceptional. Sandy and Cathy greeted us warmly and invited us for a glass of wine and a chat to get to know them and other guests. Sandy gave a recommendation for dinner and made the reservation for us. Breakfast was excellent with home cooked croissants and local blueberries being the stars. We would recommend to anyone.
I LOVED the bed; it was so comfortable and one of the best sleeps I've had in a very long time. The breakfast was delicious and the home made granola was the best granola I've ever tasted. There were several areas throughout the property allowed for relaxation or to be social. I did not spend a lot of time within the property as I was in town for an event. The owners and the staff were lovely and very friendly.
We loved staying at this historic home in Pictou! Our hosts were very attentive and charming! We loved a bountiful breakfast served in a very quaint front room. We also enjoyed the parlor for socializing and resting. The home is so close to the Hector Heritage Quay (museum), the waterfront, some excellent restaurants and a lively entertainment tent (set up for the summer tourist season). Highly recommend!
The dining room has spectacular views, and tables are positioned to enjoy them. The log cabin lodge is beautiful and spacious, reminiscent of U.S national park lodges. Adirondack chairs on the bluffs overlooking the ocean provide scenic and private seatings. The landscaping is also very nicely done. Excellent value for a unique property.
Dining room was closed but Manager provided me with muffins and a banana to eat and a coffee machine in the room for my early departure on a ferry. I left a book there but was able to retrieve it two days later when I circled back through that town. Microwave available in public area so could heat up my own dinner.
Beautiful B&B, centrally located within walking distance of waterfront sites and restaurants. Brenda and George were great hosts who went out of their way to make us welcome and comfortable. Breakfast was unbelievable, with so much homemade or homegrown! Definitely recommend if you are staying in Pictou!
It was the cheapest with decent reviews for Pictou and they let us check in an hour early. Also the room especially the updated bathroom seemed very clean. TV was good and the bed was very comfortable. It had a microwave and a mini fridge in the room and a nice little closet with hangers.
The gentleman at the desk was amazing. He definitely goes above and beyond his job. Thank you so much for making me feel welcome. The room was very clean and the kitchen area had everything you could possibly need. Bathroom was spotless as well . Ice cold AC :) Great stay !
very cozy building. Lots of attention to detail in the decoration, to little items in the washroom like a loofa, mouthwash, shampoo, and body wash. The common area was very cozy and comfortable with reading material, information about the area
The suite was bright, very spacious and well appointed. It had a nice balcony with an ocean view, plus a full kitchen, comfortable living and dining areas with a large screen TV and a great view. Good wifi, lots of large windows and comfy beds.
Everything about Seabank House was wonderful. The owners are delightful and knowledgeable about the area. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
Great location in Pictou . The room was utterly amazing with a really comfortable bed . Guaranteed to have a great night's sleep . Breakfast was excellent with as much coffee as you wanted . A fantastic night's stay .
The owners are very nice and gave us some great pointers for where to eat etc. Brenda even made a reservation for us at the Pictou Lodge which was fantastic.
Location great. Walking distance to restaurants. It was Pictous 150 th anniversary so there were music and shops close by. All within walking distance.
