Located in Thorold, Ontario, this inn overlooks the 7th lift lock of the Welland Canal. Each room has an outdoor seating area with a view of the lock.

Great location lots of great little boutiques and restaurants you must do the jet boat tour, so much fun......make sure you wear your swimsuit you will get soaked.
A bit pricey
Nice hotel in a nice town, little more for older people then for youngsters.
Amazing staff, charming and elegant lobby, great location.
Older interior had 'stale' smell in hallways
Everything was pristine, beautiful and focused on the comfort and luxurious pleasure of the guest. Every request was honored graciously. I have never felt so relaxed and pampered in my life, and I didn't even visit the spa! I will definitely return to the Prince of Wales Hotel every time I come to Niagara on the Lake.
There was nothing that did not please me at the hotel.
A very classical, almost Victorian hotel with ample, well trained staff and superb location in a charming summer-theatre town
We didn't dislike anything. The hotel is, however, seriously expensive -- not compared to the 5-6 major cities in the world, but compared to leisure hotels in pretty towns. It's good, but not excellent, value for money (in our opinion).
Everything was beyond expectations.
One minor issue - perhaps more Keurig cups could be left in the room (this avoids having to go to the front desk to get more) & if some fresh creamers or milk could be left in the fridge.
Great location and easy to park. Beautiful hotel.
location - a minute walk to any of Shaw's theatres rooms - amenities, comfort, size charming bar with outdoor seating
gorgeous building, each room decorated differently, perfect location
food not very good, overpriced
The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful.
Beautiful property with excellent amenities. Staff went above and beyond to assist in every way. Location great. Will definitely look for Prince of Wales properties for future travels. Niagara-on-the-Lake is a beautiful town with very friendly people. If you are looking for a relaxed setting, this is the place. It is only 20 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Niagara Falls. Would definitely return.
The suite was beautiful and very comfortable. The bed itself was exceptional.
The young woman at reception was rather rude and indifferent. For this money I expect to be fawned over with every staff encounter.
Location was perfect. Hotel was very quiet. The staff was very friendly.
very nice property with central location
air conditioning was a window unit that was very noisy. One would not expect this in such a high quality hotel at $400+ a night. It rattled and was loud
See above, overall very pleasant experience.Compares well with continental hotels ( recently visited Sacher Hotel in Saltzburg,Austria).
The only unpleasant wxperience was in the bar on the night of 9.July,where we stopped for a night cup after an exceptionl theater experience. The staff ( a man and a young lady) were not at par with the other restaurnat /hotel staff.Just the oposit.
Staff very friendly, helpful, makes you feel at home.
Free shuttle, lovely rooms, good bar, great staff
Room was below ground level so lighting wasn't great - made the room feel a little gloomy because we couldn't really have the drapes open (as people walking by on the street could see in).
The Prince of Wales Hotel is very elegant. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It is centrally located, near all the shops and restaurants. The shuttle service was very useful, as one can use all the facilities at the other Vintage Hotels and not have to bother with other transportation.
The Hotel is a bit pricey, but one does get many conveniences.
Everyone was friendly, courteous, and helpful.
Breakfast buffet was horrible. The carafes were empty and what food was inside was cold. Told our waitress who managed to get the carafes replenished.
Location. Ambiance. Staff was very friendly.
Older hotel with some quirks.
we had a superior room; but it was fairly dark. Day 1 had the breakfast buffet; but food was luke warm. Didn't eat there again due to that experience.
Location, room, cleanliness, staff
Breakfast buffet was weak, TV in room was broken and couldn't be fixed (we had 2 TVs )
The meal at escabeche was not the fine dining I expected
