je nach Zimmerlage Verkehrslärm, altes Hotel, manches funktioniert nicht

Ich hatte nach einem günstigen Hotel in einer zentralen Lage gesucht. Beide Ansprüche hat das Hotel Quartier erfüllt. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer waren praktisch und für den Preis absolut in Ordnung. Das quirlige Hotelumfeld und die gute Lage zum Busbahnhof, zur Metro und auch zum Hauptbahnhof sind optimal.

Es liegt super zentral. Für Besuch der Innenstadt sehr geeignet. Man kann abends direkt in das Nachtleben starten und tagsüber natürlich auch. Das Personal ist sehr nett, v.a. im Frühstücksräumchen.

Es ist etwas renovierungsbedürftig. Die Parksituation ist etwas unkonfortabel, da man in ein Parkhaus in einer Seitenstraße (Bibliothek) fahren muß. Die Einfahrt zum Parkhaus ist extrem eng.

Sehr gute Lage

Die Lage des Hotels direkt im Quartier Latin ist wunderbar mit den zahlreichen Restaurants, Bars, Cafes und Bistros direkt um die Ecke. Auch die Metrostation (Berri UQAM) ist nur einen kurzer Fußweg entfernt.

Die Einrichtung unseres Zimmers war in manchen Aspekten überholungsbedürftig: abgestoßenes Mobiliar, Brandflecken in der Tagesdecke auf dem Bett. Was gar nicht klappte war die Nutzung unserer Kreditkarten. Angeblich konnte kein Kontakt hergestellt werden oder die Karte wurde als "invalid" angesehen. Die Kartennutzung klappte aber überall sonst in Montreal. Der Rezeptionist meinte dann: "Would you do me a favour and pay in cash." Auch ein Blick in das Buch mit den Tageseinträgen zeigte auch bei anderen Kunden zumeist die Bezahlung per cash. Das hinterließ dann doch einen faden Beigeschmack. Auf jeden Fall können so die Gebühren umgangen werden.

I liked the proximity to public transportation and to many neighborhoods like Old Montreal, the Latin Quarter, and the Village.

There was a minor issue with a stained pillowcase, but that was fixed the minute I pointed it out.

The location is excellent, close to the metro and in a nice neighborood with a lot of restaurants and shops.

The room was not confortable (very small) and not very clean. Just only two towels for two people and the washroom was broken.

Reasonable price...always...location is still prime, parking is easy as pie when you check in...VERY important...and you have a spot you know you can trust to put your car and it's reasonable!

The staff was a bit rude on a morning..I went in for the free breakfast that was advertised from 8 until 10. My friend and I went in at 8:15..the door was open and there was no one there. It looked like a self-serve situation, especially with the instructions on the wall... (1 coffee - 1 juice per customer...etc). Well we started serving ourselves and a guy came in and first talked in French and then English when we didn't understand and didn't politely say that it was not self-serve...he made me feel like I was at fault for serving myself. He said something to the effect of "You aren't supposed to be behind the counter, you aren't allowed..it's only us that is permitted to do it". Granted.....the language barrier is probably to blame on that front. It's difficult to say some things graciously when you are dealing with a 2nd or third language situation. Very minor overall. We love the place. Will always return!

Room was nice, hotel is in a good location, quiet and close to restaurants.

Staff seemed annoyed if you asked them anything, checking out they just took my key and didn,t say a word. Staff were always on personal computers and ignored you when you came in or left hotel.

Hql offers very low priced accomodation so is understandably basic, but is clean and has what you need. The beds (doubles we used) are comfortable The continental breakfast with Oj, coffee and a choice of croissants or large mufffins is enough to keep you for the morning. The location is wonderful - huge secure underground public lot right behind it @$12 for 24 hours, and 5 minute walk from Berri Uquam station - the centre of Montreal's metro. Then it is right on St. Denis - restaurants, bars, nightlife ...

Being right on St. Denis is its big attraction, but as an older building without central air or any ac maybe in some rooms, you need to open windows to stay cool at night with the fan provided in the room. And St Denis is very loud all night long ..just ask for a room not facing St. Denis.Don't take 304 (unless you plan to join the all night partying yourself). .

Breakfast is not a breakfast. Coffee tasted like it was brewed 2 days prior. I couldn't drink it. Previous guests body hair in the bathroom. Room were not cleaned everyday.

No nonsense. Fridge in the room. Very polite staff. Gave info we needed - weather, directions, etc. Back room so no noise from street. Could open window for fresh nigh air. Didn't have to wait for breakfast - it was available. Filled my flask etc. No fuss just practical. Humour in conversations....

Wasn't a kettle in the room but got one when I asked specifically for one. Had to carry my own bag but was only one floor up. I didn't ask so maybe they would have done it.

The hotel is in the heart of montreal down town . Very close to theaters , night clubs , cloths and souviner stores . ....... It's a great hotel , budget friendly in a great location . Was really nice to stay there .

I liked the atmosphere and the quality of rooms provided at this hotel.The one thing I would like to appreciate that the rooms were very comfortable and clean.

The location is great and the price too.

My boyfriend got scabies from the bed. The strong smell of perfume or fragrant cleaning product gave me serious headache, had to leave the window open at all time. Very strong smell of cigarette smoke. Hygiene is not their priority. The breakfast is ridiculous. Limited in the amount of food you can have (and I don't eat a lot).
