Location was great for our visit
A lot of wear and tear in the room, beer caps on the floor from previous guests. The restaurant was way understaffed, dirty tables filled the place...we were the only ones in line to wait for a table and it was going to be a 30 minute wait?!?! Needless to say we didn't stay there to eat.
LOCATION ADN ROOM WERE GREAT
THE COURCH IN THE ROOM IS FROM THE 1900 NEEDS REPLACEMENT
Stayed for a concert. Close to the tunnel.bus to Detroit. Perfect!
Quiet, close to the venue. Spacious.
Room smelled of smoke. Bathroom fan didn't work and needed cleaning. The shower curtain was mounted too far inside the tub. Dead bolt didn't work. The room was supposedly renovated.
Beds very comfortable!
Extremely noisy until 2:00am in the morning!! people in the hallways fighting and careering on. Lot of young people and groups of young ones at this hotel. Last time there for us.
Ice machine wasn't working on our floor.
Suite was well appointed and had plenty of room. Staff on check in was particularly helpful and service was first class. I had informed staff on booking that I expected to arrive very late at night and everything was ready for me booking in took minutes. Very pleased with entire stay.
Decent location and staff were as good as they could be for what they had to work with.
Carpets were horrible in the room and hallways. TV's were broken and old fashion. Air conditioner made a big racket. Very noisy from inside the hotel and on the street's. Party people make a hell of a noise at nights from their rooms and on the street's below.
The suite layout was outstanding. Breakfast in the restaurant was very good.
The couch was very uncomfortable. It was old and sagged. There was a slight air of smoking, though it was a non-smoking room. Tv's could be updated to flat panels.
Shower to tight. They forgot to clean our room just changed the towels.
Were it was the best place for it downtown
The cost was to much and the fee for 3night$ 409.00 to to much
Room needs updated
Layout of the room
Out of date rooms Security kept heckling us to be quite when we were barely loud and no noise complaints were made.
The view from the hotel to the city of Detroit.
Stupid charges they give. The hotel is being redo and I was not notified about it.
Liked being able to have a suite with 2 beds plus a sofabed.
Sofabed was horrible. Could barely open it and could not close it so the second night just slept on the sofa without unfolding it. Had expected 2nd bed to be in the bedroom but it was in the living room, making the actual space available to sit and socialize in that room as a group limited.
Good location nice eating restaurant
Stayed there some time ago back in the 90's same furniture now in need of total Reno looks like they have plans Would not go back till done
Attended national event at Aquatics Centre, 2 minute walk away. Restaurant on premises had sufficient variety to eat and bill to room. A convenience when you're too tired to hunt around for a suitable restaurant.
Allowed smoking on some floors - number of complaints by fellow travelers to same event that smell was noticable. In their defence, rooms were under construction.
wide living area and dinning table.
a bit dusty when heat ventilation works
The rooms are very quiet. I'm a light sleeper but I didn't need to wear my ear plugs! The room was very clean and there was a huge selection of towels. Located right downtown a few blocks from the waterfront. I will stay here again for sure.
The fridge was very small and so was the coffee maker. The TV and decor were dated BUT they are updating the entire interior so those will soon be changed.
Location and Staff
Construction, Bar closes at 10. NOT Civil
Staff was really nice and understand the situation and give us the full refund.
I didn't like the smell in the room 608, because if that I've got a bad allergy reaction and we had to check out and leave the hotel.
quiet, very comfortable, the fridge, my bed was comfortable and clean.
We had 3 rooms, 606, 608 & 610. The bathroom in 610 had water over the floor, maintenance came, dry for awhile and then the water started again. seemed to under sink. very uncomfortable for my daughter and her husband.
Busy location and staff were always attentive, extremely friendly.....
liked it all...
Nice spacious corner suite. One very comfortable bed, the other average. Very friendly and helpful at reception desk.
Fridge had broken door but this was effectively repaired the next morning. Old doritos under fridge, and coffee machine hadn't been cleaned, though beds were beautifully made. Wi-fi came and went.
Bed very comfortable
Parking not ideal
