It was quaint and quiet. Retreat like if that was what your are looking for. Nice area for a walk. Close enough to the Town of Jasper you could walk into town. Minimal amenities.
We found it to be very minimal, the room was bare no frills . We couldnt find a hot tub or jacuzzion the premises. For our purposes we were not impressed. We were in a room not a cabin. In our opinion the grounds were rough. It was not eye appealing.
Lovely setting. Clean and environmentally well set up.
Twin beds, lol
Peace and quiet
Check in staff was unwilling to rent us a cabin which is what we thought we had reserved. Austerely furnished everything to the bare minimum, poor towels
We found it very comfortable and we slept very well and yes we would stay there again thanks again
My husband and I were just passing through and needed to spend the night somewhere. We were disappointed after a long day on the road that there were no televisions in the rooms and iffy wifi! We really just wanted to veg after a long drive. When it gets dark early there is nothing to do! Nothing! Unless you drive into Jasper and we didn't want to be out and about! We knew there was no restaurant but were not prepared for no tv! On the upside it meant the hotel style room we stayed in was VERY quiet! Had a pretty good sleep!
The location on the edge of town and in the woods was great. It was a bonus to see the elks in the driveway!
The cabins are in a good location, close to Jasper and close to the river. The whole park is a bit new, depending on the cabin you'll be in the open, we had luck and were surrounded by some trees. The BBQ was fine for grilling and cooking (with some improvisation). Beds and bathroom were fine. Altogether everything was just as it should be. In a couple of years it will probably be a bit less 'new and empty'
All was fine.
Rustic setting, friendly, helpful staff and close enough to centre of town. Good that no TV or internet in cabin, but wifi available on site. Well situated for car travel to experience the beautiful surrounding area.
Loved the river and elk.
No Resturant near the cabins.
The staff were very helpful and resolved an issue we had to our entire satisfaction. The location of our cabin facing the river was perfect. The beds were very comfortable and the facilities good.
The appearance of a mouse trap on our second day. The sight of a large insect disappearing down behind the toilet roll holder. No TV or wifi facilities.
The room was attractive with the pine wall covering. It is always good to have one good comfortable chair - recliner maybe - didn't have.
They have gone to far in removing modern conveniences. Vacation is one time you can enjoy some TV; little else to do at this location in the evenings. No phone - not even access to front desk. It's ok somewhat to get back to nature but this is just cutting expenses; and at a pretty expensive place. Should have one location in room with good reading light - near comfortable chair - didn't have.
Loved the rural setting, but proximity to Jasper. Elk wandering between the cabins was a bonus!
It was clean and off the beaten path, but not so far as to be inconvieniant.
I wished there was a tv in my room.
Near to jasper
Park was untidy Bungalow was very 70's old and tired
The grounds were pleasant and woodsy, and cabin 49 was very roomy and clean. Beds were comfortable.
The pillows weren't firm enough for my taste, and it would have been nice if there was restaurant on site, for breakfast at least.
The location was good. Five minute drive to town. No facilities at site. We met another couple and saw their cabin which was only one room with the bed in it and some comfy furniture and a fireplace. It was cozy looking. Don't know how you get the nicer ones.
Cabin not cozy. There was one br with twin beds and an open area with queen. There was a dining table in the kitchen area but no soft chairs to sit. Kitchen tiny and old. We didn't cook though.
Location was great and the accommodation was comfortable and clean
Very clean and comfortable bed
Would like to have used the kitchen area in unit area
No microwave in unit or toaster
Loved to quiet location beside the Athabasca river and the cosy log cabins. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would have loved to have stayed longer.
Had a mouse in our room but found this not unexpected due to the rural, forested setting. Staff were very helpful in providing mouse traps etc
Location, however there is a lot of traffic and train noise. 2 bedroom cabins are a good size.
Mould in the bathroom, lifting vinyl with mould growing around it in the bathroom, stained face clothes, lifting wooden floor strip in the kitchen, large stove hot plate non-functioning, dirty dining room chairs, dirty outdoor setting, drab decor, uninviting barbecue area, pillows need replacing, no small plates, chairs facing the river are all falling over at odd angles, see through curtains. This facility confuses eco-friendly with poor maintenance. At $200 plus per night it is poor value.
Nice location between trees and by the lake. Pretty close to the center I believe the small cottages and the newly restored houses are fine. Private barbeque and deck.
Our house (for 4 persons) were extremely outdated No wifi Poor lighting in the house Noise from the heater and the Hwy
Dirty, no phones, no tvs, wifi didn't work, no microwave, very poor lighting, ceiling fan in bathroom but no way to turn it on, lights flickered when turned on. Tripping hazards everywhere with drai. Pipes, et .
Beautiful setting in the forest. There is no tv and the room is lightly decorated. It is like camping with a roof over your head and a fridge. Close to nature and a rustic feel. If you are looking for luxury and amenities, the national park is nt for you. After all it is all about nature. We loved it.
A little sparse on pillows, bring an extra or ask for an extra.
