i wold like to thank evry one one hotel for a good service
location, friendly staff,
no elevator ,
I liked everything! It is a wonderful hotel. I certainly will recommend it to all of my friends going to Montreal. During the first night of my stay it was noisy outside. So, The next morning I asked for another room. Almost immediately I got a very quiet room facing the back side of the hotel, and the rest of my stay was perfect.
Very comfortable, easy parking
Friendly staff. Centrally located to everything. Nice size room. Cleaned and well presented every day. Would recommend, good value for money, and very quiet, no problems sleeping.
The stairs. Quite a few to climb when you come home tired, but saying that they are good solid stairs with plenty of hand rails.
Helpful staff, clean & comfortable bed. Location
Close to many attractions
Extremely small bed and sex shops are all around area.
We liked the reception staff who were very helpful - particularly the man who carried our two heavy suitcases down to the street for us. We loved the way the owner/manager came and chatted with us over breakfast. Although we only stayed one night we felt sure that if we had stayed longer he would have been able to suggest places of interest for us.
room felt new
Entrance next to the sex shops
Kitchenette with stove, microwave and fridge Central location Very helpful & obliging staff Good value for money in an expensive city Good hot and powerful shower
An extra blanket in the room would have been nice but there were extra pillows
staff, breakfasts, location
due to location is not a quiet place to stay, wifi spotty
location (we walked everywhere); spacious studio with well-equipped kitchen; close to nice restaurants and bars
No window soundproofing, so very, very noisy. It was almost impossible to sleep at night because of the street noise (they offer ear-plugs at the reception, but that's not a solution for me). Parking a few streets away quite difficult to find at first.
decor, hard wood floors, cleanliness, breakfast
not knowing that breakfast was not included, noise from street, hard to open the windows and no screens on windows.
One block from Metro station, which is THE way to get around town and two blocks from Complexe Desjardines (which includes the Hyatt Regency, shops, food and parking garage) . Only a short walk to Old Montreal and the port, as well as Chinatown. Wonderfully clean. Staff is helpful. Overall, it was a nice place to stay, mainly because of the price and location.
No parking, so one either pays for the open lot right behind the hotel or goes to a parking garage, which is what we did. It was only about 2 blocks away, so it was no big deal, and it was cheaper than the open lot. There are really no amenities at all in the room. There is water downstairs, but nothing in the room except a TV. Also, the toilet and shower are on opposite sides of the room, which was a little odd. Beware the bums/beggars at night, but that seems to be no different than downtown in any other large city.
The staff at the hotel were absolutely amazing. They were wonderful with our son (even making extra garbage runs for us if we had an extra smelly diaper), and also had a crib set up in the room for him when we arrived. They also greeted you by name when you came down in the morning and went out of their way to suggest activities and sites.
THE STAIRS. Arrived at 10pm after a long drive from Ontario to find a large tight flight of stairs. It was difficult hauling our stroller, bags, gear, up and down every day. The free breakfast that's offered is only included in certain rooms which was strange, we paid one day and it was a great breakfast.
The location was very convenient for the waterside, Chinatown and restaurants. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast served was excellent.
Having to carry suitcases up to the 2nd floor as older people. The sex shop next door.
Downstairs shop No bar facilities
I honestly can say I have a extend travel history and lots of different hotels all around, the Hotel is well maintained and you can noticed the efforts of the owner to keep in great condition, everybody is so friendly and professional , the owner is a fine gentleman and he knows to take care of his guests BUT this guy DAVID in the front desk , he is simply the best , he is so awesome, he recommends , instruct , advice and do everything possible for make your stay in the hotel and the city a great experience , of course I will come back and I recommended this place a lot.
Very close to everything you can walk to old Montreal in 10-15 minutes place des arts it's just 2 minutes by walk maybe les , and the studio was very big, quiet and comfortable
Helpful, friendly staff. Good location. Reasonably priced parking nearby.
Sex shop right next to the hotel.
Staff and location were great. Breakfast was very high quality with wonderful bagels, bread, croissant, pate. staff was very helpful in giving suggestions for restaurants, and getting to attractions by foot or bus. Location was great--can walk to most sights, and very close to subway and buses. Remodeled rooms are very nice.
Make sure you get a room where the window opens if you are going there when the weather is nice. Street noise can be loud, but the location is great. There are a lot of steps, but that is true of all older hotels.
The location was very central, staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast was good , excellent coffee very fresh croissant, bread etc
My taxi driver from the airport was very negative about the area and kept asking me if I really wanted to go there. The area is a bit like soho china town redlight district but cool and safe. So don't be put off.
The room I stayed in was very clean and modern. Loved the hardwood floors. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel. My favourite part, was when the front desk called my friend and I a taxi and made us wait in the lobby for the driver to come upstairs to get us so we would not get ripped off, nor have to wait on the street corner. Very impressive.
From the moment we arrived it felt like we were truly welcome. The staff was unbelievably helpful, the hotel shining clean and the building had a unique yet updated character. The location was easy to find and close to public transit.
Nothing really. Being located between the edge of a bustling, shopping and arts area and an area still in need of renewal could have negative results, but the hotel was a convenient oasis of comfort and rest.
This newly renovated hotel is located conveniently in a trendy area of central downtown Montreal. One night in August, a pianist rolled his grand piano down St. Catherine street and played at the foot of our hotel, amazing experience! Carol, our receptionist, was excellent service. She had good recommendations for Montreal fun and was so accommodating, she was so welcoming and almost motherly. Such a lovely lady.
Only downside to this otherwise fantastic hotel is that there are beggars on St Catherine looking for spare change. This is a safe and trendy area and I have not felt unsafe, but it was bothersome to be stopped on the street. Perhaps this should be expected when you stay downtown in a large city. Still worth staying here. $$ to quality ratio is well worth it, especially with downtown Montreal hotel prices.
