Score from 48 reviews Very good
Newly renovated Clean, crisp decor
Stairs to rooms Restaurant closed the day we came (they did notify us as soon as we made the reservation)
Sparse but very comfortable. But really, this is a place to sleep and be out and about enjoying nature, not hanging out in a room.
Staff is great
The staff was very friendly and helpful when they were there.
It was difficult to get help with issues unless staff were available. Staff was not always available.
The staff was very good, they were able to book the room for me on the second night's stay, because my friend took sick and could not make it. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean.
I did not like the stairs .If my friend came(she uses a cane and walker) she would have never been able to get up the stairs.I should have said something back in May when I booked.Three other rooms of people I knew were on the main floor. We did not need a king bed. I did not like the idea of no phone in the room.
great lodge I would stay again the staff were friendly and very accommodating
I was there for a triathlon. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and accommodate my race needs (early morning pot of coffee, etc.). It is a charming, historic place which has been nicely updated.
comfortable bed, friendly staff, good location
Only one chair in the room making it difficult for two people to sit and read.
Loved the quiet location, a bit off the beaten track, and the more intimate size of the Inn. The rustic feeling (pine paneled, high-ceilinged room) with a refined edge (tasteful reno) is lovely, and the bed was comfortable. The Inn's simple focus is refreshing without a million bells and whistles. Coffee appreciated, as were the driving instructions. Thank you!
We were disappointed by the greenwashed bath products ('Eco' packaging but made-in-China and pretty toxic). For the price point of this Inn, something a bit better (if not all-natural and preferably [cost permitting] Canadian-made) would go a long way to having guests feel pampered, especially since this is a 'lean' experience kind of Inn without amenities. And a box of kleenex please?
The location near the lake was pleasant and the room was comfortable and clean. The staff worked hard to make the stay pleasant.
The room was dark at the rear of the hotel and we were asked to pay in full on arrival. Not an ideal hotel for an extended stay.
Liked the comfort of rooms. Innkeeper was very friendly and helpful. Very nice small Inn. We were only there for one night on a Monday so their restaurant was closed. I hear it is great but we can't comment on it. Not located directly on the lake but no more than a 3-5 minute walk away.
Very comfortable bed and and lovely clean bathroom and towels. Balcony with chairs and flower box. Next time we will have dinner in cozy room.
The decor was really well done and the beds were very comfortable. It was also the perfect location for us, and the owners were friendly and helpful hosts.
It was a nice place secluded by pine trees the room was nice and big. Restaraunt was very cozy.
The room we stayed in had no coffee maker, no fridge. The bed was to soft, they had a duvet on the bed in the middle of the summer. No air conditioning. the plumbing was questionable.
Lemon poppyseed muffins for breakfast. Friendly & accommodating staff
Although we had to wait for our room, the staff helped to make us comfortable
The rooms were clean and they have been updated recently. The on site restaurant offered some good choices on their menu using local foods and everything tasted great. The signature burgers and salads were especially good.
The Wi-Fi was nearly unusable. The signal didn't reach to our room and we had to go outside near the lobby to use the Wi-Fi.
wet towels not replaced....garbage cans not emptied....beds not made.....no internet connection in room, too far away...loose toilet seat....door to outside never worked properly.....for this it was way over priced......we will NEVER go back to this place....no matter what price you pay the room should have been buffed up between our 2 nights
It was cozy, and friendly. The kitchen is good. There are space inside and outside to enjoy a good book, and even even a fire.
Excellent service, food, staff
Lack of chest of drawers to store clothes
I was told balconyfaced mountain, it was literally in our face. The chairs were Steele and uncomfortable
wonderful owners and staff fantastic food beautiful surroundings
isolated town/ location
The Pinelodge Inn has a vintage feel with a modern touch. Despite being around since the 1920 ' s, recent renovations, coupled with quick Internet access, makes you feel like you've gone back in time without leaving the present day. The comfortable King size bed, within its clean accomodations, make this the perfect home base for tourists, as key locations are only short drives away. I can't enough positive things about the ownership/staff, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and satisfied.
Room was good size and very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.
No breakfast available. Internet in the room was not working well. F&B was a little pricey.
everything is updated clean friendly restaurant on location bed was comfortable tv was great wifi was great
Lack of hot water for shower it would be great to have a small bar fridge
The rooms were clean, and the location was awesome. We arrived late but got to leave a little later too.
They gave no complimentary breakfast and thus was sent down the road with our little one for a breakfast too expansive for what it was. The host said "I could grab you a small cereal box"….then went to the tv to switch to the football game. He never did get our son anything. The only offer was coffee, unfortunately, and when we read the food was good we looked forward to that, but he only serves dinner. sour stay included no food, and the price was too high without offering even orange juice.
