    OK location

Bathroom definitely was not clean, room had an awful smell, TV did not function properly, no garbage can in room and horrible bedding.

I like it's location to the downtown core of Hay River. Its prices are reasonable.

They have renovated their restaurant and I found neither the atmosphere nor the new menu very family friendly. It is a nice renovation for a dining room, but not for a family dining experience.

    Very nice restaurant

Rooms haven't changed much in 30 years. Poor paint job in rooms.

Were kept up all night by partiers. Called the desk at around 0300 to ask if they were going to allow the party and fights to last all night. They called RCMP. Awful night. My 14 year was scarred and crying. When complained about in the morning they said yeah that happens. :( wont stay unless as a last resort.

I liked the location to the downtown core. I liked the new restaurant makeover. I forgot my pillow and the desk clerk made sure it was put aside so my friend could pick it up.

My room was too warm even with the air conditioner. When I opened the window the room cooled off nicely, but at 5:30 all the vehicles leaving woke me up. There was no reception on the TV. My hash browns at breakfast were not cooked and the waitress didn't bother to care. The downstairs room for the big Trade Show dinner needs air conditioning desperately.

From the looks of it and the internet reviews this was the only more than half-decent lodging in town. While the hotel is not new, efforts were being made to keep it up to date, and the wi-fi was reliable. It is centrally located and within walking distance of shops and restaurants.

It was more expensive than other hotels of the same quality, but that was likely due to its being in a small town in the far north of Canada and a short tourist season. That being said, I would recommend it given the appearance and comments for the other hotels in town.

Downtown location is great with almost everything within a short walking distance. Great restaurants and shopping nearby too!

Hotel was undergoing renovations at the time. No doubt, it will look great once it's complete.

Close to Hay River Airport - about 5 minutes by taxi.

The hotel did not have a lift and we had to carry heavy cases upstairs. No facility for breakfast for early check-outs. Hotel corridors in particular could benefit from refurbishment. It was not cheap for what it was and was the most expensive of all the hotels booked on our trip presumably due to the slightly remote location.

The outside of the building looks very nice. Although it isn't the greatest hotel in the world it is by far the best there is to offer in the Hay River area.

There are major renovations taking place in the hotel which are long overdue.
