the owner was friendly and helpful, the location was close to beach and peaceful for sleep. the hotel was very clean.
no hairdryer, Wi-Fi was poor, hard to connect and when you did connect it would keep going off. air conditioner was old and noisy.
When we required extra stuff we just asked and we received it. Friendly fellow at front desk.
As Highway 97 was close by it was quite noisy for sleeping. Air conditioning was too loud so we kept windows open. Blinds on windows were quite dirty (in bad need of washing).
the bed was soft and comfy
It was quite small
friendly people had everything I needed in room but a microwave.
pool very cold
Décor was not 'fancy & new' - it was like a 'mom n' pop' place, not hotel chain; the whole atmosphere was a bit retro (could be negative if you were looking for a property that had modern upgrades) Never had a chance to get in the pool; but looked good!
Atop the hill with great views
Some outside neighbours
Good fruit stand and restaurant called granny's up the hill checked in 12 am owner was sleeping but got the room about 40 to 50 a night less than penticton ,ac was a bit noisy but it sufficed fir 2 nights .
the location is about all, and it was a good view.
pillows were like pancakes, I booked a room with 2 queen beds and when we got there we got one double bed. The room was so small, that two people could not walk in one spot at at a time. TV was up high and old style which was small and hard to see. Pool said it was heated and was as cold as ice. Would not recommend or stay here again.
Full kitchen, separate bedroom. Comfy.
A bit noisy if windows open..but good window air conditining.
I agree with Rosalle, the rooms are very cramped, we spent over an hour trying to get the blind down for a little privacy, if they are concerned about water conservation they should repair the leaky taps. When we returned to our room the following day our beds were not made, the floor mat had been changed because I put it on the floor of the shower because it was soaked.
It was in Summerland
The room was not as described two beds and a sofa. I paid extra for my nephew to stay but there where no rollaway cots. The manager gave us a dirty piece of foam for him to sleep on - really gross.
We liked the greenery around the building... The view was good. Towel service was good, owner was accocomodating.
I thought most appliances and layout, dishes, were kinda at a minimum standard. No real pampering at all, including soaps and shampoo.
It was very clean.
The area was creepy with rvs that has tarps set up all around them reminding me of a shanty town. Wouldn't want to have kids here! The rooms were so small you could barely move around. Good luck getting the room cleaned if booked for more than one night. Wasn't very expensive but the pictures don't justify the area. They look much nicer than what it really is. Also there are trailers in the RV part that are clearly falling apart and the occupants are less than desirable.
The air conditioner was old and very noisy. I had to climb on a chair to reach the controls. I payed $125,00 for this room and it was probably worth $30.00. There was no bedside lamp, if you wanted to read you had to get out of bed and walk to thd door to put out the everhead lamp. The motel is called Pleasant View, my room looked out over a used car lot. The pillows were lumpy and the towels were new but very cheap and thin. The motel was very old and not much has been done in the way of renovations. It was a very depressing place.
The person at the desk was very rude, a huge turn off! The Motel is run down and majorly seedy. Late at night we had a big family noisily put up tents, using an loud air pump, talking loudly and slamming their van door, right outside our bedroom window!
Location, Location, Location
We drove for over 4.5 hours in the middle of Okanagan summer ( +29.0 C) hoping to jump to the pool which should be open on July 02. No such lack. The pool was closet and water was drained. Facility was vacuumed and dusted a good while ago. Very noisy one of the more permanent guests of this motel ( fanatic of rap music). Place is run down and deteriorating, unpleasant odor from a septic tank or sewer system.
Kinda cozy, if you like older motels. Air conditioning worked. Nice size bathroom in my unit but not in my friends unit. I had 2 queens and a kitchenette. She had one queen and no kitchenette and her room was very, very tiny! Wi-Fi was poor signal but seemed to get the job done.
Not the cleanest motel, only like 6 TV channels. Other people's hair found ever where. Kitchen sink tap had to be beaten to shut it off. Filthy couches outside for people to sit on-Yuck! Only had wine glasses in the kitchen, no actual glasses to drink out of, so we used the wine glasses.
The wifi worked
I was almost scalded in the shower when someone in another room flushed thier toilet. No one from housekeeping was in my room the 2 days I was there. The pool was closed. The coffee pot didn't work. I had been traveling for 2 weeks. This was the worst room of the entire trip.
room was filthy looked like it was never dusted
Great views of orchards, mountains and okanagan lake from our 2br suite. Was very clean and comfortable. Kitchenette was good too.
easy to find - right on the highway, but far enough up and back that the road noise was not a problem
despite getting manager to show me how to work the shower, I could not get a decent hot shower.
Room had microwave, bar fridge, and coffee maker.
Queen size bed was much too large for the room size - a double would be much more suitable. Could have better arrangement of amenities and inclusion of hair dryer.
I was booked at one price. When I arrived the staff showed me the "econo" room at that price and then a different room at $10 more per night. The econo room was terrible!!! so I paid the additional $. They charged me the full price quoted, including tax, when I booked thru booking.com and added the extra $10 per night to this original price then charged tax on tax. The sale price appears to be just a way to get a person to book then you are upgraded when you get there so they were back up to original rate. Would never stay here again.
Good value for the money.
No daily room service.
Clean, quiet, friendly and super cheap. Perfect location for touring wineries.
For the money we paid, there really was not a lot to complain about.
