Your beautiful grounds plus taking pets.
We were most impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and also by the cleanliness which was exceptional in all areas.
The unique First Nation art, the lakeside location, the food
Early morning noise heard through room walls from a departing guest group
The quiet and beautiful situation. Close proximity to excellent gholf course. Canoeing in the lake. We enjoyed having an outside door!
The sewrage smell in the hall way on floor 1. It was overwelming. The room smelled like "cat". These were unfortunate because the rest of the stay was so good!
Really liked Talking Rock course. It was in great condition, very pretty. Staff were very accommodating as we had a mix up on our tee times & they got us in earlier.
Food service was excellent for two nights, however we waited 1 1/2 for our meal the third night, and had a baby with us. Not acceptable.
The breakfast is not included but with only 12 cad you can have an amazing buffet. Was delicious! The location is beautiful but far from the centre.
We loved how clean and beautiful the lodge was. We went in the pool twice and both times we had an incredible time. The art around the lodge was so incredible that we would just stand looking at every detail. Gorgeous facility
First time at the lodge and the view, location was great. The gold was just amazing. Ready to book next year's trip. 5 stars from us.
Dinner was a disaster, crab cakes were undercooked and my partners salmon was basically raw. Waited 35 minutes for our main course after we finished the appy.
The lodge is well built, appointed, clean and comfortable. The grounds are beautifully kept and all the room and common furnishings are clean and in good condition. The staff are super friendly and even the guests seem open and willing to strike up a conversation. The lake-front beach catches the evening sun and is a great place to stretch out, catch some rays and enjoy the view.
There was a 5% "First Nations Tax" which was a bit of a surprise.
Excellent location and the facility was beautiful. The restaurant on site was also very good and the staff working in the restaurant were excellent. Overall a beautiful place to stay.
Unfortunately did not have a good experience with checking in, front clerk was argumentative and rude. Once she realized her mistake she did apologize but overall not a good experience.
I have travelled all over the world and this is ons if my new favourite spots. Wondering how many years I've missed out!
The overall ambience and location. The hotel was very quiet on the lake side location
Rooms very very clean and the buffet breakfast was great value
Disappointed that the pool was not working
I liked the golf course
Everything was overpriced for what was being offered. We came on a stay and play deal and no one bothered to tell us there were no tee times after 10 AM. $24 for two specialty coffees!
superb location, staff & food. Used Qaaout lodge as a stop off on our way back to Vancouver after a tour of the Rocky Mountains, only wish we could have stayed longer.
Nice location once we got there
Out of the way from our home
Signal to arrive are very poor'
view, accommodations, golf course (OMG, fantastic), interpretive stroll, staff was incredible (thanks Frank and Karen!). We will be back...only, longer next time!!
Everything. The restaurant is excellent, the lake is ice cold and fantastic! So clean too. The rooms are a bit small but very clean and the beds are very comfortable. Best sleep of my vacation was there. There is a lake view from the terrace on every room. The staff are very welcoming and I think the price we got was a great value. I would stay longer next time as we love the Shuswap area and the golf there is really good according to my husband. Bring lawn chairs if you don't like sitting or laying on sand or the dock (which is new) I enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The steam room is great too. Love the bathrobes!
The steak in the restaurant, but I'm from Alberta so picky about my beef. It was a baseball cut sirloin that had a section of gristle -it was on the menu as a NY strip loin steak. I didn't bother complaining because it was ok and I didn't want to put a damper on a great evening. All other meals there were perfect though.
The room and balcony were very comfortable and clean; the balcony looked over a beautiful scene. The bed was very comfortable and all was very serene and quiet. The waitress at breakfast was very personable.
The menu had elk and venison on it, and I don't eat either. I was just as happy to eat some leftovers we had. It was a pretty setting, but isolated.
Location on the lake is ideal. Beautiful spot.
Very clean facility. Close to highway
restaurant service poor. slow, had to ask several times to add item to order. Room very small not a $150 a night room for sure
View of the valley fantastic
Breakfast buffet overpriced
The food was superb. The staff were wonderful and sympathetic at a difficult time (my children and I came to the Shuswap for my mother's funeral). The lodge was the cleanest facility I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in many 5-star hotels. I wish I could have spent more time here and under happier circumstances.
