Studio apartment has a full kitchen and is great if you want to stay longer and make your own meals as opposed to going out all the time. Free Wi-Fi. Exceptional Staff. No elevator. Only stairs. No recycling.

Located right next to Place des Arts with music, dance and theater performance halls, L'Astral with Jazz performances, and several other venues. La Vitrine cultural information center with 1/2 price tickets is across the street. Coffee shops and restaurants abound, Chinatown is a block away, and the gay Village is three blocks to the east. Almost everything else in downtown Montreal (such as the Fine Arts Museum) is no more than 3 metro stations away. Hotel itself seems newly remodeled, with shiny wooden floors and new (and rather stiff) mattresses. Free WiFi in the room. Street noise exacerbated by road repair work was an annoyance, especially in early morning, so ask for a room that does not face the street. Also, there is no gym, no lobby and no elevator (it's a 3-story building); that's probably why it is rated a 2-star hotel.

The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The room was clean on the surface - it was hard to not have an elevator, but the staff carried our bags from the street to the 3rd floor. We did not have reception for the TV on the 3rd floor, but the staff let us view in another room for an important game final.

The location was excellent and the staff could not be more nice or helpful. There are too many stairs especially if you are staying in the old section. The floorboards creak so you can hear people walking around. The old section needs renovating.

Great welcome and support from the staff. The room is clean and well equiped for the price. Localisation is great : 10 - 15 min walk from the Old Montreal, close to the subway, ... : in one word perfect.

The location allows the guests to reach many attractions in lest than 15 minutes. - Staffs were extremely rude and impolite. - The information about the hotel is incomplete intentionally! (i.e the photo of is photoshoped to hide the fact that there is a sex shop next door. - The breakfast was an absolute rubbish! etc

Very clean room and bathroom, also it is possible to turn off or turn on heating. Hotel in the center of downtown. And really not far from bus station (just 1 km). Nearby (in walking distance): Quartier Latin, Bishop Street, Club Soda, Museum of Contemporary Art, basilique notre- dame de montréal, Chinatown, musée des beaux-arts de montréal, tour de la bourse. The subway station in 2 min from the hotel, so easy to reach oratoire saint-joseph du mont-royal, université de montréal, la tour de montréal and île sainte-hélène with his Biosphere. In fact, there is also a lot of striptease bars and sex-shops located on the same street where the hotel :) Minus for those who travels with children, on the other side, seems to me, with children in Montreal there is nothing to do. You can book hotel in other place, but walking around the city also to come across on what - a thread the sex shop with an extravagant show-window :) So, in general, entertainments for all tastes and all is near the hotel :) Also, was pleasant that was possible to leave in the hotel a suitcase for the whole day, and to go for a walk - absolutely free of charge. The room was as studio with kitchen, but the maid didn't wash dishes, but to wash by yourself was unpossible! No sponges, no soap for dishes. There was no shower gel, only a shampoo and body lotion, and soap, of cause. In corridors smells as dampness a little. Towels smelled as bleach a little, but it is better than if they was badly wash :)

Location was good in the centre of the city. This hotel is a disaster and booking.com should not use it. I am fairly easily pleased so this is not an overstatement! The miseey starts on arrival when you realise it is in the red light district and the hotel entrance is next to a sex shop. Then you have to climb many steep steps with your luggage. Then after booking in, you have to go back down those stepsand walk behind the building to a filthy back alley and enter the hotel again from the rear and climb fifty stairs again to be rewarded with a eoom that is outdated and a bit grubby. Towels old and hard. Nylon bedding with cigarette burns. Disastrous start to our stay in Montreali.
