Facilty is showing its age. Needs to be updated.
Location, nice pool, great value.
Air conditioner is noisy.
Pool was closed. No air conditioning. Kinda grungy.
Breakfast was not included. Would have been nice to have a continental breakfast before our day of rafting!
Just quick overnighter on way to somewhere else . Front desk very nice and place clean. We forgot our pillows and she called to remind us just in time!
Hotel had a pool and the room looked similar to picture used to advertise the property.
The hotel had a plumbing issue and informed us not to use the water. Once it was repaired we did not get notified the plumbing was usable. We woke up and when we tried to shower there was no hot water. Room has no phone to call to main desk/operator to report problem. Also the room A/C (wall mounted window unit) leaked water back into the room while running. The trim around the unit was blistered and swollen and we had water running down the wall.No wonder the room had a funky smell... a mould trap for sure!
room not made up......for ur price we usually get breakfast even hot one
Great staff, very accomodating
The daytime staff was friendly and recommended places to eat and providing us with a guide. It was nice to sit on the patio and enjoy our breakfast.
It was a basic lodging and the price was higher than others that included breakfast.
We were happy with our stay -- it was quiet, clean and well-located. The woman at the front-desk was friendly and gave us good recommendations for food/drink and a nearby walk.
Nothing worthwhile -- overall we really enjoyed the stay. Considering it wasn't full we would have liked to have stayed further away from the stairs but that is a small quibble. The lack of breakfast (or the extent of guests' access to the kitchen off the reception area) could be better communicated.
Location very good, we missed the breakfast, but it smelled very good.
great family owned business
Good price, friendly staff, our room had a sweet view of Fernie Alpine Resort.
Could not get the Wi-Fi to work. A little bit confusing when trying to find our room after we checked in. Did not realize that you cannot enter from behind the building, which was very dark, as we checked in later in the evening.
Friendly staff; great location - ski bus outside door and only a few blocks from town; spacious, well equipped kitchen; great hot tub; everything you need for a friendly holiday in Fernie.
Great common area and room was clean and tidy.
The room was filled with a horrible gas smell due to the gas heater in the room, even when it was turned off. I stayed 3 nights and suffered headaches and dizziness. The staff gave me an electric heater to keep the room warm, but did nothing to address the obvious gas leak.
staff very helpful and nice to have that hot tub after skiing
the hostil behind has a lot of kids, drag racing their cars, lots of noise in the night
that there was a fridge in room.
hot tub small no hairblower
Soaking in the hot tub after a day of ski and its convenient location to downtown nightlife
The staff seems nice
an aging hotel that needs to be bulldozed and replaced by a modern structure.
The beds and pillows were 10 times better than the Fairmont I stayed in the week before!
The room was so hot when we got it, the temp was set at 30, we had to leave the door open to cool it down.
The lady at the desk was very helpful and hospitable.
It was very cold while I was there and I wanted to plug my car's block heater in but none of the plug ins along the back of the building worked.
Totally overpriced; this is not a lodge but a cheap motel. Very thin walls, noisy heating and a completely loose sink faucet. Housekeeping was a no-show, room was not cleaned.
Good value, helpful and friendly staff. I'd stay again.
i liked how it was clode to our venue and that there was a fridge in the room, i was not expecting that
the bathroom was very dirty, the toilet was dirty and the shower was filthy
