We had not made a reservation but went to the restaurant at about 730 once night to see if a table for 2 was available. The maitre d' was unnecessarily short and rude, something along the lines of 'I have guests who DO have reservations to see to. Please wait'... we were totally put off and ended up going to the pub which was much more enjoyable. We wouldn't have minded if the response had been a 'I'm sorry, we're actually fully booked this evening', but the tone just made it sound like he didn't like the look of us. I'd say it was a little pricey (like everything in Lake Louise) for what it was, much as it was a nice hotel - it wasn't outstanding or exceptional, just very nice and very comfortable.
Comfortable bed, the pub-style restaurant on site was perfect for a couple of quick and tasty evening meals. Concierge was friendly.
