Central location close to most - on restaurant row
Room A/C - Heat not controled room by room - lack of elevator - musty room smell - though it appeared clean
Too old. It hasn't been upkept.
-friendly staff -great location
-water pressure in shower was weak
20 minute walk to McGill
+ rear parking + price
- breakfast is in a basement room without windows. - lack of natural light in room -room was smelling bad
Awesome hotel for a young couple looking to party! Downtown location, close to shopping and metro. The rooms are clean and essentials are there. Would definitely come back here again!! Do not book here if you are expecting a high class hotel, this is more of a motel. Great value though!! :)
The location was superb, the staff was super helpful, easy location from the airport using the 747 bus & 2 block walk.
Be in Rue St Denis where you need to be for food restaurant and visif of old town
Need effort on room cleanning The quantity of croissant or muffins were restricted at breakfirst which is not understandable
frendly staff, good breakfast, parking (extra pay) in metropolitan garage about 3 min by walk, one block to subway. many restaurant and fast foods just few steps from hotel
generaly: lodging prices in City of Montreal are higher respect quality wichone offer. But...
Not very fancy, but well located, clean, and great value for the low price!
Had a great time was not there for luxury was good for $ location excellent !!!
lots of restaurants very close to the hotel
bed bags!!! I have satyed in may different hotels, b&Bs and motels even but it was the first time I experienced bed bugs and it wasn't nice. Noise - the hotel is on a street with lots of restaurants, pubs and there is even a men's club right next to it so we didn't get too much sleep on Saturday night. There were many more things that were not that exciting but the above were my main issues.
Near the bus terminal, the Metro, Vieux Montreal, and the Village. Reasonably priced.
I wish the air conditioning in my room was stronger. It was cooler in the hallway!
I loved the location. It was good value for money, but still not cheap when you take into account the cost of parking. Other hotels would have on site parking at no extra charge. The staff were friendly.
I simply could not use the shower. There may have been air in the pipes. The shower simply screamed. The noise was deafening, Practically as loud as a smoke detector. I actually had to turn it off, soap up, then turn it back on to rinse off. I complained to the management. They said they had fixed the problem, but it still made this unbearable sound. I just could not use the shower. Also, they only clean the rooms every other day. I even had to ask for more toilet paper.
The street it is located in. Full of life.
The bed was dirty. I saw hair on the pillow. I suspect there was bed bugs.
The staff was kind and I loved the location. Perfectly situated closely to downtown.
The bed contained bed bugs!! My cousin had several bites due to the bed in the hotel.
Great location and staff!
Bed bugs! I changed rooms and they were still there... Nightmare!!!
good location (public library is just behind - cheap parking) many restaurants on street
central A/C - you cannot change temperature in your room - it was biggest problem for us basis breakfast - one muffin and cup of tea
We were shuffled off to another hotel, on the pretense our rooms at the Quartier weren't ready. Classic bait and switch.
Location Cost Little noise
Hot Small bed Uncomfortable fabric on bedding and towel Small room Ugly facade
Staff (person named Raj) was rude, unprofessional, uncouth and impolite. Breakfast serving person was the rudest person and there was limit what you can take in the breakfast from that person. There was no choice and no variety. I never saw that kind of arrangement for breakfast. Washrooms were not cleaned properly and hairs were swept behind the washroom doors. Although enough parking space in the background but still they don't allow the customers to park there rather they send everyone to park the car in the library car parking.
Basic small room but very good location near the old town, fine for a short stay.
No lift and narrow staircase, difficult if you have a large suitcase!
Location had lots of restaurants and 4 big name coffee shops within very short walk distance. Starbucks across the street, 2-3 doors down McDonald's. Tim Hortons and Second cup a short walking distance.
There was no A/C in the tiny room or any kind of air circulation.when I asked about the A/C we were told it's coming, so we got a fan. The room had a strong odor from the air freshener that was trying to mask something. Window was very tiny with no view just facing a roof and if you're clostrophobic it's a no no. Furniture was old and chipped, tiny chair was dirty. The tub and the faucets were not clean. The bed was pretty comfortable and clean.
